The shoes has a foul smell. It nothing like you see in the advertised picture. Although they advertise full refund, the return address in in China and will coast you $100 to ship. They will go back and forth with you about refund full amount. The whole thing is scam. Do not buy from them.

This company is a total SCAM! The website showed a photo of "Charlotte" in her supposed NYC workshop, but when my order shipped, the email stated the package was coming from China, not the US. The first pair I received had ridiculously thin soles with no support and were so flimsy that they couldn't be worn outside the house. The second pair that was advertised as waterproof leather was NOT leather, but cheap PU and I seriously would doubt they're truly waterproof. They're marked size 38 but when measured against my size 36 Chuck Taylors, the length of the soles was identical.

I bought these boots through PayPal and contacted them immediately to stop the remaining payments on my pay-in-4 plan. Luckily, I was issued a full refund and PayPal atopped the remaining three payments from processing. I donated the hideous boots to a charity, but maybe I should have thrown them in the trash because they were total garbage.

This scam company was advertised on Facebook. I have discovered many high quality footwear thanks to FB ads over the years from legit brands like A.S.98, Freebird by Steven, and Modern Vice, so I was surprised that this false advertising was even allowed. I guess FB does not vet business anymore.

I am one of the lucky ones who figured out within a day of purchase that the billing was from Hong Kong and called my CC to cancel transaction. I also emailed these lying thieves and requested cancellation of the order as CC rep requested me to do that. At first, they wanted to continue with the order because they said there was no reason for me to cancel. They also urged me not to contact my bank and not to cancel the transaction. My followup email to that was no longer a nice request. They cancelled my order then and i have my money back. Since Facebook allowed these false advertising ads, I feel they are partially responsible for the scam. Facebook blocks legitimate posts, ads yet they allow SCAM to continue. I’ve reported Charlottes Footware page multiple times now yet they are still active and still scamming people.

This is a total SCAM.
These foreign companies love stealing legitimate company’s websites, mimicking their product and selling crap.
I am embarrassed that they got me. $62 for a ridiculously attempted replica stated to be leather with the utmost craftsmanship. They need to be stopped!

Do NOT purchase from this company, if you don’t want the hassle of RETURNING your item if it doesn’t fit. They APPEAR as though they are an American company, but the DECEPTION is evident if the footwear does not fit. They are based in CHINA! Deceivers!
The purchaser is given the option of keeping the Ill-fitting footwear, otherwise, pay the postage and RETURN the ill-fitting footwear back to: Wang Maoqin, 1177 Lane, Jianian Road, Meixu Street, Yinzhou District, Ningbo, Zhejiang, CHINA.
Plus, you will have to pay the postage Yourself, in order to get your full refund. Take your chances of buying from this company
if you want the hassle. Just saying……

Red Flag Number one. lying about location. Red Flag number 2. Claimed boot was "Premium Leather" when in fact boot is "faux leather" refused to stop shipment and now reading another review, looks like it is a sham and scam company. They Placed ad on Facebook saying closing sale. "Charlotte" claimed they were in New York city and closing their workshop and doors after 34 years. My CC statement says they are based out of Hong Kong and that it is shipping from China. Beware of they sneaky tactics. like the fact they make it seem, like the shoes were handcrafted in the US, but instead ship cheap PVU products from China instead. And yes like previous reviewer said, There is another company call Graces Bags and has same website and same sob story that "grace" is closing her store after 34 years . and the first reviews are same horrible 1 star reviews that bags are crap and cheap and it is a scam. Stuff coming from China and returning is a nightmare. Another company I found called Tanner Shoes. Same website format showing Eldery couple. they sell mens shoes. and surprise!!, no visible comments on facebook. Don't fall for it and if you see the same tactics, please review on Trustpilot, so others can be made aware of these very deceptive business tactics coming from Hong Kong/PRC.

This looks and sounds just like Grace's Bags which was a scam. I know because I fell for that one. Exactly the same premise; closing shop with her husband they've had for over 30 yrs, etc... Even same type photo of "Charlotte". And too good to be true prices. Beware!
