Salon out of business???…

Wish I had checked for the reviews before I booked! Booked a facial on line at Charmelle, London Road BR1, only to find the salon closed on arrival. Phone calls go to recorded messages. Spoke to the business next door in case they knew anything. They said they’ve taken in some parcels for the salon which haven’t been collected for 2 weeks. Looks like they’ve gone out of business? BUT their phone lines and online bookings are still working so happy to take your money! This is fraudulent!!! Avoid avoid avoid!!! I’m £75 out of pocket.

Stay away from Charmelle London

I booked a consultation at Charmelle London, and it turned out to be a truly disappointing experience. I live roughly 1.5 hours away, and due to massive train cancellations, I spoke to them on the way and informed them I would be 30 minutes late. Despite already traveling for over 1.5 hours and offering to wait, they flatly refused to see me, even for just 5 minutes.

I asked if I could speak to someone else—again, they said no. Could I get a refund for the consultation fee of £50? No. Could I reschedule? No. It wasn’t about the rules but the appalling lack of empathy and basic courtesy shown. The dismissive attitude made the situation far worse than it needed to be.

After that conversation I obviously got off the next station and took the train back home . As I was on my way back home, they suddenly called and told me they can see me if I could make it if I got there in 10 minutes due to a cancellation. I explained that I was already on my way back and it would take me more than 10 minutes to return. Despite this, I still offered to come back if they were willing to see me . The obvious answer was no . The indifference in their tone was obvious—it felt like I was being brushed off.

It’s shocking how little they seem to care about people. If this is how they treat potential clients, I can only imagine how they handle things after they've been paid. A lack of basic compassion goes a long way in ruining what could have been a good experience. I certainly won’t be returning. Its not about your terms & conditions but how you make a person feel .

God bless their patients.

Worst mistake

Wish I saw these reviews before I went! I couldn’t more strongly recommend avoiding Charmelle London! I hate complaining and am not one to write reviews in general but I had to from my experience here, and want to save anyone else from possibly having the same experience.

I came for filler in my nose. Firstly, as other reviews have said it isn’t the most welcoming or friendly place to walk in to. Although my aesthetician was friendly, the results of my nose were not good and made the bump and my nose look bigger! I have had filler in my nose before elsewhere multiple times in the past and loved the results, and only came here as my usual place is much further a commute (which clearly is worth it). I don’t have a difficult nose to correct, I just have a slight bump in the middle. I asked to keep the natural lift in the tip of my nose but that was completely filled in to the point it looks like it’s turning down and bulging out! The shape created is horrible, and completely not what anyone would expect from nose correction!

Immediately after I got home after my appointment I let them know how unhappy and upset I was with how bad my nose looked. The owner offered to correct it, so I returned, even after some quite awkward and hostile comments that didn’t give the greatest impression. On my return I was offered the filler to be dissolved or that she could fix it. I completely made the mistake of just wanting it just to be fixed as I was so upset and stressed, when I should most definitely have got it dissolved! I think I trusted it would be able to be fixed as it was the owner and she said it was possible. It was made somewhat better looking (still not great at all I have to say) and was happy enough to leave it at the time as I had sort of just given up at this point, and was nowhere near my usual past results elsewhere. Filler in the nose takes a little while to settle, so after a few days, it just was back to how it was previously from the original appointment. There was no correcting it fully as it is just very overfilled in the wrong places.

I’m not great at complaining and regret not getting is dissolved and a refund as I hated the service and the filler so much. It has been a few months and hasn’t dissolved naturally as much as I was hoping. So I emailed them again explaining all of this, and how unhappy I am with the way the filler looks still. Bear in mind I’ve never had any type of refund, or asked for one, they asked me to pay £100 for it to be dissolved. I of course, won’t be giving them more of my money on a service I have hated the entire time. As this would then make it £400 that I’ve stupidly spent on filler done wrong. As much as they may want to say otherwise, I have had it done a few times prior elsewhere and it look amazing so I know how it should look, or should even look close to! I cannot wait to dissolve an refill at my regular clinic! But what a waste of money!

Unprofessional and no response to missing purchase; fraudsters

Ordered a skincare product on 19 November and still has not arrived, no reply to my emails, and good luck trying to get someone to answer the phone. Tried for several days and was then asked to send an email. Almost 4 weeks later, and still no response. Will have to pursue via credit card company.

Disorganised and unreliable but good treatments and nice people

I have been a regular customer of Charmelle, having had plenty of procedures from them over the past few years. And I will likely continue to use them, but with caution - a caution that I would like to share with others.

First, the good: The practitioners are pleasant and competent, and the treatments are done well. There is also a wide variety of treatments available.

Then, the bad: Good luck getting them to honor the appointments they schedule with you. By my calculations, around 90% of the appointments I have booked with them over the past two years (and my use of them goes back further, I just don't have the data) are rescheduled on me at short notice. All kinds of reasons are given - the practitioner is ill, the practitioner is no longer with them, they are out of stock of the solution needed for the treatment, or no reason at all.

I am a busy person, I work long hours in a client facing environment involving numerous appointments (that I keep), and I give a lot of my hard earned money to Charmelle as a regular customer. Yet they repeatedly fail me on their administration. They fail to recognise the treatments they give often require careful timing on the customer's part due to the 'down time' following treatment.

When I call to reschedule, the person helping me doesn't have the information to hand to tell me how much 'down time' I should allow for when rescheduling, or whether I can fly within a certain period after the procedure - which makes rescheduling a bit difficult. That happened to me today - and it's not the first time. Simply leaving a 'cheat sheet' of FAQs with the receptionist would have solved this issue, but no one in management seems to think about these kinds of things.

Bottom line is that you just can't rely on this company, administratively.

Again, it's not the people in the shop, as far as I can tell. And for them, I'll return occasionally, but not without checking my options elsewhere first. It's really the way this company is managed at HQ level that is forcing me to look around. Shambolic.

Booked a treatment through treatwell…

Booked a treatment through treatwell and pre paid only to turn up and be told I could not be seen as no appointment available even though I had text and email confirmation. This is the second time it has happened to me. Won’t be booking for Charmelle again. I have to add I have used treatwell for other venues and had no issues.

Unfortunately I would not recommend…

Unfortunately I would not recommend this clinic at all. I started in December with aqualyx for my double chin, I haven’t noticed any change after almost 4 months, when they assured me that it would work, I had a horrible allergy with burning in the area and they don't seem to care, I wrote some emails that they never answered. They are only interested in money and not in the final results of the treatments or the process. I had to have the second treatment, which was a Hifu, because if I didn't, I would lose the money, money wasted anyway... There are many clinics in London that follow up and care about customer expectations and doing a good job, this one is not one of them. Cosmetic treatments still linked to health.

I have purchased a plasma pen treatment…

I have purchased a plasma pen treatment on Black Friday last year. The company advertises to have a salon in Harley street which turned out to be a lie. They were not able to provide appointment until January and when I turned up at Harley street nobody was there. They forgot to cancel my appointment. I should have known this is a red flag, but I was offered a new appointment which I have attended to. I was shocked by the building and found out then that they don't have a salon on Harley street they are renting a little room in this very dirty and old building. I paid £500 for my appointment, the practitioner was rude, I was expected to come for the appointment with local anesthetic applied by myself - which I have found out at the appointment and I was not even told that the treatment was going to be so painful. The local anesthetic they have applied was an over the counter which did not work at all. I wasn't even offered a glass of water throughout the appointment. The treatment was an agony, I had high hopes and I left with huge scars and pigmentation on my face and neck. I have addressed my concerns right after the treatment but the salon manager couldn't be bothered. Then eventually when I suggested that in case It doesn't heal I will be taking legal steps, they offered a review appointment but ofcourse in Bromley - because their Harley street clinic is non existent - however they cancelled this appointment too on the same day, thereafter started to harass me to attend a rescheduled appointment which caused me anxiety and I did not attend. Overall, extremely rude and unprofessional team, with the exception of the receptionist. I feel sorry for her working there. I wish I have never got this treatment, I am mortified how my face and neck looks and it doesn't seem to be healing anymore, after 4 month (!!!) I have sausage neck because the therapist went so deep with the pen, and have pigmentation above my lips and around, which looks like a moustache . I suggest everyone to keep away from these people. They should be closed down. I wish I have read reviews before booking with them I have to spend now a fortune on trying to fix my skin and neck with LED therapy. Which might not even work and I will.be left forever with scars and pigmentation. Really really upset and disappointed with them. Shameful service.

Very disappointing experience

Very disappointing experience, left feeling like they're just after your money, and doesn't actually care about the end result or providing the 'customer satisfaction', as they so claim. Had a tear through injections and after a week there was still no improvement whatsoever, so booked in to go for a follow up to try and top up, but was told that they can only do this at extra charge and completely ignored the fact that the area was still very sunken and with not much improvement, meaning their initial service was unsatisfactory and needed fixing.. but despite the fact that virtually all the other salons offer top ups upon review with no extra charge for such fillers, this particular salon is simply after your money so don't expect them to offer any considerable aftercare, as that is not in their books.. very bad long term strategy, as this certainly doesn't help to land any customer loyalty in the long run as there's so many other places with much much better aftercare and genuine interest in providing results the customer is happy with..

Lucky trust pilot don’t give 0 stars…

Lucky trust pilot don’t give 0 stars because that’s what you deserve
I had a booked online for a session of derma fillers and when i got there Saturday they couldn’t find my booking and they we’re whispering like I wasn’t there seeing them trying to fit me in more than half hour later than i was supposed and finally i had to leave because i was going to be late at my meeting in north London
Traveled all the way from Luton only to be told that they haven’t got a clue what they doing
Funny enough i brought up the review situation on here and the lady shrugged off and played it like customers have a problem and not the shop has one
My online booking had 15% discount and the lady promised that she was going to speak with the “director” to see if she can offer further discount for my time and fuel wasted ( not to say that i had to open the door for people waiting outside knocking on the door for 10 minutes)
I had to call the shop to check because they wouldn’t call back on any occasion to make me go back there and have the procedure done
I called again this morning and this lady is so rude that she never apologised for my wasted time and fuel money and she couldn’t wait to hang up
Most 5 stars reviews on trust pilot for this place are fake and i know why
Lack of customer service , respect or anything at all 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

I have had multiple treatments done at Charmelle with a couple of different members of staff and I have been so happy every time.
I have had fillers done with Cham and she was perfect at explaining the process, offering guidance as to how much to have to achieve the desired effect and going through the aftercare.
I have also been have the 3D lipo with Kelsey and again, she has been fab at explaining each part of the process.
The salon is lovely and relaxing and I will be back again.
