Louise has worked with us for a year now. Since she has joined us, the children in my class have made some excellent progress. The children love to attend her sessions and always come back with a big smile on their face. They then use the skills she has taught them in their classroom setting. The reports she creates for each child are specific and the next steps are achievable but challenging for the child.

Olivia Bangham has been our Phase 1 Speech and Language Therapist since September 2021. In the time she has been working with our children they’ve made fantastic progress. She is approachable, supportive and always goes that extra mile. She provides personalised, detailed therapy plans with next steps which are clear and understandable; she also provides ready-made resources to support this and shows our team how to implement them. She gives us regular updates on how her sessions have been and always checks in on our base sessions. Orange Base are very appreciative of Olivias hard work and support throughout this year!

I am a speech and language therapist student who has completed a 12 weeks block of placement. My placement educators were Jaimisha and Helena, they have been really supportive since the beginning all the way to my final day of placement. They helped me building my confidence and allow me to manage some caseloads independently. They always have been available for me whenever I needed some extra support. They have been providing me with various amazing opportunities to build my skills and put any theory learnt from university into practice.
All the staff were really nice and always willing to help and share ideas. A special thank you for admin staff who have helped me booking appointments, calling school and parents.
Once again thanks to Jaimisha and Helena for making my placement experience really valuable.

Olivia Bangham has been working with us at Bankside since Sept 2021. Since she has joined us the children have made some incredible progress, and we are so grateful! Her support has been phenomenal, the reports accurately reflect the children and the next steps are appropriate. The whole team is thankful that she has taken the time to not only suggest next steps, but to put the resources together, demonstrate and implement. The only 'bad' thing to add is that Olivia is not here enough, more than two days would be much better!

Chatterbug have been working with us since September 2021. We have found them and the Therapist to be really organised and professional. Safah organises her time well and ensures that she gets a detailed history from parents to help with her assessment. The reports that we receive are very comprehensive and she ensures staff are well-trained to deliver the therapy programmes. Safah also regularly reviews the progress that the children have made.

I attended a placement at ChatterBug with Charlotte and the support and assistance I received was invaluable. She allowed me to not only engage in therapy sessions but actively encouraged me to challenge myself further to develop my learning. Charlotte allowed me to take control and ensured she explained terms she was using throughout which was extremely useful considering this is my first SLT based placement. Once again, thank you so much.

Great personalised session, very informative, and friendly presenter. I would have liked a few more people on the course for discussion and feedback and also written notes in advance.

The service in which we are provided as a school allows us to be flexible in the support which we provide to all of our students. The service and in-particular the colleagues which provide it are professional and approachable for our vulnerable learners. I would highly recommend this service to schools.

We are very fortunate to have Chatterbugs in our school and very grateful of the work Charlotte has done with us. She has been great with the children she takes out, speaks to the parents and explains things very clearly and makes time to speak to myself and my TA. The children she takes are keen to go with her and approach her once she enters my classroom. They have had a very positive and meaningful experience with Charlotte.

Jaimisha Parmar, from Chatterbug, has been working with our school for just over a year. Although it's been a very unsettled year with school closures, we have continued to recieve high quality speech and language support for our pupils. Assessments have been made quickly and reports been thorough with easy to follow therapy programmes and guidence given. Jaimisha has always been easy to contact and quick to answer any queries too. I am a final year student Speech and Language Therapist and I had the pleasure to have ChatterBug as my paediatric placement. I was nervous to start, because placements have been hit hard due to covid, however, all the therapists I worked with during placement were very welcoming and supportive. They were very proactive during the covid pandemic and made my remote placement just as rewarding and accessible as a face-to-face placement. I feel a lot more confident now to become a newly qualified Speech and Language Therapist when I graduate!

I am a Speech and Language Therapy student in my final year of study at Birmingham City University. I recently completed a 12 week block placement with ChatterBug and I worked with Renata Balli and Bethany Brown who were fantastic throughout. They are both incredibly knowledgeable and experts at what they do. Over the 12 week block I learned so much from them, and now feel driven to work alongside children in my future career. I was given amazing opportunities to put theory into practice and develop my skills with independence, whilst always having my supervisors available for support when I needed them.

All members of staff at ChatterBug are kind and welcoming, and always helped me with any queries I had. I felt as though I was part of the ChatterBug team throughout my time on placement.

As a service provider and a placement provider, ChatterBug are a fantastic company. Their work is client focused every step of the way, and as a student with the company, I feel they offer an amazing and unique experience.

Bethany Brown was excellent at liaising with school around referrals and current priorities with certain children as sometimes I would email her to change the children that she would see. Her assessments and reports were very clear and she provided resources that were needed as well as referring children to outside agencies such as ENT. We have been able to fast track certain children for assessments, rather than wait 12 plus weeks for an NHS assessment. The support plan and resources were very clear for our experienced TA's to follow.

I have found the communication between myself and Chatterbugs staff to be good and I have been pleased with the speed of responses and their cheery and accommodating attitude. However, there have been a lot of Chatterbugs staff changes recently and as a result some children have fallen behind in assessments and reports being written. We have quite a high caseload (I think anyway!) and some older children have missed out a bit as new younger children are coming through also SALT needs.

During these difficult times when face to face therapy and review meetings haven’t been possible,Jaimisha Parmar has provided us with updated care plans and comprehensive telephone link meetings alongside review meetings for some of our children. All of these have been on a friendly and professional basis and have been critical for the continued care of our mutual children.
Unfortunately our firewall in school blocks the platform that Chatter bugs uses for Tele health and so we are having to setup Teams meetings in order to facilitate therapy sessions.
Occasionally we have had to chase up care plans that haven’t been uploaded onto the portal, but again Jaimisha has been invaluable with her help in resolving this for us.
The staff are always happy to help and support us with our children, providing resources and advice.

Maria has been such an asset to our school. She has worked incredibly hard especially over lock down on virtual calls with both children and staff. SALT has been one of the strenghths within our school during lockdown as most children had sessions and myself and Maria were able to support our children through a difficult period so on one got left behind.

Our therapist is Fatemah Waraich. She’s new and is working incredibly hard to get through lots of initial assessments after referrals were made as schools reopened in March. She’s quick but thorough, her communication is great and she’s got a lovely manner with us and the children. They trust her already and she’s building up a great relationship with us, the parents and the children.

Our little girl has really been struggling with her speech. Luckily this was very quickly picked up at nursery and she was referred to Jaimisha Parmar at Chatterbug. Ms Parmar has been very supportive and helpful. Always available for questions or help/support when needed. Even during lockdown we were able to continue sessions online (which has now returned to nursery sessions). Our little girls speech is slowly improving and we hope that she will have caught up by the time she starts reception. We are very grateful for the help and input we have had.

Working with jaimisha Parmar to help the children during lockdown really helped they really enjoyed it and it helped them along the way. It was very easy to use and get on to the lessons as well.
