I ordered a laptop, but cancelled it before it was despatched. Try as I might, I got no answer to phone calls. I sent 9 emails, but not one was replied to. The machine was delivered which I refused. Do not hold your breath. I took delivery, and was quite surprised. Tha machine is old but in good nick. I am still unhappy about the lack of response, tho.

I have bought three laptops from this company in the past five years and had no problems at all. They are not the best communicators - but the computers are as advertised and all work! I would use them again.

I was in a rush and needed a cheap laptop quickly. I didn't read the trust pilot reviews before I ordered with this company and then I did after payment and got very worried that I would receive nothing or complete rubbish.
I think the essential take-away is you get what you pay for. I ordered a Lenovo thinkpad T410 that had been refurbed for £179. It arrived within 48 hours, it completely works, it doesn't have a camera and it is like carrying around a brick but it is what I ordered. For the money I paid, it is great. I emailed for the microsoft office package to be installed (which I had pre-paid) and they got back to me within a few hours with clear directions.
I am sorry other people have had bad experiences but, just in case you do as I did and check the reviews after buying, my experience wasn't bad at all and I would order again if a cheap laptop is needed.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. You do not get the laptop you order from the website. The laptops are faulty pieces of junk that clearly do not get thoroughly checked like the website states. Worst of all, any email sent about refunds etc get ignored. This is not how to run a business.

Company is crap they have been holding my money for over 1 month now I’m still asking them to pay me back, laptop was really bad it was never what they said it was on the website scammers poor customer service don’t reply to emails. Plz avoid by all means I will never recommend disgusting 🤮

I've had 3 laptops from this company now and all have been absolutely fine for the money, really don't know where these dramatic 'must close the company down' reviews are coming from. These people need to get a life or spend £1000+ on a new PC!

Wow this company is absolutely awful, they sent out a faulty machine, their tech guy was no help so I returned my surface pro for a refund. I sent endless communications asking where my refund was and got passed around and given excuse after excuse.. There customer service is absolutely terrible, 8 weeks later I finally received my refund, if you have any sense avoid them.

I needed an emergency laptop for work, ordered a Toshiba brand but a Fujista laptop which I never ordered was delivered instead after 10 days of ordering the item. The saddest things of it all, is that the laptop is not working at all in flights mode which I have tried to change but it wont just work.Sent severally emails to the company to show my grivances but they wont just reply to my emails.... I am bitten. Looking for customer protection agency that will look into my plights and recoup my money back for me. Least I forget, I asked for postage address to send back the laptop but to no avail

My very bad experience with this company is actually for couple of years ago and I wasn't used to writing reviews at that time, but now I thought sharing my experience could help some other people not to waste their money with this company.

I received my laptop (was free shipment) with some major technical issues and very sticky keys (like someone had poured a bowl of soup on them and you couldn't clean it!!). Tried to call them several times, but the number on their website ALWAYS immediately guides you to an automatic answer "we are extremely busy, send an email to our customer service", so I did and explained the problems and asked them to arrange the return. A man JUST replied "you must return the laptop to get a refund". I explained that because the return is definitely because of their poor performance, they will need to accept the cost of the return and they never replied.

Luckily I had paid by PayPal and could open a case there. This time a lady -at least polite- answered and said that they will pay £10 for the cost of the return. At that time, the cost of sending a laptop by parcel force was around £14 (now most likely, higher) which I used and put a big note in the package too, reminding them of the shipping cost they had accepted to pay. After a week, they simply refunded only the original price without saying a word and closed the case on PayPal. They very well knew that they were never going to pay anything for the shipment and only lied because having open cases on PayPal isn't good for them and they just wanted to get the laptop back and close the case. Although PayPal had access to all the communications and could easily see how deceiving these people have been, they saw the case as "full refund has been issued and the case is closed" and didn't accept my appeal.

Never had dealt with such rude and dishonest seller anywhere. To me personally, paying any money to such business is wrong, but even if that doesn't matter to you, bear in mind that buying from them is a gamble and if the laptop you receive, would have any issues, you will have real problems getting your refund.

Sounds too good to be true and it is. I paid for a 2 year warranty and a refurbed laptop, it has never worked, unusable, buffers persistently, I told customer service who said I can return it to be fixed but there was probably nothing they can do. How can a company fraudulently take your money and there is nothing you can do about it! It does seem odd that I just managed to find a trust pilot with 80% customer satisfaction then searched it again only to find 75% bad. I would say that they were advertised on eBay this is how I found them! Don’t use them.

I recently ordered and received a refurbished laptop from this company who state on their website how rigorous and thorough their checks are.The laptop I received had a visitor pass card for a college in the CD drive.I e-mailed them asking for instructions how to return for a full refund and after 5 days this was their reply to me :
I am not sure I see what the exact issue here is Angela. You purchased a refurbished laptop and from the sounds of it this is what you received.

Absoultely shocking !!

Total, absolute disregard for any consumer rights, do not use, especially if you think you might need any kind of aftersales support/service. Am suing for compensation, reporting to the appropriate authorities, should be closed down immediately.
Don't be fooled by any responses - I have no vested interest in writing a damaging review, they have every reason to defend themselves and counter it. And bear in mind, they are extremely expert and experienced at conning people.

Ordered laptop from them 8th Jan. They stated 3-5 working days delivery. Within that time they emailed trying to add extras. After the 5 days nothing. Emailed them responded delivery tomorrow. Nothing so I cancelled the order. No response to that. Filed a dispute with PayPal. 10 days later it arrived. Refused to accept delivery! So please be wary of them. Finally got refund from PayPal

If you do have issues and this company does not do anything to rectify, and most importantly, you have used a credit or debit card. Report them to your provider and say that the goods are faulty and you want them to reverse the transaction.
They will do this as long as you can prove that this business has not responded or made any efforts to resolve the issues.
The credit or debit card Bank will then proceed to recover the funds from them, you will have your money back to get another fit for purpose laptop.

I wish more people would read these comments before dealing with this company. They should not be in business they are crooks

A year on and i`m still having Nightmares about them, i still wake up in a sweat wondering how some one in Buisness can tell so many lies and sell such bad products .
My Doctor thinks i have a type of PTSD caused by this Company and is sending me for Hypnotherapy to try and erase my memory of the transaction and following months of trying to get my money back for the smashed laptop with `Animal Matter` hanging out of the corners. Horrible experience just Horrible.

Do not buy any products from this company. They don’t answer phone calls and don’t READ their emails.
I purchased a faulty unit which I advised them of such - within the return time and within the warranty period. I was advised that I should take out the battery - a few minor temporary ‘do it yourself’ measures to fix. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Did these things - it didn’t resolve the issue long term. After which I said I wanted to return the unit for a refund. They then said it was after the return period ( even though I had originally advised them of the problem within the return period) .. I have returned the unit for repair under warranty and advised that I had moved address. My emails were only replied to sporadically .. and obviously NOT read - as now the ‘supposed to be’ repaired unit has been returned to my old address.
No one here at this company takes responsibility, answers the phone, or reads emails .. I doubt I will get a solution to the unit being returned to the wrong address or even a reply. Do not buy from these people.

Avoid at all costs, I'm now £333.00 out of pocket, last May I received my laptop, scratched and with flashing battery light, I needed the laptop so left these 'minor' issues, now in January the screen is on its way out. I found a telephone number and was greeted with a dreary 'hello', after explaining the problem and the fact that none of my emails had been answered I was promised a return address label via email, one week later, nothing. Why am I surprised. Horrible, thieving company.

I purchased a laptop from this despicable company and like others, I failed to check independant reviews until I descovered how faulty it was as I was desperate to replace my current one before it died on me.

It took me 4hours of stress to do simple things like restart and upload Office and following numerous attempts to add a bluetooth device taking 2 of those hours, I gave up and called consumer advice.

Whist I was advised I could return the laptop and ask for a full refund, it is clear from these reviews that the address doesn't even exist so this is pointless extra stress. Plus I can't face removing all the photos etc I spent so long uploading.

So I have no option but to write off the expenditure which I can ill afford to do. The only good news is that my old laptop seems to have a new lease of life.

I have reported them to Trading Standards, hope to see them shut down some time in the future and I urge everyone to take the same action

I have used this company a number of times over the past 4 years and on the whole while I never felt they were entirely trustworthy nothing too significant went wrong. However, even in these instances it became clear that there was very little customer service offered. The most recent purchase was in November 2019 for an Apple iPad Air 16GB Refurbished WiFi Space Grey 1st. Having placed the order and been told it would be a 5-7 day delivery it ended up taking nearly 4 weeks to arrive and when it did it came directly from an individual that seemingly had nothing to do with the CheapLaptopCOmpany. I had paid for various upgrades including a 3 year warranty, and despite numerous emails asking for a proper receipt detailing these upgrades I never received one. Also, to prove it never went via CheapLaptops the order doesn't even show in my 'order history' on their website. The iPad in question completely 'died' in August 2019 and was condemned by my local IT repair specialists (I still had to pay for them trying to assess the problem). It was then that I remembered the 3 year warranty so I contacted the CheapLaptopCompany on the 20th Aug 2020 asking for a replacement. Despite over 20 chasing emails and telephoning I have not had a single response from them to-date (January 2021). I have emailed them from 2 different email addresses to ensure my emails weren't being going into their spam filter. So, after that long story I am writing this review as my only recourse to warn everyone else to avoid this company like the plague - they are incredibly unprofessional, have NO customer service and are clearly just resellers of any equipment they can get hold of (sometimes as in this case equipment they don't even have pass through their hands at all).
