A rip off company, mistakes learnt, don’t buy from a company called cheap laptop company, read reviews before purchasing.
Returned item as not what was advertised, cost £13.50 postage and they kept £18:90 to put it back on their shelf to sell to another customer. STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY!
I gave it a one star rating as you cannot give zero, even that would have been too good for them.

Scam.
Honestly please don't purchase anything from them, they say theres no problem returning items but will make you get tracked delivery to return which cost me £20 and they are saying they take 10% for a restocking charge.
Honestly the worst company i've even had the displeasure of dealing with.

I ordered a laptop for work in August 2018 it arrived next day and the charger wasn't working. A brand new arrived next day with a free laptop bag.
Laptop is sill going strong to date with no problems. Customer dervice was quick and efficient

bad customer services. i asked for ssd drive and hdd dive. I did not know this laptop can only hold hdd drive . after taking my money laptop arrived with no ssd dive. I then messaged and got told it could not hold a ssd drive and would be sent s refund for the ssd. when no refund arrived I messaged the and got told to send it back and was going to cost me 10% plus the cost of tracking . and it was with in 14 day of purchase. I told them I was going to the ombudsman to report this and with in 10 minutes there it was my refund . I told them all I wanted was an apology and my refund I ONLY got the refund. plus you CAN NOT SPEAK TO ANYONE BUT AN ANSWER. I will never do business with them again (martin)

appalling. total waste of money and terrible customer service. they are unhelpful and the laptop does not work and was not fit for purpose. do yourself a favour and save up and buy new from a mainstream retailer.

Being a bit of a noob, I looked this company up after I had ordered my laptop. To say the least, after reading all the reviews I grew concerned. However, in the end, I can report nothing but a really good experience. The laptop arrived two days after I had placed my order. Being a refurbished laptop, I'm surprised how good it looks. Mint condition, really, and it works really well. It is the type/brand of laptop that I ordered, and they have even upgraded its original Windows 7 to Windows 10. I'm incredibly pleased with this purchase. I cannot speak for anything but my own experience - but at this stage, I have nothing but good things to say about this company.

Update on my review from 3 data ago. I requested them to cancel my order and I suddenly got a response to my email to say they could not stop an order once processed and that my laptop had gone into overnight express delivery. This was at royal mail hours after I had cancelled. The laptop came and it was filthy and scratched. It looked like it had been picked out of a skip. It also had genuine windows 7 sticker & they added their own sticker for windows 10. A copy no doubt. I sent an email stating I wanted to return with immediate effect and that I had contacted the police who seemed very interested. I have also raised with my bank and paypal. I did get a return address in Oldham when registered address appears to be Ireland. Will await my full refund now

My husband purchased a reconditioned laptop.
We are in our late sixties and could not afford more.tgey tried to get him to pay for extras..
So he tried to call them several times..twice he was told they couldnt hear him
Then it kept ringing off, I then called, we were advised that this company
Operates under 3 or 4 names..
They were extremely unhelpful.

He also managed to get through to someone on line..she also was really unhelpful..my husband is distraught. We now want our money back.The bank say it was paid for with pay pal.
It wasnt..we don't use paypal.
We just don't know what to do..my husband has a life limiting lung condition,he is so angry and upset anout tjis wjole scam.
These awful people must be stopped..

Bought a laptop in good faith from this company. I ordered a Lenovo T410 which is an older model and the price was about right. I was emailed by the company asking if I'd like to have office software and antivirus installed, at a discounted price of course. I didn't need them because have access to them from other providers. The delivery came with the 10 days which given the present circumstances I was pleased with. That's when it all fell apart. I opened the box to find a dirty and highly marked and obviously not refurbished laptop. It even still had some legacy software on it. Not a Lenovo T410 but a Lenovo L512 which is actually older than the laptop it was supposed to replace. Why are people like these that run this company allowed to get away with false advertising. I have raised a PayPal resolution and I will be going to trading standards about this. Please, please buyer beware. I can't say that they were selling the laptops at stupidly knocked down prices the price was fair for a refurbished model of this age.

Update-I have managed to get paypal to organise a full refund. I have had to return the laptop at my own expense to a site in Portsmouth. Even though I'm getting money back I'm out of pocket by £20 for recorded parcel force delivery.
Update - the company contacted my and threatened fraud proceedings against me. Because I received the refund and followed the instructions from PayPal. I have also started receiving nuisance emails from third parties since given Cheap laptop company my email address.

Terrible company to deal with. Sales service before and particularly after sale is shockingly bad. Try also to upsell as soon as you make a purchase. Do not waste your money and time , try somewhere else.

Please do not buy from this site. I ordered 4 lap tops and paid up front for all in good faith. 3 arrived which were different specifications to those ordered and 2 of these 3 didn't work at all. We were put in touch with their technical team who offered to send out a new hard drive. The laptops we ordered and paid for specified webcams, specifically so that we could work and communicate from home given the Covid-19 situation. 2 of them didn't have webcams. Quite outstanding service (not). We have now been told that we will get a refund so there is some light - but we have to send them back at our cost. "The laptop must be returned via recorded delivery otherwise we cannot get the refund signed off." For the extra £50 I would stick with PC world

I wish I had seen the other reviews to understand how awful the company is re: "customer service". Save yourself time and hassle by buying elsewhere. I purchased what I believed was a gaming laptop with an expectation for a full HD screen. When it turned out not to have one (confusion which they encourage by never displaying screen resolution in detailed descriptions, I decided to return it for a full refund after zero use. They refused to honour their 14 day 'no quibbles' returns policy and instead, insisted that I send the laptop back to them via recorded delivery at my cost, after which they would charge a 10% 'restocking fee'. I'll never purchase anything else from this company and I'd encourage any prospective buyers to go elsewhere!

They have taken my money, not provided ANY delivery updates despite trying to contact them via phone & email.
All I needed was an eta which they never confirmed despite paying for the express service.
I emailed a week ago to cancel the order with no response!
I wake up this morning to a ring on the doorbell and suddenly the laptop appears!
However, a week ago I tried to cancel the order because they were not replying.
They have suddenly emailed me just now in a threatening manner telling me they will not accept the laptop back under their terms and conditions - despite me copying their t's & c's which clearly state the following:

8.1 If the Customer purchases the Products using the Sellers website or telephone number, the Customer may cancel the Contract for any reason, but no later than 7 workings days after delivery of the Products.

Disgusting service at such a bad time!

I pay online, 9£ more, for quick transport.I received the product after 6 days, not 3. The phone number its a fake no one answer, just a machine. The Laptop -279 £, make a horrible noise, I think the hard disk it's gone already. I'm scared to send back, cause no one answer at the phone or at my emails, so I lost 279£(i forgot I pay for15 inch, I received 13 inches...one). I will inform Google(its approve scammers on his aids..), my Bank, and the Police...That's all I can do. Stay away, my friends, its a thief, just all.No address, nothing. Ahh, I will inform PayPal, to block the future transaction at this thief.

I have bought 4 Lenovo laptops from this company 3 are still working with no problem the 4th is being looked under warranty so not a problem, You get what you pay for.

I since discovered that this company goes by a few different names, including 'Refurbished Laptops Direct', and 'Bargain Laptops Online'.
I ordered this laptop on 22.11.2019, as a Christmas present for my daughter. She had about two weeks use out of it before it developed a fault.
I contacted the company and was given return details. The company's website states that returns will be processed within two weeks.
They have now had the laptop for five weeks now. The level of communication from the company has been very unsatisfactory, I have been provided with no progress updates, and any replies to my emails have been unhelpful; I was informed that the laptop will be back with me 'sometime next week' on 24.01.2020, and they have now stopped replying to my emails. I have also just been informed that my purchase was not covered by Paypal Buyer Protection either, so now I'm $249 down and I don't even have a broken laptop to show for it.

Absolute scammers...do not waste your time or money. These people are disgusting; trading this way. They false advertise and send you something completely different to what you purchased and when you attempt to get in touch with them they ignore you. Believe me, they’re not getting away with this, I know exactly how to deal with these people. Not impressed at all...DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

Please save yourself the hassle of buying anything from this site. They lied and did not stick to their own policy. I was advertised a 1TB laptop with a fast operating system built for gaming. When it arrived it was scratched and tatty. The system displayed 930GB and it was just slow and buggy. When I called the number on the site I was direct to their email through an automated machine. When I emailed they lied and tried to say the laptop does have 1TB but just displays incorrectly. Complete rubbish, they also refused to honour their 14 day 'no quibbles' returns policy which stated they would collect the laptop for free and provide a replacement or refund, whatever the reason. They instead tried to say I need to send it back to them via recorded delivery which I was to pay for and then provide 10% towards the cost of the laptop as a 'restocking fee'. These people are scam artists and I have reported them to the trading standards. I would encourage everyone affected by them to do the same.
