Don't believe the promises from this company, I've been sadly disappointed turn after turn.

1) The laptop never showed in the mail initially, I had to chase their delivery company myself.
2) Messaged them within 3 months of receiving the laptop and stated the battery isn't up to scratch, I have always needed the charger ready. This was met with a rude response via email.
3) The laptop runs slower than expected.
4) Discovered today the SD card port doesn't work.

I understood the risks of using a company such as this, yet I was still disappointed. I purchased the laptop in June, requested the battery fix/replacement in August - turned down. I only needed a decent laptop for gmail, and it struggles to do that, along with the other issues. The last straw was the rudeness via email from the workers themselves.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY,SCAM!!!! I’ve bought an laptop from them at 259£ plus office 49£ and they has send me an old cheap and damaged laptop with no camera and no scrolling(mouse). i have tried to send it back ,but guess what? No address and when i tried to contact them ,they told me...THIS IS YOUR ORDER. Zero stars. Now i have to call FRAUD ACTION AND FINANCIAL CONDUCT AUTHORITY, losing time and stress to get my money back

Wow! I never read the Trustpilot reviews before I purchased a laptop from the Cheaplaptopcompany so l can count myself lucky that I got a refund! I’m still out of pocket as it cost me £24 to return it! (They insist on returns being sent recorded delivery).

I was really looking forward to my new laptop and eagerly opened the package, but it was a bit like like getting cheese out of the fridge only to find it’s gone mouldy! Disappointment does not cover it. Notice that they never give the age of their laptops on their site? There is a reason for this; I’m not saying that the one I got was old but I have chucked younger ones in the skip! I turned it on and it chugged into life like a pensioner with a zimmerframe, the image was so weak I had to use settings to bring up full brightness. The screen was smeared and the keyboard dirty - the movement of the curser seemed to have no relationship to my finger movement on the pad, but it seemed to have a life of its own - darting around like a demented rabbit!

I also paid an additional amount for an anti virus - it was not provided!

Within the hour I had it packet up ready to return it. Ah! Where do you return it to? Good question, as there is no return address on their site. Phone and ask? Ha! The phone is permanently on answer mode. You have to email to request a return address - which carries the demand for a tracking number. Cost paid by customer!

So, I did get a refund, but the experience has left me feeling stupid and very annoyed. As so many of the reviews here have advised. DO NO BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

The second time in less than 9 months the computer has failed. Awaiting a response from the company will keep you updated

If I could give 0 stars I would! This company is a scam, they're not even registered and are known by several names. My laptop stopped working so I ordered one from cheaplaptopcompany and paid an extra £9 for 3 day delivery, I work from home so needed it very fast. I waited 4 days instead of 3, I emailed them and they replied saying they applogise for the delay and I will have it in 3 more days, I asked for a tracking they said they will send it once ready, I received nothing, I sent email after email with no response and their phone number is bogus. I no longer wanted the laptop but wanted a refund in which I got no response, I finally raised it with Paypal disputes, and informed the company that I will escalate this to Fraud Action and the Financial Conduct Authority, and then received my refund from paypal. They wasted my time and disrupted my work and put me through immense stress, its better to go to the store and get your laptop there. Total scam, please avoid!

Appalling customer service.

Ordered laptop and they sent me an 'upgrade' because my one was out of stock! They didn't ask if I wanted upgrade - they didn't tell me I was getting a different laptop.

The upgraded laptop did not have a webcam so actually for me it was a downgrade which they would know if they had contacted me before dispatching.

When I tried to get a replacement they had NOTHING else in stock suitable. They said I can return it at MY cost for a full refund - I had to push them to get them to pay for return even though it was their fault.

Upon confirmation of receipt to their offices via Royal Mail I had to chase them for refund. Was told it would be 5-7 days. What??? With instant bank transfers they could do same day but choose to hold onto my money.

It is now 8 days and no refund received.

This is a shambolic business and I urge you to steer well clear. Be warned their phone number does not get answered - just a voicemail saying please email.

I order a laptop without reading those bad reviews, I must say I was a little worried. I received the laptop good shape but it did not have CDRW as adverted. I communicated via email, response was polite and offer a free USB CDRW, but I decided to return the laptop for refund. Returned as instructed and received the full refund back after 3 working days.
I have nothing to criticize, only spec of the laptop needed to check before adverting.

As many others have said I would urge you not to buy from this company, sadly I ordered before seeing the reviews!
So after changing my mind and trying to cancel the order, 2 e-mails (1 of which sent just 26mins after the order!) and a phone call to realise you cannot talk to them by phone. Though they give a number on their site it will 100% always go to a message saying to e-mail them. They do not respond to e-mails which was my main gripe, still as of today they have not replied to my e-mails and I had to resort to a PayPal dispute to get my order refunded.

This is a shoddy company and they will do everything they can to take your money and if there are problems forget it, they are happy to send e-mails with extras you can buy for the laptop but won't reply to issues you e-mail them about! I fully agree with people saying buy from a proper company which has a better reputation. If I could give Zero stars I would!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! They don't deserve even one star. I bought a laptop from them and returned it within the 14 day cooling off period, so a full refund should be issued. ~They are trying to charge a 10% restocking fee.. It has been over a week since I returned it, with proof of postage (I have checked and it has been delivered). I have emailed them multiple times and had no reply.

I ordered a laptop which came I was shocked the cover was scratched, no battery in it, also no charger. I e-mailed them and said I am returning it. They sent me a returns slip to send back which I did, I then e-mailed and asked for refund. I was then asked to provide a tracking number which I did, they said it would take 3-5 days to refund. Gone 5 days now. Will I get my money back. Who should I contact.

Update - laptop took a few weeks and some chasing but happy the overall result.

I purchased a desktop PC from them and was not sure what to expect for the money, it arrive within a few day. The keyboard was broken on arrival, i sent an email and photo of the damage and the next day a new keyboard arrived. I've have the PC about a year now and no problem at all, used as a work PC so running 24 hours a day!

Having read the plethora of bad reviews of this company, I thought it only fair to say that my experience has been the opposite. I have bought 3 used laptops from them over a 2 year period, and not had any problems with any of them. They are used, so expecting something that looks brand new is completely unrealistic, and the laptops I received are in a perfectly usable condition, with even the batteries retaining a reasonable charge. I do accept that others' experience has been less than good, though in some cases a bit of research beforehand might have avoided some of the problems. As for customer service, I can't comment as I have never needed it. Perhaps hit and miss, depending on what is ordered, but certainly a hit from my perspective.

Appalling service.
Brilliant prices, however, it was too good to be true. Laptop stopped working entirely within a week and they issued my refund within 3 weeks when they stated to me 4 days. Cannot get through to on the phone either

My experience of this company is excellent. Undoubtedly the company must have had some kind of restructure in recent years. I cant fault it. Very fast delivery. Excellent customer service & I.T. help too. I now own a top range business laptop for £200. The value for money is very good indeed in my opinion. People forget these are reconditioned units. A couple of scuff marks here and there - as you would expect. Very rare I write a review. Credit where credit is due. Thanks - well chuffed.

It was a late night, and my existing Dell Laptop of over 10+ years 'Gave Up The Ghost'! Please be advised, do Not order late at night! Laptop arrived almost immediately, and returned the following day. NO MENTION OF THE 10% HANDLING CHARGE ON THEIR WEBSITE. I checked this again today. So glad I used PayPal & used the Credit Card option with them, as I envisage a less than smooth refund! Could I be wrong? Don't think so following reading these Reviews!!! Watch this space for details of my experience......................................... UPDATE - Surprisingly, no great problem with the Refund.

Terrible customer service nearly a week to reply by email. Never responded to phone. They also go by other names. Mycheaplaptop, bargainlaptopsonline and grabalaptop. When you have that many names I should have known better.

Purchased an Apple Mac from them in Dec 2017. Had a few minor issues with it. One month after the warranty expired a row of keys started not working. Cheap Laptops did not want to know. Apple were helpful and tried to talk me through a couple of re-boots but when this did not work they recommended an independent repairer who confirmed that as the Mac was a 2011 model there was nothing they could do to help. Needless to say I cannot get any response from Cheap Laptops. For the £200 I saved I should have known better - avoid this company at all costs.

Laptop has never really worked.
Tried to claim under warranty and unable to speak to anyone as number only connects to a voicemail saying that they are busy.
No response on email for warranty information.
However if you enquire about a new laptop, they email you straight back!
Once I asked about warranty claim, no more comms...
Dishonest company with employees with zero morals or ethics.
Trading standards now informed.
