WARNING!! ROGUE TRADERS - DON'T TAKE THE BAIT
My (under warranty) laptop didn't work and they rejected to fix it, replace it or give me a refund.
To make a very long story short: I had to go through PayPal who thankfully resolved the dispute on my favor and gave me the refund - I had to cover with the costs of posting the laptop back though.
Save yourself some headaches, time and money (as even if PayPal gives you a refund you still have to pay for the post) and just do not trust these people.
It seems to be a fake company. No wonder why they only accept PayPal! probably they are too dodgy to pass Visa and Mastercard audit requirements.
SIMPLY DO NOT BUY FROM CHEAP LAPTOP COMPANY!!!
BAD BAD BAD experience with this company. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Laptop arrived and was very slow, the battery didn't hold it's charge for longer than 15mins, screen froze, and when typing on Word, the display had a delay. After a few weeks it was unusable and died whilst I was in the middle of writing an assignment. I sent it back for repair, but had to pay £15 for postage. I have since bought a brand new laptop for slightly more than I paid for this second-hand piece of garbage. Even when i get this laptop back, it will sit unused as I do not trust it's reliability. I would NOT buy from this company again. I've wasted £160 on this laptop and regret it, but at least I can warn others before they make the same mistake. I didn't read any reviews before buying, and regret it. If i'd read these reviews, I would have avoided them at all costs. . Some advice - spend a little more and get some piece of mind on a quality product from a trusted supplier who have some customer service skills. I wish i had done so in the first place! Trust me, you'll be glad you stayed away from the CHEAP laptop company. (There's a reason why they are called CHEAP, as the quality of the product reflects the name - cheap and a total waste of money). AVOID AVOID AVOID!
My experience has been mixed
My experience has been mixed. I, initially, ordered a Dell notebook and I'm very pleased with it. On the strength of this, I bought an HP for my son and it's a pile of garbage. Talk about scruffy! It was marked and some of the ports were damaged and there was even what looked like the remains of someone's lunch stuck underneath! I don't believe it's been refurbished or it would not have been sent out in this dreadful state. Only now, as I read all the reviews do I realise who I've been dealing with. Because my son needs the laptop urgently, he will probably have to keep it and hope for the best but I will not be ordering from them in future. It's funny because the reviews on their website are all positive, i.e. 4 and 5 stars so they are not an accurate reflection of their customers' experiences.
NOT GOOD AT ALL
Received my Dell laptop on time, but it's next to useless. It takes about 5 minutes to start up. Battery says fully charged after a while plugged in and then drains within a few minutes. Using the internet causes it to lock up 8 out of 10 times, requiring a reboot. The odd time it can be used for more than a few minutes the underside gets really hot.
I won't be using these guys again and wish i'd done my research beforehand.
I purchased a refurbished Dell Lap Top …
I purchased a refurbished Dell Lap Top which arrived on time and as described. 6 months later the screen went blank - I contacted the company by e mail and received a reply from David saying exactly where to return it to. I sent it back on a Monday and received it back again on the Friday same week - excellent fast response. Not quite sure whether it is the same laptop repaired or a new one - either way I had copied my files and deleted them before returning. Overall very pleased with the service I received

I ordered a laptop it should be delivered 2 weeks ago until now I haven't received a laptop. Now I cannot contact the seller even the landline just goes to voicemail. Fake shop do not buy, thieves.

Give them a miss.
Give them a miss.
Having read the reviews, I was sceptical, I thought I would order a machine, I followed the order up with an email requesting it be made 100% correct, or I would dispute immediately with paypal after I had read a load of bad reviews.
I get an email back from them cancelling the order saying he didn't want to deal with 'passively aggressive' clients. And a refund came right back.
So make your own decision based on that one!
If I could have chosen no stars I would …
If I could have chosen no stars I would - this is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I bought a laptop, it was faulty, I returned it - James Graham/Cheap Laptop Company have not refunded my money - they have the laptop and my money - this happened in June 2017 and it's now November. I have had to contact PayPal, my credit card and finally my solicitor to try to get my money back.
He is the rudest person I have ever dealt with. Once my claim against him is settled I will publish the emails he sent me so people can see what sort of person he is.
If the company has any social media profile I will also be posting a review there.
Don't ever use this company.
False advertising by Solent Laptops.
False advertising by Solent Laptops.
Purchased what was advertised as a refurbished HP EliteBook 8440p. They instead sent a HP Probook 6450b with lower hardware specifications, and an operating system installed in 2009!
The AC adapter was a generic one that would damage the laptop over prolonged usage. They also claim to be authorized by Microsoft which I find highly unlikely given that the Operating System was never reinstalled.
I suspect they are running a very unprofessional service where many customers are conned. They are obviously aware of their misleading adverts and just hope the buyer doesn't notice anything wrong. If the buyer does notice something wrong, staff at Solent just hope the person will go away.
I can't possibly recommend anyone use them.
Steer clear.
I purchased a laptop last Dec from this …
I purchased a laptop last Dec from this company and have had no problems, I love it, it has all I need and is really good quality for the price.
It recently developed a thin line running across the screen, I emailed them and as it was still under warranty, sent it back (cost only £7 postage) and received it back 4 days sooner than they said it would be. All fixed. I am a very happy customer.

My cousin almost purchased a laptop advertised as a "gaming laptop".
That integrated Intel 4400 is NOT for gaming!
I feel bad for parents that have purchased these laptops for their kids as a gift only to later learn it's incapable of running games
Risky.....
I ordered a high spec laptop, it arrived and had no burner , couldn't install my software on it , it was advertised as a laptop , most of us presume a laptop has a burner even though there being phased out but it was a notebook, so i immediately got on to PayPal to open up a case , then contacted cheap laptop and told them id informed PayPal and hopefully things would go smoothly, i managed to get my money back after the headache of it all but my advise is avoid websites starting with the word cheap, and don't buy expensive things online unless its a reputably company.
Avoid Avoid Avoid!
A colleague purchased a laptop from this company and when it arrived was not the model purchased and was in pretty shoddy condition. He paid £13 to return it registered/signed. The company denied having received it even though the tracking number showed it as delivered. Person at the company (Jim) who denied all knowledge of having received it was the person who signed for it!!! Eventually got a refund but this took over 2 weeks and over a dozen text messages/screen shots of delivery etc. Cowboys.
Cheaplaptopcompany & Refurbished Laptops Direct is the same!
This company also trade under Refurbished Laptops Direct. They are FRAUDULENT. James who emails is actually Hafeez Ahmed and the business is registered at: Greengate Business Centre, 2 Greengate Street, Oldham, OL4 1FN. According to their tax return this year, he earns less than £100 and is exempt from tax. Strange because my laptop cost £275 - I say my - it didn't actually get delivered!
I have reported him to Paypal, Trading Standards and the best one; for TAX FRAUD!!
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!

Whatever you do DO NOT BUY ANYTHING …
Whatever you do DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE. They dont give a dam about customer care or what they end up sending to you. As long as they get your money. Dont expect to get what you see, as what they send is another matter. Just go to Argos, PC World or any High St reputable dealer
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS
Dreadful. I ordered a laptop because I'm going into a hospice and needed one to keep me abreast of work. I paid for 3 day delivery. 8 DAYS on....nothing. I contacted them as no word from them at all. I was told there was a delay and it would be delivered yesterday. (Day 8). Nothing. I mailed again....no now it would be Tuesday. I explained going into hospice for terminally ill and had to have it which is why I paid for expediated delivery. They promised refund of post....nothing. It didn't turn up but.no word from company. I have had to chase and chase and was then told next Tues.. ..10 days late. I was offered a cancellation and refund so I could buy one to take in today. Nothing. No word. Today I had message saying don't panic.itll be with you next Monday.. .I'd already taken 2 days unpaid hol to.wait in. I explained im now in hospice won't be here then and refund please. They said I have to return it. I'M IN A HOSPICE!!!! Nobody at home now. I begged for refund...im terminally ill therefore dying and a pensioner deemed severely disabled and vulnerable....they knew all this and couldn't have cared less. They were unhelpful, No sympathy and NO APOLOGY OFFERED IN 8 EMAILS. Disgusting service....no service. No laptop. No communication and NO contact other than me pushing. No resolution. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. SAYING DON'T PANIC TO A DYING PENSIONER IS OUTRAGEOUS.
Laptop
Laptop turned up on time was in mint condition and working perfectly. Absolutely no complaints
DONT BUY FROM THE CHEAPLAPTOPCOMPANY ALSO KNOWN AS GRABALAPTOP.COM, SOLENT LAPTOPS LTD AND REFURBISHEDLAPTOPS DIRECT
I have also been conned by this company. Bought a refurbished laptop which wasn't cheap and so was expecting the odd scratch to the casing, maybe a dent. The laptop turned up and has lots of damage to the screen which is permanently there i.e not a light issue or stuck pixels but damage caused by fingers which has destroyed the screen. Naturally, I expected an exchange or refund but oh no, not from these cowboys! Apparently the damage is 'minor' and so I cant have an exchange and not surprisingly given their conduct, I haven't received any other contact from them. despite sending emails and phoning in. They don't answer their phone or reply to emails.
I'm genuinely shocked that outfits like this still exist and I've had to pay for my mistake, I urge everybody else to not buy from these charlatans. Truly a shoddy, underhanded business.
***update*** finally arranged for a refund and so only out of pocket for the postage. Actually surprised the company did refund my money - at least they did that!
