I booked a flight through cheapOair website from Toronto to Alberta.
A week prior to boarding the flight/plane I got into a accident and was unable to fly.
I called cheapOair customer service representative and got some woman from down in India there somewhere I explained to the woman I would like to cancel my flight since I won't be able to fly.
I had paid for the insurance that covers flight cancellation and three other options. The woman said I cannot cancel the flight because it was just a basic ticket, bare in mind the flight with the extra insurance coverage cost me little over $600.
With that being said my question is if I paid for a basic ticket plus insurance and the insurance do not cover basic ticket then why give the option to purchase the insurance for flight cancellation.
CheapOair is nothing but a big scam and a bunch of liers on the phone

This airline offers great service, fast processing, and very reasonable prices compared to others. The booking process is easy, and the overall travel experience is smooth and comfortable.

When I purchased tickets on 3 different occasions, the price quoted on the website that I paid for did not match what was on my credit card. I called, and no one was able to answer why there was a discrepancy from when I paid for the flights to what was eventually charged to my credit card. Pretty frustrating.

Always quick and easy to book flights. I use this service for most of my trips.

Bai Bina was very Patient (the connection wasn't very good, too much echo). For her patience i give you a 4 star. She repeated the info every time i asked her to. I was very nervous and asked why on the Porter site i didn't have to pay for my suitcase but i had to pay with CheapOair. Her reply was that if i booked my suitcases later on, i would not have to pay. I wanted to make sure i had everything on my computer and didn't want to arrive at the airport without a boarding pass and without a ticket. Apparently my booking confirmation number (?) is what will get me on the plane. Both my husband and i are over 80yrs old and i was very nervous about booking tonight on line. I also tried to book earlier on with Porter and the same flight /same time she gave me to return is the one that Porter said choose another flight. So now i will likely worry for the next month hoping i will have a flight to come back home On July 3rd. She explained to me because i was insisting of making sure i had 2 carry ons and 2 suitcases for the 2 of us, she said i could switch from standard to flexible. that's confusing because Porter had different names, there was no standard . she talked and mentioned that by taking your flexible, i could always change my travel date at a later time if we couldn't go and she explain that i would have to pay the price difference in the flight (if it goes up at a later date.) i mentioned that i would call back , i was too nervous but she mentioned the flights are moving fast and i believed her because i had started to look around 5;30pm and the return price had gone up $300. and by the time i called CheapOair and by the time our flight was settled it was another $200. because she put the suitcases in and gave me the flexible plan. But she tried her best and i'm now keeping my fingers crossed that we will be okay for both our flights to and from Toronto to Victoria.

My original online booking gave me alternate dates however I didn’t notice till after I had booked. It cost me much more to book on the date I wanted.

All steps were completed successfully, however I was dealing with an agent from India. He was very patient with me and did his best to allow me to understand for which I am very appreciative. I am hearing impaired and his accent was getting in the way of fully understanding everything. Otherwise all good.
