An excellent gift turned into an excellent, relaxed and enjoyable night with Richard - some great wines, (some of which, we have already bought), and and great accompanying light bites, plus a good crowd, made for an lovely evening all round. Thanks Richard and you will definitely see us again...

I booked this for my parents wedding anniversary as a treat for them. Richard was a welcoming and informative host whose knowledge of wines and pairings enhanced the experience of the tasting greatly. Both my parents and myself enjoyed the atmosphere and the location and would recommend the Wine School of Cheshire for a lovely evening and/or special event.

A lovely relaxed and informative event. Such a refreshing change to attend an event where no one is trying to sell you anything !!! you're just expected to enjoy the evening and learn a little bit about the wines we love.

We have sampled a few Wine School of Cheshire events over the last year, all combining excellent, interesting and occasionally challenging wines, with superb food and all tied together by our knowledgeable and welcoming host Richard. This was however, our first "Super School", which focussed on France and even allowed us to try our hand at blending our own wines. The food and wine pairing was sublime and the afternoon passed all too quickly.

We would recommend one of these wine schools to anyone with even the slightest interest in wine. A bientot.

Richard creates a friendly and relaxed atmosphere to enjoy delicious wines. His explanations and insight make the day even more enjoyable. It is also excellent value. We have been to two events so far and will definitely be going to others......as soon as we can!

We attended an afternoon of wine and food pairing with The Wine School of Cheshire. It was a really enjoyable afternoon as the atmosphere was laidback but very informative with all questions welcomed. Richard is extremely knowledgeable, charismatic and passionate about wine and the pairings with the food were fantastic. I would thoroughly recommend Richard's wine tastings.

On this occasion Richard was wrong-footed by The Courthouse Hotel who, because they had also booked the Knutsford Beer Festival into the venue on the same evening, chose to locate The Wine School of Cheshire in the Barristers Bar. This is the public restaurant and lacks the intimacy needed for a wine tasting.

Thankfully this is a one-off.

This was our first event with The Wine School of Cheshire and it won't be the last! The fabulous venue really set the scene for a great evening. Richard was a fantastic host! The food and wine pairings were brilliant, coupled with Richard's insights made for an excellent experience. Highly recommend!

The Discover Spain wine tasting evening was superb. Richards wine knowledge is second to none, he chose perfect wines to showcase different wine regions in Spain, introducing us to wines that most people tend to overlook when choosing a Spanish wine. The food pairing was perfect, it’s a great way to discover how wine changes when drinking on its own compared to drinking it accompanied with food. Richard pays such attention to detail to ensure the evening runs smoothly. The venue was wonderful and I have no hesitation in recommending any of the Wine School of Cheshire Events. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

I have attended a few of Richards events and can honestly say that every time I have been blown away not only with his knowledge, but the whole event.
The food, the format, the venue, and YES, the wine is always thoroughly thought through right down to the last detail.
We certainly will be back there is no other events to match this standard, and can highly recommend The Wine School of Cheshire events.

I've been to a number of Richards wine tasting events and he never fails to make the evening special. Not only did we have a thoroughly enjoyable evening learning and tasting wines, Richard even thought to link the fact that we're cross border i.e. West Cheshire & North Wales Chamber of Commerce into the event and focussed on English and Welsh wine. We had no idea the quality of wine that's available from English and Welsh producers. Thanks Richard, you're a star!

What a fabulous company I bought two tickets for my parents birthday presents, and i made an error when booking them, I rang them worried about this, and Richard was so helpful and amended my error very quickly and sent me a gift pack for the tickets in the post which I revived the next day. Great customer service and I am sure my parents will love their wine day experience too

Festive Fizz evening with lovely treatment from Molton Brown. Richard chose some great fizz and food matched perfectly! Look forward to my next event in two weeks! Richard works hard to ensure everyone attending is looked after and I always learn something new due to his extensive knowledge! Another fab night!

Our first experience and visit using The Wine School of Cheshire which was a Saturday afternoon sampling the wines and delights of Italy delivered in the stunning surroundings of 1539 at the Racecourse, Chester. To sum it up....quite simple really....it was bloody marvellous! Great food, wine and company throughout the afternoon...what more do you need? See you again and thanks.
