The whole process from ordering online, communications and collection was first class - we have 3 lovely little Wyandotte Bantams, you can see they are so healthy and have been really well cared for.
This has got to be the way to buy hens in the future - so much easier for buyers and breeders. I would certainly do this again and would recommend it to anyone else without hesitation

This is the third time I have used Chickenstoyourdoor and each time I have been very impressed with both the chicken and customer care. The little 'care packages' that come with the birds are lovely and the one time I had to be late picking them up due to work they were really helpful and reassuring. The chickens I have had each time have been healthy and happy and have integrated well with my existing hens after a time of separation for quarantine etc.

From the moment I took the decision to keep hens, I knew I would be buying them from CTYD, who are absolutely fantastic. They patiently spent well over an hour on the phone to me advising on both the different varieties and on the basics of chicken keeping before I had even taken the decision to definitely keep them and to place an order. As a first time chicken keeper, they could not have been more supportive with advice throughout the whole process and I now have a beautiful and extremely friendly group of chickens that delight everyone who meets them. I honestly cannot recommend them more highly for the quality and friendliness of their birds as well as the advice and experience they happily and patiently pass on.

Good nd trust worthy

I have used CTYD several times now. Always great birds, they arrive unstressed and healthy and after a bit of settling in, get on well with the rest of our small garden flock. So much choice of birds too!

I reserved my hens back in August and collected them from my local collection point in September.
The chickens arrived immaculate and in very good health. A little apprehensive at first but within a week feeding from my hand and within three weeks I have one that likes to be picked up (she squats when I go near her) and one that sits on my shoulder. You can tell that they have been lovingly and carefully reared with lots of human contact. No health issues at all. No eggs yet, but their combs are changing so it won’t be long - for me that’s confirmation of the POL age.
Communication was excellent. I’ve also asked a couple of questions post collection and have received timely and useful advice.
All in all, an excellent service. I wouldn’t hesitate to use again.

I found this service excellent. I went to the website and then asked some questions via a text message. The reply was the next working day and was very helpful. I purchased two light Sussex hens and they gave a delivery date estimate. I picked a local chicken sales establishment local to me. The delivery date was improved on nearer the time. With emails telling me all I needed to know. I went to pick up the chickens they were in good health and boxed, with instructions of how to treat them over the coming weeks. Including how to introduce them to our existing flock.
With follow up emails to make sure all is well. First class many thanks.
