I purchased a pair of sunglasses at Cloos.

I purchased a pair of sunglasses in May. Unfortunately they did not fit. I contacted customer service. They provided me with a return label. I shipped the sunglasses back in June. I followed up in July. The glasses were received back. I should have the refund shortly. Then when I followed up I was told that Cloos system had been hacked and I should have my refund soon.

Here we are five months later and 36 emails and no refund. They even asked for my Paypal account. I was told the refund would be in my Paypal account no later than 12/8/2022. Well as of today 12/21/2022 I still have not received it. Cloos just keeps telling me that they are working on it.

This is getting old....

Luxreaders ApS purchased the assets of Cloos ApS in January 2023 (the Danish entity behind Christopher Cloos' activities in Europe, which filed for bankruptcy in December 2022). The Danish trustee does not manage the US operations (Cloos Incorporated Inc.) and claims relating to the US platform/webshop cannot be filed with the Danish trustee.

We are currently working on an overview of the situation and will contact customers who have open orders in the system.

We apologize for the inconvenience once again. We are working hard to provide clarity as soon as possible and find the best possible solution as the new owners of Christopher Cloos.

Be careful - no shipment/no answer

I wonder if the company is closing. My payment was drawn December 6 and no action since.
I have asked for tracking - cancellation of order - just a comment on my order. Each time the same auto reply.
When I call, the phone isn’t answered.
Be careful!!

Ordered sunglasses in June no delivery 5 months later

Ordered sunglasses in June. I was charged full price and have received the glasses. The company has told me twice that they will expedite my order. I finally gave up and requested a refund. So far after three weeks, I have not received a refund.

SOS_The company just steals your money.
I just want to make sure that no more people lose their money. After 5 months that they have been lying to me about my order, they accepted to refund me, they even sent me a refund confirmation .... hahaha My bank assured me it is not real and that the refund was not procesed. Had to cancel my credit card.
PLEASE DONT BUY FROM THEM, THEY WON'T DELIVER.

This company steals your money

This company steals your money, they do not deliver the products. Now 5 months later they finally accepted to refund me for the pair of glasses that were never sent, BUT THEY WERE LYING, THEY ALSO SENT ME A REFUND CONFIRMATION BUT MY BANK ASSURED ME THAT NO REFUND WAS PROCESED.
PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THEM.

N0 good mother f**kers…

This company can go bankrupt and do the world a favor. They lie to you and use deceptive business practices. I have been waiting for a $19 refund for 4 months as well as replacement glasses that were defective. I keep getting the run around. They are no good mother f’ers. Don’t ever buy any of their products. They don’t honor their promises. They are all pieces of s**t that work for this company. They can all go f*** themselves.

Love my Cloos x Brady Grey Tonic…

Love my Cloos x Brady Grey Tonic sunglasses, consistently get compliments too. Customer service was extremely responsive and accommodating to my questions when I initially ordered them as I needed prescription. Also, after I recently got Lasik surgery they shipped me new non-prescription lenses for free! Can’t recommend Cloos enough.

Do not buy from this company

Ordered a pair of sunglasses from this company, returned them over 2 months ago, and still no update on my refund. I have contacted customer service a handful of times, only to be consistently given excuses about why they haven't been able to process it.

Direct quote from company

"Due to a change in software provider, experienced a large systems malfunction causing the payment system to be without functionality. Essentially, the implementation led to a 'scramble' between the front and back end, meaning that the system is not running before the issue is manually resolved. Our tech team and an external team of experts are currently involved in solving the issue to establish full functionality again. We expected this to be resolved within a few days, but this is taking longer than expected, hence the delay with your refund."

This was the first excuse and there have been multiple since. Completely unacceptable.

Quick Replacement

Quickly replaced a broken frame free of charge after I lost a screw. Just needed the original order. Didn't have that so they were able to address lookup the order and had no problem with that. Everything went super smoothly.

I ordered three sun glasses and they…

I ordered three sun glasses and they looked good but came too late. I did sent them back in September and they arrived in Kopemhagen. Since then I am waiting for the refund. Initially the return to my credit card apparently did not work, they asked me to set up a PayPal account. But also with solution, I am waiting for the money since 1 month. NEVER AGAIN!
