A really lovely train ride
A really lovely train ride , a delicious 3 course meal. The food was delicious & hot and served by friendly staff
The mid week lunch train ride is well worth trying
We were even allowed on the front of the steam engine and the driver explained how things worked 🚂

Something different and really enjoyable
Lovely friendly staff and great experience.
Our 3 course meal was delicious, chosen on booking the trip.
The change in route due to circumstances did not put us off - we were determined to enjoy ourselves and we did so.
We would do it again.

Very well organised and welcoming when…
Very well organised and welcoming when we got there with free parking
We choose the spud night which was a bit dry and sadly partner had to return his food as milk was spilt on it but was changed with no hassle
Loved the steam train and announced stations
Also hot drinks snacks available with staff bringing a trolley very friendly staff
Loved the countryside the smell of the steam and the hooter

Hi we arrived 50 mins early then had to…
Hi we arrived 50 mins early then had to wait and hour in a queue for chips. This delayed the train and we sat next a people who had paid -£25 but had spuds.
I am not sure if fish and chips is worth £25 more, they had the same experience as us but we paid a lot more , had different food.
We were informed on the day of the change of journey but were not offered a refund or change of date.
I have got to say the staff / volunteers were wonderful , very knowledgeable and friendly !

We appreciate your comments regarding the queue for the fish and chips and apologise for the delay before boarding. We understand this was frustrating.
We're also sorry that the amended route was disappointing. Due to operational reasons, we had to change the route rather than cancel the service, and we appreciate that this affected your visit.
With regard to the ticket prices, we're not entirely sure where the £25 figure for the jacket potato service came from. As you would expect, a freshly prepared fish and chips meal is naturally more expensive than a jacket potato option, and our ticket prices reflect the different catering experiences offered.
It's wonderful to hear your kind comments about our staff and volunteers. They work incredibly hard to provide a welcoming experience, and we'll be sure to pass on your thanks.

Lovely carriage
Lovely carriage, reminded me of the good old days when I used the trains a lot. Very nostalgic and the Breakfast was good and served well. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful throughout the whole time. We had a lovely time thank you to everyone involved.

lovely day
We had a lovely day for my husband’s birthday . There was plenty of parking & the entry was well organised. Staff were around to tell you where to go . Carriages were comfortable & Breakfast was lovely , plenty of drinks .
