Gone are the days when you had experienced shop keepers that would check the fit and size a shoe for you. They just give your the shoe and disappear. Then come back and ask if you’re buying them.

Brilliant service at Clarks Nottingham
I needed some smart shoes for a conference. I visited Clarks in Nottingham on a VERY busy Saturday. I cannot thank enough Katie (I think) who had a lot of patience. I hadn't had my feet measured for nearly 40+ years and I instantly remembered the Clarks shop in Lichfield where I used to go as a lad with my parents.
