If I could give minus stars I would

If I could give minus stars I would. Went to Newcastle, thought I had to pay for my car, this was top Google result and I stupidly paid a fee of £28! I did not need to pay. This was a scam. Contacted my bank who told me my payment had just gone to computer software and I have to raise a claim to get it back. Google should be cracking down on these scam websites! Not have them at the top of the search results.. TOTAL SCAM!!

Scam website. Using the vehicle registration checker it advised a charge was due of £14. I became suspicious when other sites advised that the charge was £8. After checking on the official Gov.uk website my car is exempt!

This is a scam website

This is a scam website. When you put your number plate in it will say you need to pay when you don’t. They also charge a £5 admin fee on top of the charge. I made the mistake of using them and tried to send them a message via the contact is section, however it always says error. When you click on the terms and conditions at the bottom, there is an email address and wording saying they will refund you within 3 days of you contact them. I did this and received an email from them that I would be refunded in 5-10days. I will wait to see if it happens. This is an option if you have been scammed like me. I’ve also reported it to my credit card company and fraud websites. It’s just annoying that it pops up as one of the first pages on google searches.

I have a Smart car and just had Mot done. On the mot certificate it says zero emissions, but still have to pay to drive in clean air zone. My brother has a Range rover which has 283 emissions and pays nothing to drive in the clean air zone. Make it make sense!

Scam and thieves.

Avoid at at cost.

Use Gov site - this allows you to check if you need to pay. The Clean Air Zones just take your money.

Poor poor excuse of people. It actually disgusts me.

Scam website

Scam website! Came up first on my google search. Put in registration and paid £16 to drive in Birmingham for birthday party. Only realised scammed when querying with other guests why my car wasn’t exempt. Checked gov.uK and it was exempt. So handed over card details via a company called Nochex address (paid via Applepay) and email to scammers. Just cancelled debit card. Argh.

Scam website - DOUBLE check before you pay anything

Like all on here, I also got sucked into this website scam whilst visiting Birmingham. Birmingham City Council have given me the chance to prove payment via an invoice or receipt which clearly I cannot and the spam website has no 'contact us' or telephone number to even try to get hold of anyone. I see some advise payment was via Nochex who merely do the transaction, my bank statement shows payment to CLEANAIR so unfortunately I feel I am stuffed either way as I now have 2 PCN's to pay all due to me rushing to make payment due to my ignorance of how a clean air zone actually works and to the true cost of this via the correct channels.
The website has been reported to the National Cyber Security Centre but guess the website wont be taken down as they have bigger fish to fry.
So not only are we scammed by the fake website but we also suffer a huge loss of money for 2 x £120 fines from the BCC

Scam
Received a receipt for £42 but when I asked for detailed confirmation for my records I just kept receiving `New Ticket` and `We have received your email and it has been assigned to a service ticket.
Your ticket will be reviewed and assigned to the next available team member`
How do these people get away with this ?
Someone please make them accountable for these crimes !!!!!!
