Paid a clean air zone charge to this…
Paid a clean air zone charge to this website in December and have just been through the PCN experience.
There are two victims in all this. Birmingham City Council who have not received the charge and obviously me who foolishly paid more than the charge to what turns about to be a fraudulent website.
I would have expected Birmingham City Council to have taken a more conciliatory approach seeing that there was a genuine attempt to pay and perhaps asking for the £8 fee and perhaps an admin charge. Especially as this was a first offence.
As I appealed the PCN, because I genuinely thought I had paid it, I am now faced with £120 fine for just being foolish.
Website is a scam
Website is a scam. Nicholas James Martin Stuart Lewis David, I will come for my money also compensation
Ive just received a fine from Bath…
Ive just received a fine from Bath council for an unpaid CAZ charge , I paid the charge or so I thought I had through cleanairzones. THIS WEBSITE IS A FRAUD . Disgusting ! I cannot believe it is still online and coming up in the search engine. How dare people scam others and cost them more expenses.
Avoid this website !!!
Just received a ticket for Birmingham.. My wife paid the clean air zone tax through this f..ng site. Don't understand why they allow this website to even be there in top 5 when searching to pay the tax. I will try to dispute it.
Just to clarify the issue with NOCHEX.
Just to clarify the issue with NOCHEX.
They are in many ways equally guilty here as they are aware of the website and what it is used for. I know because I both spoke to them in person and e-mailed the directors. Their choice to continue supporting this scam is just that, a choice. Given they have positively chosen to continue payment services to a business that, let’s be honest is a sham, I feel it’s the only legitimate way that people who are found innocently taken in by this scam can effectively make it stop. If NOCHEX and other payment providers walk away their business model fails
This is a scam website
This is a scam website, with an inaccurate vehicle checker, intercepting payments intended for the government clean air zones even when vehicles are not required to pay
Luckily I didn't pay, Total scam!
Luckily I didn't pay, but it did make me drive around the long way round!.. £14 for using my car.. Don't believe.. please us the gov.uk website. They do say they aren't part of the gov.uk.. so what are you actually paying for? If you've paid and been charged, email these guys the bill!!!
DON'T USE SCAM
I paid for Bristol Clean air zone charge via this site. £14 which included a transaction fee via Notchez. I have just received a penalty charge from the Gov website saying the payment wasn't made and I now owe £69.
This website is a SCAM and only pay via the gov.uk website.
I have appealed to the Gov re the penalty
SCAM SITE!! AVOID!
SCAM SITE!!! AVOID!!!
They charge you a fee even if your car does not need to pay!
Only use the official .gov website
SCAM SITE
SCAM SITE. Checked website which advised I was liable for a £14 charge for travelling through Bath's clean air zone. I made payment online. Sadly I should have looked into it more closely.
Using the gov.uk & Bath council websites, I can now see that I am in fact not liable for any charge.
The site uses Nochex.com for payment processing. Looking at their Trustpilot page, I see a lot of people misdirecting their anger at them in relation to this scam/fraud. As far as I can see, Nochex are simply the agent the scammers use to facilitate the processing of payments.
I have reported Cleanairzones.online to the ActionFraud website.
