SCAM SITE

SCAM SITE. Checked website which advised I was liable for a £14 charge for travelling through Bath's clean air zone. I made payment online. Sadly I should have looked into it more closely.

Using the gov.uk & Bath council websites, I can now see that I am in fact not liable for any charge.

The site uses Nochex.com for payment processing. Looking at their Trustpilot page, I see a lot of people misdirecting their anger at them in relation to this scam/fraud. As far as I can see, Nochex are simply the agent the scammers use to facilitate the processing of payments.

I have reported Cleanairzones.online to the ActionFraud website

Scam site

Scam site. Do not use. Go on Bath and North East Somerset official site and check their details. Cars and motorbikes are not charged in Bath’s CAZ, regardless of the emissions they produce. However, commercial vehicles such as taxis and private hire vehicles will have to. Obviously sponsored site to come top when you search the Bath CAZ so Google getting money off the b*st*rds.

Having been scammed by this site it is…

Having been scammed by this site it is worth mentioning that as Google has been aware of this scam for some time, Google could now liable for any penalties or charges, as under EU law it states that the
in European Union, Directive 2000/31/EC on eCommerce provides intermediary liability protections for platforms like Google, meaning they are generally not liable for illegal content posted by users unless they have actual knowledge of it and fail to act. So the latter sentence is key. Google does have knowledge and has failed to act.

This is a scam

This is a scam. No requirement to pay and took £14 charge. Should have checked on Gov site first. The Gov should stop such sites from operating.

Someone told me about the clean air…

Someone told me about the clean air zone. Even though I have an electric car (which is exempt from any charge) I laughed when I entered my reg number and it said I would need to pay £16. First the charge is £8 per day, and secondly, I'm driving electric.
100% scam obviously

Scam site

Scam site. Check your vehicle first with a gov.uk site. Mine was exempt, but cleanairzone would charge me £14. They also came up first on a Google search

Absolute scam.

Absolute scam.
Comes up first when searching if we have been in a clear air zone area, which is a fake website and not the real website. Unfortunately I fell for it and paid £14 which my car was actually exempt.
