The radiators are lovely and been a god send but two now don’t work and I can not get through to them on phone or email. I’m still paying for these and need help

Central heating at last!
We have never had central heating in our all electric cottage so when the engineers came we were very excited. The 2 lads were very polite and worked very quickly and cleanly, taking all packaging back with them. However, as my husband and I are 80+ the explanations regarding the app was a bit quick - we are not very tech-minded. However, I got my daughter, who lives in Tenerife sorted us out for the first week, and I now feel more confident using the app.

Just had 3 heaters fitted
Just had 3 heaters fitted , they look great. Richard the fitter arrived on time used dust sheets where he worked. Installed my heaters and took time to show me how to use the controls. The phone app is very user friendly. All good so far.
Do not buy these electric radiators
Do not buy these electric radiators. My mums have never worked properly. Radiator in living room burnt out in a matter of months. One fell off the wall within a week. Cost 3 times more than any other heating systems. The thermostats are battery operated and only last 2 weeks. The people who fitted the radiators were unprofessional and wanted to rush the job because one wanted to go and play golf and the other wanted to watch football. They left all the thermostats in boxes on a chair and didn’t show my 76 year old mother how to operate. When I asked the company to come out to fix everything they tried to charge £150 call out! Which I refused to pay. They look nice but don’t work and cost a fortune in electric. My mum has now died and there is only one radiator in the house working and nothing else is on in the house and it’s costing £400 a month for one radiator.

Don't buy this system if you want remote access and control
I could almost have copied the review posted on 9th January. The radiators and local controllers work fine, but I'm not convinced they are great value for money. The local controllers user interface is archaic and really awkward to use. The company have been helpful, except in relation to the Harmony control app (Android). If you want a system that you can control easily, then you need to look elsewhere. The app continually loses connection to the radiators and the only way to reinstate it is by a really clunky process that requires you to be local to the home. The only response I could get from Climastar UK was that the wifi signal was weak and caused loss of connection. This is either complete tosh, or a tragic flaw in the system. The connection between app and radiator has to be maintained during loss of internet connection. The router and the internet don't have any memory of the connection, it's all held by the radiator and the app. What happens if there is a power outage? I couldn't get any reply out of Climastar Spain when I tried to contact the email address embedded in the app. The previous UK MD who sold us the system is no longer with them I believe. I don't see any evidence that this company or product is going anywhere.

Great marketing but exceedingly poor product
On 23 October 2024 I replaced my 30 year plus storage heaters with Climastar electric radiators and oh how do I regret that day. My home used to be warm & comfortable virtually all day with only the occasional top up heating required. Instead I’ve purchased what in my opinion are very expensive convection heaters where heat just rises, never “warms” the room and as soon as they go off heat dissipates quickly and room is cold. The brochure extols the virtues of the magma stone and displays these amazing 21st century heaters however to me these are very simplistic convection heaters, mounted on a basic unattractive metal bar.
I accept my heating bills are double because I’m still on Economy 7 while I wait for a smart meter but I am using more units trying to heat my home not less. Then there’s the app! I was actually “told off” for changing the programmes! I think anyone coming from storage heaters with very limited settings would need to play around with the programmes to find optimum heating levels. The app is very unstable – sometimes changing a programme seems to set off a period of instability but at other times it’s just random. The heating goes on when it is not programmed to, changes from auto to manual and also changes temperature settings. Whilst on holiday in Rome at Christmas I was shocked to see heaters on when they were not scheduled to be on and also the consumption graph showing heaters had been on all day whilst I was away and not as programmed. This is so unstable I just do not feel safe to use them long term. I will be raising all my concerns with Climastar to resolve these issues.
I ask you to also read Shad Williams review dated 24 Nov 2024 – I agree totally with his comments so beware of great marketing on an exceedingly poor product. Really don’t understand those positive reviews. I’ve just rechecked Trustpilot today and there’s a run of poor reviews that reflect what I am also experiencing.

Let down by poor software ( very)…
I have had 5 rads for over a year and whilst Oliver’s tried to sort out the issues the experience continues to be bad.
I don’t think the rads are particularly bad, it’s the app and wireless part which is so unreliable it means I have to turn all 5 on and off manually. ( ones been offline in the spare room for a year And 2 are currently offline) then they sometimes switch on by magic.
I’m sure they are cost effective but when one in a room turns on without warning and is on for days it’s costly.
I can switch one on via the app and it turns on but a minute or so later it goes off again.
I’ve been sent replacement room thermostats which do have better switching but it’s the WiFi programme build which is poor and basically doesn’t work.
If I programme each one individually it either reverts to the factory one or something wildly incorrect.
In conclusion the rads are good and look nice, the supports tried hard but the system isn’t fit for purpose. I’m told it’s only me having these issues but it can’t be. I’m tech savvy and can tell it’s a software issue so many must have the same issue. If they don’t then why not come out and sort the horrible problem.?I’m happy to try over the phone but I know that we both know it’s not going to solve the problem.
I’ve been very patient but enough is enough. I paid a lot of money for the system and it’s a constant stress builder in my life which it shouldn’t be. Either fix it or out wet rads back in.

This company is a joke
This company is a joke. I’ve had the heating system in for approx. 12 months. Have had three thermostats replaced out of five. Have had two radiators stop working and needing an engineers attention. I am at present without heat in my bathroom. I was told today that a service engineer will call when they are next in my area. They couldn’t care less if temperatures are below freezing on a regular basis or if we are experiencing a national heatwave. I regret having the system put in 100%.

Radiators disconnecting from the app every other day!
The heaters work fine but they should for what they cost. The app however is a different matter! I paid almost £10,000 for 5 radiators and within a month 4 of them had dropped off the app. I rang for assistance as was worried about disconnecting them from the WiFi and having no heating over winter. The young lady I spoke to was polite but not too confident in her advice on how to reload the radiators back onto the app. After trial and error I managed to reload all four, but the day after one had disconnected again! Am I going to have to reconnect them every other day?
Thank you for your reply but the young lady I spoke to advised me to delete and reload the rooms that were showing as offline. I just did what she advised. I have checked the app and another heater is now showing as offline. I waited a few seconds and nothing has changed. How do I refresh the app?

Poor customer service, expensive to install and run but it certainly keeps flat warm.
Great service from salesman but it went downhill after that. Engineers installed heating but didn't set up clock properly ( it was permanently stuck at midday) so heating didn't work. System is horribly complex and technical. It took multiple phone calls to customer services as they didn't want to send out an engineer. We had to fix it ourselves via phone instructions. Heating finally works and gives out good heat. It is unquestionably an effective system if very expensive but the customer service is seriously lacking. The first electricity bill was also alarmingly high, despite assurances that bills would go down. I had this installed in my elderly mother's flat as she is always cold and was hoping to install the same system in my large, listed, draughty farm house. After our experience with Climastar, I will be looking elsewhere. A disappointing experience, especially given the cost of installation.

Ash a great ambassador for the company
I was visited by Ash today to take me through the options to replace two radiators with Climastar technology. Ash was very knowledgeable about the product he was suggesting and I found him to be professional and personable.
I have told Ash he will have my decision by the end of the week.
However I've been reading the reviews posted on here and some are quite worrying which are giving me second thoughts. I will sleep on it.

Climastar provided a modern, hi-tech, energy efficient solution to heating our studio flat. We replaced an ancient storage heater with a new radiator from Climastars " Harmony" range. The service provided from consultation through to final installation was efficient, friendly & very professional. The system supplied is very up to date & yet user friendly.

I recently had the heating system installed by Climastar UK, and overall, I am quite satisfied with the experience. The installation process was smooth, and the new system has significantly improved the heating efficiency in my home, particularly in challenging areas like high-ceiled Georgian rooms. The team was professional and handled the installation well. The product itself seems to be energy-efficient, as I've noticed a reduction in energy usage. However, I encountered a slight issue with the removal of an old water tank, which was not taken away by the engineers. Additionally, I had some trouble with the thermostat and app integration, which took a bit longer to resolve. Despite minor hiccups, the overall service and product quality are commendable, and I would recommend Climastar UK with a four-star rating.

An app.was arranged at quick notice by this company. The day of the visit we had a call from Steve more or less saying as it was only one radiator for a garden room didn't want to bother visiting .We live in Falmouth and upon asking where he was we were told Chacewater which is 10 miles away .
We were quoted a price of at the top of his head £ 1800 which we thought extortionate.
We told him out of our price range .
If any one phones from the office tell them that he loved his cup of tea with sugar and we more or less had to throw him out ( his words) Totally dishonorable and if they employ people like this deserve to go out of business. An idiot wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.

If you are considering Climastar here…
If you are considering Climastar here is an update now we have our radiators for over a year and now the cold weather has returned. Very happy. Would have given 5 stars except for thermostats. Subtle difference between the 2 we have, annoying loss of settings when changing batteries ie date, time and wireless connection. Be excellent if these items could be addressed. I note in the reply it states that an upcoming software update may cure this. Sadly it does not say when or if this update is automatically carried out. Time will tell.

I've waited a good few weeks now, just in case, but we are totally delighted with our Climastar experience. From the initial enquiry, through to quotation and fitting, everything has been really positive - happened exactly when they said it would be and with helpful, professional and friendly staff. We live in a flat with no gas, so have always had storage heating and an immersion for hot water. We went for a full upgrade to replacing all our radiators and the bathroom towel rail with Climastar radiators, and the installation of an electric boiler. We are already seeing huge savings on our energy bill due to the thermostatic controls, the heat is perfect, the ambient temperature is lovely rather than full on or too cold as we used to experience with the storage heaters. And who knew you could get an electric boiler? Truly life-changing as we now have a high pressure, HOT supply at all times. It also blows my mind that there are no ongoing maintenance costs. Yes, it was expensive, but the space we have gained with smaller radiators, and the removal of our water and immersion tanks, the aesthetic and the convenience is well worth it.

APPALLING!
For the love of Jehovah - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!
My father in law needed a new boiler and contacted this firm. One of their engineers arrived the next day and recommended an electric one. The sales pitch was somewhat aggressive and forceful. My father in law is 89 and felt extremely intimidated.
The engineer that came round was overly expressive with his hands as he conducted his forceful sales tactics which led to the family dog jumping at him as he perceived him as a threat. The engineer then SLAPPED milo across the face. I have never been more appalled and shocked in all my life! My wife was in the kitchen at the time, came into the living room and told the man to leave and never bloody come back! Do not use this company!!!
