Very happy with my experience
Very happy with my experience with Clove. My phone was only a few months old and therefore in excellent condition so I can't comment on the people on here moaning that they didn't get the valuation they wanted but I was offered easily the best price for my Pixel 8 Pro, received the posting pack the next day and was paid the full amount within hours of Clove receiving it. Excellent service - thanks!

Massive devaluation given
Usually use mazuma, music magpie, etc to sell my stuff but came across clove via search results. With a offer of £149 for my Samsung s21 thought that was a decent offer. Phone sent and with an email follow up to say received and being inspected. Within 5 minutes the offer had revalued to £60 and told the condition was fair. This was a massive devaluation which I believe was an attempt to get my phone for well under what it was worth. Now I didn't claim it to be pristine it was certainly in the good category. After refusing the offer phone was returned and stuck to mazuma where I was paid £105 for the phone as per the good condition it was in. Definitely will not use clove again. Stay clear.

We understand your frustration with the revaluation you received, however, we dispute the claim that this was in an attempt to get your phone under its original valuation. Our grading is outlined on our site as well as compare and recycle, your phone was outside of these guidelines so we sent a revaluation based on our offer for the same spec device in the correct condition.

What a great recycling company
What a great recycling company, posted Monday by special delivery, safest and quickest sending method, had email Tuesday to say they had received, another email saying device had been tested paid after 5.30 so from sending to receiving full payment in 24 hours, highly recommended will be using again when I upgrade my phone

Con , got quoted for a phone , then value halved one they recieved. Music magpie gave similar quote and paid that quote - never use again.
Update after response from Clove - there was no heavy scratching on the phone whatsoever, a couple of light marks - my review stands and is my opinion.

Our testers deemed this significant enough to consider "Grade C" or "Fair Condition" per our condition guidelines outlined on our website. Nevertheless, we are happy to hear you recycled your device elswhere.
We understand that some customers may feel their device is better than we grade it, but to claim we are a "Con Site" is unjustified. Per our terms, any customer who rejects an offer will have their device returned free of charge. As we never took any payment from you and we paid for the delivery/return of your device, we cannot see how this makes us a "Con."

Devalued my phone from £405 to £170
Devalued my phone from £405 to £170! The phone is a year old and in great condition - did not claim to be perfect but certainly above the threshold required for payment. I sent them photos to prove but they weren’t interested but I get the same stock answer as the other negative reviews ‘numerous scratches’ Very disappointed and a great way to dampen the Christmas spirit and the below reply is equally nonsense. £170 for an iPhone 13 Pro Max! Avoid at all costs - will find a way to publish the images of the ‘severe’ damage so you can see the con this is.

As explained over email, our testing team found several deep scratches in the right-centre area of the display including one deep scratch that can be easily identified when the display is turned on. This is classified under our grading guidelines which are displayed when you place an order as “severe” damage.
We did see the photos you provided but due to the display being turned on and the shallow angle the photo is taken at it is hard to identify any potential damage. Nevertheless, these images are irrelevant as our grading is based on the current condition of the device.
We understand you may be frustrated by the large drop in price, but we believe £170 to be a fair offer for a phone of this model & condition. We have already sent the device for return, and it should hopefully be back with you within the next few days.

Order cancelled out of the blue
Started the process of selling an iPhone, only to get an email telling me the order was cancelled as they had made a pricing error. Even though they guarantee the price for 14 days it seems like this is pointless, as they can just cancel the order and force you to place a new one.
