I Feel ripped off

I Feel ripped off, loop holes are used to not pay you your cash. I used the coin star at Asda Nuneaton and forgot to use the voucher at the checkout that day. While presenting the voucher on my next trip, to my amazement was told that the voucher was out of date and could not be used, what a RIP OFF. There is nothing on the machine stating that vouchers need to be exchanged on the day of receipt, and on the receipt itself the wording is very misleading, it does not state that vouchers MUST be exchanged today, it simply says exchange this receipt today without the urgency of the word MUST. This in my opinion is misleading. There must be thousands of people that have lost their money over this, SHAMEFUL.
I know that Coinstar UK will have the last word on this review but what I will say is, do the right thing, warnings on the machine, warnings on receipts and refund those you know who have lost.

I absolutely love them

I absolutely love them, brilliant invention! I hate being at the till having to hand the poor cashier loads of coins! We fill our jar and use the machine every 2 months. Yesterday we got just over £53.00 but we've put £200.00 too.

Counted all the Money in Our jar before…

Counted all the Money in Our jar before taking it to our local asda in belvedere. Total was £129.25!
Once Money was counted in the coinstar machine it said there was £122 😡, then take off the charges and all I got back was £109.28.
Absolute rip off. Trading standards or whoever deals with this need to do something. We save our loose change to help for Christmas, it's hard enough as it is without being swindled by crooks like coinstar 😡😡😡😡

Absolute rubbery!

Absolute rubbery!
1) Taking 12% of your money.
2) The voucher is valid just for the same day.
3) The voucher is valid just in the same store as the machine located.
4) The voucher printer is poor quality so once the date is not clear the store won't accept it.
5) The machine is always located after cashier so you access to them after your shopping is done for the day so you will come the other day while you have no idea that your voucher is expired.

Congratulations! You are just officially rubbed!

I took almost $100 of my little daughters money jar to there to give her the power of buying something good for herself. Thanks to Coinstar my daughter hope for 6 months of saving coins just smoked away.

What an absolute load of rubbish. I used the coinstar machine in my local Morris ons and it took my money but nothing came up on screen. Im absolutely fuming as I have health conditions and it was my last bit of money to feed my cat. They said they couldn't do anything about it in store so I rang coinstar and they told me I would receive a cheque in the post within the next 2 weeks after spending ove 30 mins on the phone they hung up on me I know its only £10 but when it's your last then it's allot..... Don't use they are a con and will rip you off also contacting trading standards and taking the matter further.

Put well over £100 in change in to a…

Put well over £100 in change in to a machine today in my local Morrisons. Then machine only counted around half of my coins. It was the first time I'd ever used one and never will again! Half way through pouring my coins in I thought I'll stop and check it counts correctly. It was counting around 30p to every £1 😠
I showed a staff member so I had proof, she witnessed me put around £5 in and it didn't even register a single penny! I assumed I'd then be able to get my money back as I'd proved it wasn't working. But no! I had to ring coinstar from the store. I was on the phone for around 40min only to be told that once the machine is audited I may be sent a cheque. But ive only someone's word that it will be audited and that it'll be audited correctly. Hopefully they don't use another coinstar machine to count it!

Do NOT use their machines or you’re being robbed

The machine we’ve used is on your way out of Tesco. You put your money in and then are informed by machine it will take 10%. Ok not great they don’t tell you before but too late now. So put your change in and get a voucher back out. And continue walking OUT of Tesco as this machine is on the EXIT. Come back to Tesco on your next shop ready to use your voucher. DO NOT BOTHER. On the small print is that you must use the voucher on the SAME DAY at the SAME STORE or it is unredeemable. So how much money this company has stolen off people is unknown but probably quite a lot considering how sneaky they have been by putting the fundamental terms of use in small and placing the machine on an exit so people would use it AFTER shopping rather than BEFORE. Disgusting company.
