Happy Customer

This was the only site that I could find that suited my requirements, reasonably priced and delivery on time, as a plumbing and heating engineer I would recommend this site to my customers.

Great!

I dealt with Steve for ordering 27 column radiators.

He was extremely courteous and efficient. My delivery arrived when he said it would and the order was correct.

Would recommend them.

Just the ticket

Radiators exactly as described & seen on the website.
They are in place and look fabulous and at last our extension is warm.
Delivery was as arranged.
Great service and should we need more radiators ( we are a small gas engineer company) then without hesitation we will use you & we will recommend you to anyone we do work for and friends and family.

Be Aware! Shockingly poor service for a high value product

if i had the chance to do it all again, I would never have placed an order with this company. I find it hard to even recognise the same company from the positive reviews and now question their validity. At first the price seemed good value but then slowly over time, little bits got added on by which time i was emotionally committed, i lost the will to go to another supplier. I had to pay my money up front which was just less than £10k with VAT included and honestly at one point i felt i had been had by a rogue trader. I paid the money on 31st July and as of today 15th October i am still waiting for the dleivery with no confirmation of when it will arrive. They tried to get me to sign a poorly written disclaimer at time of order which wanted me to take full responsibility for the product arriving faulty and not to my order - i had to rewrite it for them. I fell victim of the Italian summer vacation in the factory they use so my order was not picked up until 1st of september. i also had two bespoke curved radiators which at the time of order i supplied the measurements of the bays that would house these rads but was told i would receive a proof drawing and could make amendments to if not quite right. well when I eventually got those drawings and my heating engineer and i marked out where the rads would go in the bay, we both came to the conclusion that they had under sized the rads by about 10mm to get them spot on for the bays. so when i fed this information through, i was told that actually that would involve going back to the beginning of the 8 week period and additional costs. after many years in marketing and reviewing artwork proofs, i have never been charged money for pointing out a simple mistake. so at that point, i lost the will to live again and decided to stick with their design to avoid wasting any more time and money. Then i was told i would receive my order which would be dropped on the main road on 13th October. I would also told to expect the curved rads to follow later which was fine. However on friday before i emailed customer services for confirmation of the delivery but heard nothing back. On monday morning as my team of builders gathered on site to unload this big heavy delivery, i received confirmation from customer services to say that delivery would not be today but their supplier was chasing Italy to find out when they are dispatching to you. By afternoon the poor customer services agent who had been rendered useless by inadequate information services, declared that she had been chasing a response all day but couldn't confirm. she hinted it might not happen this week. By tuesday mid morning still no answer, more stories of waiting for responses/chasing people etc. By mid afternoon, she finally had an answer to say that the rads have left the factory in Italy but until they arrived in the Uk with their main UK supplier/partner/manufacturer she was unable to confirm a new delivery. so after encouraging her to provide a ball park, this poor very apologetic, unempowered customer services agent gave me a rough idea to expect that maybe another week might just do it. So that's where we are. No fixed date for delivery and my rads somewhere in the back of a lorry making their way to a port I guess. The other funny thing is that apparently one my curved rads has made it into the delivery. Am I supposed to be happy about that and forgive everyone I wonder? It is shocking to think that i can part with almost £10k and have entrusted that money with a company that has ineffective systems and processes and has very bad taste in partners and suppliers.

I would urge everyone to think very carefully about using this company. when you think you are saving a few pounds on a high value product, you need to know you have a reliable company behind you with a reliable network of support. Fingers crossed in a couple of weeks, i will have nice new rads which will be perfect and there will be no customer service issues!

Finally I only ticked 2 stars because no one has been rude to me but really it feels like it should be the lowest score.

Thank you for taking the time to place your review on this issue. Your feed back is very important to me & the company, & is a help to the continuous improvement programme that I am responsible for.

After reading the review & talking to yourself on the telephone, I can honestly say that I am very disappointed with the grade of service you have received.

I just want to take this opportunity to break down the points you have raised.

Bits being added on:
After looking at your order, everything is now on there that you will need. But it looks like the sales consultant was not transparent with this to start with – I can only apologize for this & assure you that the relevant consultant will be receiving retraining.

Written disclaimer:

Only 3 weeks ago I revisited the disclaimer, to find it was a very poor document. Since then I have personally addressed this. The disclaimer is now a verbal disclaimer that expedites the customer experience & ensures all areas are covered correctly. Again, this only happen because of good customer feed back.

Italian summer:

After taking to yourself, I feel that we both accept this is the case, but it doesn't make things easy.

Proof drawings:

Again after talking to you & understanding that in your working life, you deal with lot of proof reading on drawings “You're correct” this took too long from both ourselves & our manufacturer. I have monthly meetings with all my manufacturers to help with our continuous improvement programme, & rest assured this has been put on the agenda to resolve/improve.

Dropped off on main road:

As I explained to you this is an area that we have no control over at all. Unfortunately this is something that is controlled by the Transport Industry & their insurance companies. But your point of “I just need a due date” so that you can make sure you have your installers there to take in to the property, is 100% valid. I am personally managing your order to completion now along with our manufacturer's managing director, & will keep in constant contact with you, to ensure you get the ETA for delivery.

Customer service agent:

I have spoken to Laura (The agent that you referred to) I believe talking to both Laura & yourself , that Laura has tried to keep you in the loop at all stages, but has not been able to resolve or get you the information that is needed. I feel she has tried her best, but that has just not been good enough. I can only apologize that you feel let down here.

Thank you for being courteous in explaining that everyone has been polite to you while dealing with this issue. Considering the list of issues stated, that is very kind of you.

Disappointing and muddled service

Whilst sounding polite and efficient on the phone, they failed to resolve my query about the 'feet' accessory quickly, and then have provided no further communication as to whether the main radiator item I ordered has been despatched or not. they appear to have forgotten about it, and us ! it's been a very frustrating experience all round.

Again please take my apologies. The radiator is a product that we ship direct to our customers from our manufacturer. Unfortunately we were led to believe that this product had been delivered to you already. I have taken the time to talk with our manufacturer to show my disappointment in their performance with your order.

Since we have received your feed-back we have ensured that our customer service manager has taken ownership of your order through to completion. We have a due date of Friday 19/09/14 for delivery of your radiator to yourself.

Great radiator at a good price

The products are good although the lack of being able to track the order was disconcerting as the valves were delivered separately and the radiator was delivered unannounced so it was lucky someone was in.
Responses from customer services were prompt and helpful.

Efficient, prompt and well organised

After having had poor service from another provider of column radiators, leading to us cancelling the order, it was so refreshing to receive such efficient service. Radiators 4u did exactly as it said on the packing with the radiator arriving the day after ordering and the valves in the post the day after. Very impressed and will order my others from there in the very near future

Excellent value for money, prompt delivery

I was looking to buy a Delonghi column radiator for a room in our house, and found columnradiators4u. I was surprised at the prices in their clearance sale and was suspicious that it was too good to be true. But I was pleasantly surprised - the service on the phone was excellent, the radiator was as good as I hoped it would be, and it was delivered in a couple of days. I'll definitely be using them again.
