Excellent service,no problems ,very helpful staff, fast delivery.
I am very happy with computer,no problems with it,i would be quite happy to order again from this company,no problems at all.
all round perfection!
I bought a dell desktop as a replacement, i cant fault it, everything as advertised and one happy customer!
Delighted with a bargain of a machine!
While I was happy with the product and the price paid, I thought the time it took for delivery was a bit long. But overall I am very happy with my purchase.
all as promised
good customer service after a small problem with the ordering process. I would use them again.
Problem sorted rapidly.
I bought a reconditioned PC to replace one that was running Windows XP. The purchase was through Pixmania but supplied by compu-zone.co.uk. After loading my own program's I was experiencing repeated blue screen crashes and contacted Pixmania via their customer services on a Sunday. I had a reply from them within an hour and was contacted by compu-zone's tech department the following day. I supplied them with information re the crashes and had a faulty hard drive diagnosed. A replacement drive arrived 2 days later which was preloaded with Windows 7. Excellent customer service and no crashes since replacement of the hard drive.
Helpful live support, would recommend, but delivery took longer than I expected
Top marks to the live online support, very helpful. The order took a little longer to arrive than I expected however. I used compu-zone.ie, when shopping on a .ie domain from within Ireland, most people would expect somewhere based on the island. Of course Compu-Zone is actually a UK company. Delivery of two refurbished PCs took best part of 2 weeks. This would be the only factor that would make me reluctant to use them again. Price and quality wise I was happy, as I was with the support.
A lot of hassle
Ordered a PC tower from these guys which was delivered a week later. Tried to plug in my monitor but was unable due to the wrong (a much cheaper!) graphics card being installed which had no normal connections. Tried phoning and no one picked up so emailed and after a few messages back and forth they sent the new part 2 days later. After fitting it myself I turned on the PC and noticed only 1GB of RAM was installed (not 4GB which I paid for) and was promised it. A week later I asked again as it hadn't been delivered. Still waiting and I don't know if I can be bothered to keep hassling them for the parts which should have been in the PC in the first place!
Buying refurbished was always going to be a risk but this has caused so much chasing and hassle and has really put me off Compuzone.
If I were you then get a refurb off of [external reference], least you have some sort of protection with buyer/seller disputes etc.
Very good value for money, prompt delivery and good on line support
The reconditioned Dell computer with monitor, keyboard and mouse were delivered quickly and look pretty much as new. I am delighted with the purchase. My only minor criticism is that the advert said that the computer would come pre-loaded with the Windows 7 operating system. It didn't. The operating system installed was still XP. However, the package came with a Windows 7 disc and updating the system to Windows 7 was a simple as putting the disc into the drive and following the on screen instructions. I received good on-line support when I queried the fact that Windows 7 had not been installed as advertised. I have confidence in Compu-Zone and would buy from them again. Overall I am very pleased with the purchase and it is good value for money.
Looks new
Was troubled by Microsoft, s refusal to update my 3 win XP P.C.,s to Win 7. Saw a Win 7 PC deal on their website and decided to go for it for my wife,s birthday. This was my second purchase from them and although it took a little longer to arrive; when it did the Monitor, keyboard and mouse were brand new so the whole set looks and performs from switch on. Will definately recommend this firm to my friends.
fabulous value and customer service
I am no computer whizz and found compu - zone during a search as my computer was dying! . I hope that I will be using their services again very soon for more equipment for the office and I have been recommending them to all and sundry.
thanks alot :)
.Excellent supplier!
I have been using Compu-Zone for about 2 years and always found them very reliable and helpful
U get what it says on the tin!
Ordered over the weekend and product was delivered by courier on the Thursday. This was because what I had ordered was not 'off the shelf', but required alterations to the basic offering on their website.
Excellent service, and would recommend this company to everyone.
Desktop is of a higher spec than was originally ordered. Well pleased.
Wonderful Purchase & Excellent Advice for a Computer novice!
Compu-zone were very helpful in dealing with my initial enquiry, as a complete computer novice I was bewildered by all the terminology and I just needed a basic system for internet access and ability to run Sage accounts for my Business.
They advised me on a system that would tick all the boxes without stretching my limited budget. The system arrived within 3 working days and works wonderfully. Top marks to Compu-zone!
Beware!! - The perils of buying a 'Refurbished' Laptop Computer.
I have thought long and hard before leaving this review, in order to be as fair as I possibly can to Compu-Zone. I would first of all say that, although I can only award 1 star (no stars at all did not appear to be an option!), this is based upon my overall experience of the standard of Customer Service received. As far as my eventual satisfaction with the product is concerned, I wouldn't hesitate to award 5 stars and, had C-Zone responded promptly and reasonably to resolve my issues they would only have failed to achieve 5 stars because they still even now appear to insist that there was no fault on their part and that I have somehow managed to 'get one over on them'. There remains some considerable 'bad feeling'.
Had I placed my order directly on the C-Zone website, I am in no doubt that the matter would have ended up in court, as I would not have given up. However I was 'lucky' to have placed the order via the Pixmania website and was able to enlist their support in pursuing the matter, although even they initially dismissed my complaint saying that they found 'nothing wrong' on the part of their Partner Seller, Compu-Zone. I persisted and we have now achieved a compromise solution, but it has taken around 6 weeks from placing my order to get a result, involving in excess of 100 email messages back and for, several telephone calls and some considerable unpleasantness.
The product I ordered was described as a 'fully refurbished' Lenovo T410 and C-Zone were initially very helpful in arranging delivery to my address here in France. They despatched the goods promptly on a Thursday - the delivery took only 4 days, over a week-end, and arrived on the following Monday - excellent! On receipt however, I found that the battery-pack had not been inserted correctly and was projecting unevenly at one end. It could neither be fully clicked into place correctly, nor could it be removed using the release tab. (I was subsequently advised by a local computer technician who examined it for me that the hooks on the battery pack had been damaged by careless, forceful insertion and a broken piece of a hook was jammed in the latch-mechanism. C-Zone later claimed that by having it examined by a third-party tech 'without their permission', I had totally invalidated my warranty!) I proceeded to plug the Laptop in via the charger and immediately got an on-screen battery warning. I waited until 'fully charged' came up, unplugged it and then found that the Laptop powered-off without warning in under 5 minutes. When I plugged in again, the battery monitor said that the battery was capable of accepting only 8% of its original capacity. That is 92% useless!
I reported these two 'defects' immediately that same day, via C-Zone's tech-help site. C-Zone have never responded at all to the battery-attachment issue, despite me sending them photographs, and stated that under the terms of their warranty, the battery condition was not covered at all. They interpret their terms of warranty to mean that they offer no warranty whatsoever that a Laptop offered for sale as 'fully refurbished' will have a working battery at the time that it is despatched to the customer. 'Refurbished' is clearly a misleading description in this instance, as the purchaser must expect to have to shell-out immediately for a replacement battery.
Once I had secured the intervention of Pixmania's Customer Support Team Supervisor, an acceptable compromise was eventually agreed. I had asked for 20 pounds towards the cost a replacement battery pack, which I felt was reasonable. Pixmania felt that it should be 25 pounds and that is what I received. Part of the refund came promptly from Pixmania within 24 hours, whereas the balance from C-Zone took over a week to arrive in my account. Although my warranty on the Laptop itself has been reinstated, this was granted grudgingly and C-Zone continue to quibble about the length of the warranty and when it should expire. Their last email about this was in fact quite rude and offensive, although they did later offer something approaching an apology for their 'tone and unprofessional conduct'. Pixmania, however, were quote - absolutely dismayed and embarrassed by the type of communication you have had to put up with from Compu Zone - unquote, and have seen fit to offer me further compensation as an apology for the behaviour of their Partner Seller.
In conclusion, be wary of any warranty offered which may turn out to be worthless and if you feel that you have a justifiable grievance, be persistent and do not be fobbed-off. It can pay to read up on your rights under the '7-day Distance Selling' Regulations, the 'Sale of Goods' Act and the 'Unfair Contract Terms' legislation, all of which can easily be downloaded. You might be surprised to find that some online retailers do not meet their obligations in several respects under these, and I have found that to be useful ammunition in any dispute. Although open to interpretation, the deciding factor is generally what a customer can, quote - reasonably expect - unquote, of a product 'as it is described by the seller'. To my mind, 'Fully Refurbished' should mean fully functional in every respect.
Had C-Zone responded reasonably and with good grace, I might have accepted having to put up a bit of a fight, but their attitude appears to remain unreasonable.. The Lenovo T410 itself, however, is now excellent with a new battery pack and I can thoroughly recommend it. Top marks to Pixmania, but not to Compu-Zone.

A friendly, efficient, and professional company - what more could one as for !
This is my second purchase from Compu-Zone and, as with my first contact with the company, the service was friendly and professional.. It became obvious from my initial call that here was a company I could trust. The product was as descibed: the documentation was good; the packaging was excellent- best I've seen in my twenty years in the electronic industry ! I take my hat off to you all at Compu-Zone. A thoroughly decent British company that deserves a top award for the way it conducts its business. Many thanks - Diolch yn fawr , David Irfon Williams.
What a lot for not a lot
Was a bit dubious at first of buying a refurbished PC but did some checking around and decided that Compo-Zone offered a good all round package. Placed the order and added a few extras and hey presto the PC arrived as ordered [ took slightly longer than was said but it was just before xmas ] PC came with upgraded os and new product key. I added a new mouse, keyboard and a wireless/wifi adapter. All this for under £160.
