Look at his recent positives it tells you something, he threatened to leave us in Spain if we complained, says it all
Do not trust this guy or company
Atrocious Service, Unprofessional & left everyone HUNDREDS of POUNDS out of pocket
This was the worst travel experience I have ever had, the worst service and an unbelievable amount of money we had to pay out to cover things we were promised but they never transpired.
We booked a trip from Glasgow direct to Seville, this included transfers too and from the airport, seamless... Or at least that's what we were led to believe.
The trouble started when he (and his company) couldn't get the flight times right, Glasgow was leaving at 5am...then it was 7am...then it was back to 5am. He had another flight leaving from Prestwick Airport at 7am...they were told 5am, then back to 7am....he and his company were sending conflicting information about both flights, confusing them together and leaving us all in a spin.
Some passengers missed their flight... From above I think you know why.
Very Late into Tuesday evening whilst most passengers would be trying to sleep before check in, a message was sent out that the flight was no longer going to Seville, it was now going to Jerez Airport which was an hours drive from Seville.
Then we were told that the company handling the transfers had let them down and we would have to make our own way to Seville by taxi or train... At our own expense, but we still had the return transfers in place...
Now... We were promised for the Glasgow flight that extra staff would be on hand to assist from 2 30am onwards.... That time came and went with nobody available, then a young girl and boy arrived, didn't introduce themselves and didn't interact or inform, passengers had to approach them and it became quickly apparent they were out their depth and unable to answer questions, this was when they suddenly became tied up in phone calls even though their phones looked glaringly inactive.
The flight times in the airport didn't list the flight, online it said it was leaving just after 7am, the board went up saying it was landing on Seville, the boarding passes said the destination was Malaga!!!
It was a nightmare
We got on the plane and when we landed at Jerez airport we had to get taxis, the cost was 150 Euros for us, at our expense.
Everyone had to incur this cost, some were unlucky not to be able to share a taxi and had to meet the full cost themselves.
We were told to keep receipts and Cc Travel would meet some of the cost.... At the time of writing they have not answered any queries about this, nor have they honoured any.
We were given an address for a pick up point in Seville for the return transfer and all was good with that, or so we thought.
Then the pick up point changed to a completely different area, these messages were being sent out via email and a WhatsApp group CC Travel had set up. By the time this was being relayed phones were losing charge or getting no signal due to things happening in Seville (police confiscating phone chargers and phone banks from some of the passengers who were attending the match we had all travelled to see) this was relayed back to the travel company.
Then we were told that once again the company handling the transfers back to Jerez had let them down but have no fear... CC Travel had secured a 50 seater coach that would take us, however it was £75 a head and first come first served, there were over 150 passengers on the Glasgow flight, so over 100 would be left struggling.
When people complained about this and about having to pay, Conor Campbell threatened to have their names removed from the flight lists and leave them in Seville!!
The 50 seater coach was also sent to. ANOTHER location, the third one we had been given, when the bus arrived the driver wouldn't let the passengers use the toilet and told them to urinate in the street, he also wasn't wanting to wait for any folk struggling to get through Seville to the pick up point, even though they had paid, we're messaging Conor Campbell travel to say they were on their way but were running late as there were no buses or taxis, one of these passengers had a young child with them, but that didn't matter.
During this last debacle Conor Campbell promised the following...
'As a gesture of goodwill, we will offer you £200 off any future holiday with ourselves or any of our 100+ partners who include the likes of Jet2holidays, TUI and Easyjet Holidays'
This was also an empty promise that has not been followed up, fulfilled or carried out, in fact any questions or queries about it remain unanswered.
The behaviour of this company is absolutely criminal, they ripped everyone off and were happy to leave passengers... And children stranded in a foreign country, unless they conformed and paid all the extra expenses.
Back at the airport there were no staff from Conor Campbell travel to speak to passengers or give us the courtesy of an apology, there has also been no written apology via email or WhatsApp.
Would you use this company?, I would Urge everyone to go elsewhere
Poor Experience
Not really sure where to start with this one to be honest. As a business owner myself I don’t take the decision lightly when scoring another business so poorly as I know we all face challenges.
Pitched as the saviour for Rangers fans looking to get to Seville on a chartered flight, I jumped at the opportunity as I had a ticket for the game but no way of getting there.
I didn’t hesitate in booking two tickets for the return flight to SEVILLE with transfers. Booking in itself was questionable with no credit card payments being accepted, only bank transfers with no ATOl certificate forwarded over after being promised.
Customers where all then added to a WhatsApp group that was admin only controlled. In this group chat Conor and his team used the term “CONFIRMED”on several different occasions only for us to find out in actual fact nothing was “confirmed.”
In short, our flights to Seville were changed the night before to Jerez airport (over an hour away from Seville) and after being told that transfers were confirmed to and from this airport, we arrived in Jerez to nothing but local taxis which we were forced to pay €125 to get to Seville.
Fast forward to 3 hours before kickoff, we are told in the WhatsApp group that the return transfers would not be there (after being told they were CONFIRMED) and that only 1 bus holding 50 people would be offered - bear in mind there were 2 flights worth of his customers now stranded (approx 400+ passengers) To add insult to injury he was demanding £75 for this service - disgusting!!
After the game it was a mad rush to get out the stadium and find a taxi, after an hour of hunting for one we did find a driver willing to take us to Jerez but it would be €370. We simply had to pay this.
Maybe this is a lesson for Conor Campbell travel, but never tell your customers something is “confirmed”when it isn’t and never talk about your profit margins in front of your customers as it came across as a business unwilling to supply transfers as it would hurt your back pocket. All of this I have in the WhatsApp group chat you opened.
After all this, their response is I can have £200 off my next holiday with them. No thanks!
Absolute crook of a business
Absolute crook of a business, fleeced hundred of desperate fans trying to get to Seville! No communication when required causing excess stress and anxiety from people/families trying to enjoy a trip away to watch the football. Cost increases on promised flights direct from Glasgow to Seville that at the last minute were diverted to Jerez but communicated it was Malaga!!!!!! Not to worry transfers are arranged only to find out….. no they’re not but just pay out your pocket with your food and drink money to transfer yourself and pay €120 and we’ll reimburse 50%! But assured that transfers back were booked and pick-up point would be communicated. Naaaaa pick up point changed 3 times and the transfers had been cancelled but hey ho pay another €75pp (x2 of us) and we’ll let you know where we will pick you up! This was while we were ram packed in queues waiting to support our team and absolutely no way of arranging alternative transfer back to Jerez!
100% stay away from this company and don’t be fooled!!
Charter flight 2 was a complete…
Charter flight 2 was a complete shambles! Direct flight Glasgow to Seville £949 including transfers! This was not delivered as advertised, I would go as far as saying it was mis-sold! The flights ended up being Prestwick to Jerez, no transfers to or from the Spanish airport with the information changing every hour and only at the last minute telling the passengers they were not available! It would seem that we were lied to to get on the hook and avoid any cancellations or complaints on the day! The experience was horrible and to top it all off most of the travelers on the plane were Abandoned in Seville, with no way to get to the airport, no information and no Taxi's! Conor Campbell did not provide the service he advertised, very much full of excuses but he has a chance to at least properly compensate paying customers who paid a lot of money to cover what they had to pay to reach and return to destinations and airport , our outstanding taxi expenses totalled €430 and before the flight messaged he would pay 1/2 of the taxi's. Not acceptable! So,will he do the honorable thing and pay out in full and compensate passengers for stress and fear over no transfers from Seville to Jerez at 1am?
I and others are considering court action and if we need to we will go for full refunds due to the product delivered not being as advertised (Different airports, no transfers). Will Conor show himself to be a professional Travel operator or a fly by night operation!
Horror show
Seville trip was absolutely chaotic. Disgraceful setup couldn’t organise a jolly in a brewery. Avoid at all costs
Seamless trip.
Fantastic Service
Fantastic Service. Only problem was on the flights you couldn't get anywhere near the toilets as there was a long queue of zombies waiting to drink out of them. But that wasn't conors fault considering there were 100 million zombies travelling to seville.
Great service, clean toilets
Fantastic services, can only recommend. Was a bit spoiled by a bunch of drunken guests in blue shirts that drank all toilets empty and shat and vomited all over the place. Other than that it was fun.
This was nothing more than a Con to…
This was nothing more than a Con to take people's money and run. Shocking behaviour as he has used it to get massive publicity but allowed his own prejudices to stroke people for thousands of pounds. Con artists like this deserve to be outed to the British Nation. He owes me a fortune but thankfully now has a premises to collect the refunds.
Spot on, apart from other travellers drinking out of the toilet
Absolutely spot on trip to Seville. No hassle whatsoever despite nearly 20 million football fans travelling to Seville for the football match.
Only slight hiccup was lots of folk on the flights kept drinking out of the toilets, which meant there was long queues and difficulty flushing, but appreciate this is outwith Connor's control. These people moaned about everything and anything, and everything was always someone else's fault - they had no personal responsibility or agency to look after themselves.
Perfect
Perfect. Will use again. Don't know what the negative feedback is all about, seems like it's coordinated.
Awful
Awful. Total conman and wouldn’t communicate when I had queries. Do not use this company for anything
If I could have left no stars I would…
If I could have left no stars I would have
An absolute shambles of a service from start to finish and I’ll never use again
Shambolic
I have already left my review on the Conor Campbell Travel Facebook page, but it seems like he would rather delete that function to save face to the poor customers who wish to contact him in the future.
Communication and customer service levels are shambolic. Promises the world and delivers nothing.
We received countless “promises” in the lead up to the trip, IE info will be delivered hourly, more info by 12pm, full itinerary by 5pm. The list of promises is endless. The list of what he achieved? Nothing.
Glasgow to Seville return was our package we paid for. What we got? At the 11th hour we were told it would be Prestwick to Jerez (1+ hour out of Seville) return. But not only that, we would need to stop for a refuel. Have you ever heard of a plane refuelling for a short flight from Scotland to Spain?! This caused us to lose out on an hour of our time in Seville, which had already been cut short due to the airport change.
Conor advertised that transfers were included in the price of the trip. Part of the reason with booking with him was due to this, as we knew how difficult they would be able to source ourselves whilst there. When he failed to book these transfers, no apologies were forthcoming, instead he expected US to feel sorry for HIM! Did we receive an offer of a refund for the transfer element of the trip? NO! Did we need to pay over €160 extra for a single taxi journey? YES!
And that’s not the worst of it. Conor delighted in telling us he had secured a single 50 seater bus to take us back to the airport at 0130. 50 seats for 2 FULL plane loads of people. Was this covered by the money we had already paid? Of course not, we were threatened that unless we paid £75 per person for this single journey we would be left stranded.
Stay clear of this cowboy and his shambles of a “company”.
First class service every time!!
First class service every time.I book with Conor several times a year and he takes the stress out of travelling or making amendments. I’d have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him.
AVOID AVOID AVOID
Family left out of pocket after travelling with this company. Had to pay for transfers after departure time and destination airport was changed several times. Rushing around trying to get there as they refused to pay or organise adequate transfers after they lost the original ones. Lack of clarity, arrogant and money grabbing.
Most disorganised, unprofessional, badly run trip I’ve been on
People have summed up most of the Seville trip below but the one that seems to have been missed is when he sent a what’s app message threatening to strike peoples name off the flight home while we were in Seville!
I thought the trip couldn’t get more unprofessional up to that point but he managed to!
Seems like Connor wanted to just make some fast cash and did not care about the customers!
Maybe worth future clients keeping this in mind!
Ps still no apology for the appalling trip or claim form for expenses
This was an absolutely shambles from…
This was an absolutely shambles from start to finish. Connor has over promised and under delivered on a massive scale. The sheer lack of communication can only be deliberate and designed to ensure confusion leaves you with no other option but to accept what you are being told. To see so many people panicked and at a loss was terrible. All so one person can make a quick buck. Money has been paid for services not delivered and when you think that is bad enough Connor lands a further ultimatum for you to part with more money or be left stranded against the clock not knowing if or how you will make it back to the airport to catch a flight.
