I’ve use Contrado multiple times and have had excellent service. They go over and beyond to provide great customer service; prompt and helpful!
Good product and a good response by customer service
Due to my ineptitude and /or lack of clarity of the Contrado website I ended up making six individual orders on the second occasion I bought from them, rather than one basket order. There were 4 large bone china mugs and 2 tea towels each with their own graphic designs making six orders instead of one.
I explained my mistake/misunderstanding to the chat service and then in person to Yash telling them I would be charged delivery for each separate item all of which arrived together.
So my cost of delivery on the first order of 4 regular bone China mugs was £7.46 of a total price of £67.46.
Whereas my cost of delivery on my second order of 4 large bone China mugs and two tea towels was £41.41 out of a total price of £117.22.
Yash kindly offered to refund me the excess delivery cost with a money off next purchase offer, although I would have prefered a refund. For some reason the voucher didn’t arrive and /or I missed it amongst the many e-mails to and from Contrado about all this.
Prompted by their requests for a review I posted a two star here yesterday. Today I received a phone from Yash seeking to remedy the situation. The result is that I will only be charged £7.46, which is the correct combined shipping cost and fair. The remaining shipping amount has been fully refunded.
I’m very happy with this outcome and I commend Yash and Contrado for sorting it out.
I’m generally very happy with these bespoke products and may well buy again if Contrado can bear to deal with me!
I would order the bone China mugs again.
If they had a builder’s mug size in bone China I would buy that.
Note: I found the ‘bleed’ indicator on design template imprecise. Took several attempts using Photoshop to get the positioning of my designs right so they ran right to the lip and base and no further.
Tea towels
Advertised size versus reality after three washes:
• 100% cotton 70cm x 50cm to 69.5cm x 45.5cm.
o Length shrinkage fine – only 0.5cm reduction, but width shrinkage poor - reduced by 4.5cm.
o But would buy again as it’s still a good-sized tea towel and looks great.
• 95% cotton 5% linen 70cm x 50cm to 65.5cm x 48cm.
o Length poor – 4.5cm reduction and width shrunk by 2cm.
o So on balance wouldn’t buy again.
I had a similar 'bleed' problem with tea towel design tool, but by then I’d learned to run my design just within the pink bleed line. However I had great difficulty with label design tool (it's nice touch and I wish I’d noticed the potential for a logo on the base of the mugs!)

I have been using Contrado for almost a year now. I use Contrado as someone who is preparing to become a wholesaler and their support, replies to emails, the quality of deliverables and speed of delivery is all of outstanding quality. I was trying out some other POD companies along side them…and I dropped them all and stayed with Contrado. They deliver their promise.
Excellent Service and Quality
I used my own artwork to have some tea towels printed - I am thrilled with the outcome. The quality of the tea towels is excellent and the reproduction of my painting is equally as good. A very simple process to upload photos to the Contrado site and not long after that my lovely tea towels arrived. Brilliant!

Beautiful
Beautifully made, I love it. I wanted to capture a personal memory of a sunrise on a 140 cm square canvas. The canvas arrived carefully packed and it’s just perfect. All the colours are captured beautifully and clearly, even the shades of the sun and the waves of the sea look so alive… wonderful work, Contrado 👏👏👏

Avoid at any cost! No support. Bad quality.
While I was initially informed that the order would be dispatched within 2–3 days, delivery took approximately 10 days. However, the primary issue is not the delay, but the unsatisfactory and defective quality of the goods supplied.
Specifically:
Premium Labels
All items supplied have labels with missing or invisible text. The print quality is so poor that the labels are unreadable. This is entirely inconsistent with the product description and previews shown on your website, which clearly display legible text and full detail. A premium charge was applied for these labels, yet they are not fit for purpose.
Overall Garment Quality
Multiple T-shirts show visible defects, including white lines, poor finishing, and crooked stitching. These issues are obvious and should have been identified during quality control prior to dispatch.
Incorrect Packaging (Boxes)
As shown on the attached order sheet and photographs, the first box is correct and displays the whale design as shown in the online preview. However, subsequent boxes—although marked as “Use same box”—display a completely different design (a square with the letters “TH”).
Your website does not allow the customer to create different boxes where “Use same box” is selected, therefore all boxes should have been identical. This discrepancy should have been identified by your design or quality control team. The order was held for five days prior to production, during which time this error was visible and could have been queried with me.
Packaging Quality
The boxes supplied are also defective, with glue failing and packaging coming apart.
Due to the above issues, the goods are not of satisfactory quality, not as described, and not fit for purpose, particularly as they were intended to be Christmas gifts. I am therefore unable to use or gift these items.

Awful printing process
Edit - Updating to 3* as they have since reached out to resolve the matter properly.
Dispatch later than advertised. Special delivery ended up arriving 4 days later than expected due to delay. Order arrived and print was nowhere close to preview.
Initially requested cancellation due to delay which seemed to be actionable from the first customer service response just to have a dispatch email a few days later followed by an "it's already been dispatched can't cancel now" email. Tried to get an explanation on why I was told I could cancel if it wasn't possible but that point was ignored in every follow up.
Somewhat understandable delays due to Christmas but item arrived and looked nothing like the preview in their design tool. Complete misalignment of the image. Response for extremely poor print was an explanation on how inaccurate their print process and QA can be but because it's custom I can't return it. Resolution was a measly 20% refund and left with a product fit for the bin.
Completely unacceptable to expect customers to take it on the chin for their poor production processes. At the very least you should should supply QA images before dispatch for customer approval if theres known potential for discrepancies between preview and product.
Extra star as their customer service are polite albeit shackled by poor policy

Strange way of running a "business"
Yep, don't bother.
Ordered two individually designed scented candles as Christmas presents on 8th Dec,
Immediately told that the scent i wanted wasn't available, in fact, only one scent across the entire range was available, so accepted that.
Then they sent out two identical candles, which was obviously wrong, when questioned, they sent a confusing response which stated something about sending out a different label for me to put on the wrong candle.
Reluctantly agreed to this, with a week to go to Christmas, now, December 30th, I ask when the issue will be resolved, to be asked if I want to go ahead with the resolution!
Every single step of the way, this company has required you to confirm you want to go ahead with the order that you ordered and does nothing if you don't respond, even if the email doesn't look like it needs a response.
Just bizarre, like there's a language barrier.
If somebody from their company replies to this saying this has been resolved, that is a lie. This was supposed to be Christmas presents, ordered early and not received by 30th December.

My own design and print quality is exbelent, but...
My own design and print quality is stunning but quality of materials for hoodie and t shirt is very cheap. The sleeves of hoodie after 4 days was with a bobbles. I am wearing in my art gallery as part of my uniform and advertising. I paid 85 pounds for hoodie but unfortunately it's the cheap quality of materials. I haven't washed yet but its look like been warn a year
I have not wear my t shirt yet but the quality of material is cheap, look like one time clothes.

Ruined the surprise
Bought custom jigsaws with a special artwork printed, purposely picked a plain tin so not only made it challenging but a surprise to see the final product. They printed out the entire artwork on paper along with it?? if i wanted them to have a reference i would have picked an box with the reference on it!!!

The best customer service, absolutely recommend!
From the initial enquiry to receiving samples and confirming the large project, Kajal has shown nothing but the best in customer service. Following up each time, being dedicated to our timeline and project requirements to ensure we had the best result. They flagged when a sample had different fabric on the gusset due to my error on the design tool and got a new sample sent out before they produced the mass order. Honestly, I cannot fault the level of service we have received. It is difficult to find this level of support recently so thank you for restoring my faith. We shall we back again, and Contrado (and Kajal!) are firmly on our approved supplier list, why wouldn't they!
Also, produced in the UK with great sustainability incentives, perfect!
What a dissapointment...
What a disappointment...
I ordered 4 big velvet fabric designs, two of the designs have absolutely pale colors, and the design details weren't visible at all!
I contacted customer service to get a new order with the correct colors, and after more than a week and multiple reminder emails, I got a reply that there can be "minor variation" during the printing process. What I received was a lot more than just a minor variation.
What is worse is their customer service response time. I sent a complaint a week ago, could finally get a hold of their 24 offline live chat, and was promised to get an answer on the same day. 3 days passed, and I am still being ignored.
I don't know if this could have gone worse tbh.
UPDATE:
The company reached out to me, offering a redo of my order 3 days ago. I replied to the email on the same day and asked for some details to avoid some design problems. 3 days have passed, and two extra reminder emails were sent, and I still haven't gotten a reply.
Mind you, I placed my order on the 30th of October, almost two months now, and they still haven't resolved the issue.
