Good products, great service.

Good printed products and a website that helps design these pretty well. Fast turnaround, good white label shopping experience.

Outstanding customer service - when a rush order couldn’t be completed due to unexpected low stock, a great alternative fabric was suggested and the order turned around super fast, meeting the original deadline. Jeel and the team really pulled out all the stops!

Abhorrent Customer Service

I’m very disappointed with my experience ordering from Contrado. The item I received arrived damaged, and I initially reached out through the hard-to-find web form on their site, including clear photos and a detailed description of the issue.

After a long delay, I finally received a generic, canned response asking for clarification about the damage—despite the fact that I had already provided everything they asked for. To make matters worse, the email came from an address that bounced back, making it impossible to reply.

I tried again using the same difficult-to-locate form, and once again received the exact same canned response with no reference to my previous messages or the information I’d already provided.

To top it all off, shortly after I logged my complaint, they sent me an email asking me to leave a review—as if my issue had been resolved. This felt completely tone-deaf and only added to the frustration.

The lack of timely, effective customer service and the impersonal handling of a clearly documented issue make it hard to recommend Contrado. I won’t be ordering from them again.

Transparent material

Order 3 shirts. Firstly arrive a week later than they were ment to. They emailed to let me know this. Real problem was the quality of material. It feels and look like pyjamas. I ordered my design on a white shirt. The material is completely see though. You can see the pattern on the back pattern through the front of the shirt eg two layers. Contacted customer support about this, completely unhelpfully saying I should order a better quality material and it should be coloured not white. I understand white can be see through. But this material is transparent.

Recycled fibres can naturally be lighter and slightly sheer, especially in white, which is noted in our fabric descriptions online. We noticed the order came in over the weekend since it's non-business day the production starts the next working days, and in case of reprint we certainly share a notification with our customers ensuring to keep them in loop.

We noticed your order material was as described on the website, but understanding your concerns, our team offered a discount for alternate material choice along with a complimentary swatch pack as a goodwill gesture—particularly as it appeared you may be exploring resale. We hoped this would help guide future fabric choices more confidently. However, we never heard back from you.

Had the best experience working with…

Had the best experience working with Contrado on a last minute project with a very tight turn around. They were able to print for me very quickly and were helpful and informative throughout the whole process. Big thank you to Yasheshwari and Andrea for their patience, proactiveness and helpfulness. If you need to print onto any material, these guys are the ones to approach, they have so many different materials. I was looking for a stretchy material for a football T-Shirt and their Softy Peach fabric was perfect, stretchy but a great quality. They have lots of others so I recommend requesting a material sample pack before placing your order.

Think twice before ordering the gift bags

Update I have amended my review from 1* to 3*

Contrado reached out and apologised for how it was handled and agreed with the issues I had with the bags.

I still think they should have resolved this before a review here, but it does show they are listening and trying to improve.

My daughter is happy with the cushions bought, so that's what mainly matters !

The process is clunky, the support is not good.

They delayed my order several days because they were sure that I was doing something wrong, but then agreed that there was a bug and I had to do it my way manually, which was very time consuming. The items were ordered in expensive gift bags, which were no were near the item size and were see through, not ideal for printed surprise products. Overall I found the £100 I spent with them to be not value for money and I would advise looking elsewhere

Very helpful after care support

Very helpful after care support. My initial package was lost (due to Royal Mail). After getting intouch they agreed to reprint and resend. Replacement item was quickly delivered and looks great.

Excellent custom wallpaper

I ordered 8 rolls of custom printed self adhesive wallpaper from Contrado. The quality of the print is excellent, the paper is of high quality and looks to be very durable. We had an issue with one roll, but customer services responded quickly and have dispatched a replacement roll. I am very happy with the services provided and how quickly the order was delivered to me (2 days from ordering!). I will be using Contrado again in the future.

Amazing company to use, their knowledge, customer care and product are first class. They could not have been more helpful throughout the whole process from start to delivery. pocket notebooks - cheap look and poorly bound

I ordered pocket notebooks with my designs - first of all, 19 gbp for a small notebook seemed overpriced, but since the reviews on the website were good, I went ahead and ordered 2. Very disappointed, the quality was awful... cheap looking, the glossy coating of the cover is already starting to peel off after I flipped the cover. Binding is poor too - from the 3rd page, the pages are starting to come off. I tried to write a review following their emailed link, and guess what? page not found.

I've been reached out by one of the team, and I appreciate that they take active response to the feedback. They assured me that they made an adjustment for the quality improvement of the notebook, offered me to reprint, but I didn't need to, then they offered a voucher for the future printing.

Fantasy Writers Faux Leather Map Experience

I am a fantasy writer (non published) and I do a lot of side things like D&D campaigns and short stories.

I created a world in which my books are based, as well as my D&D players play in - Which also means creating a world map.

I've been looking for a company for a while who could print me a quality version of my map, but not on just poster paper, I wanted that textured, faux leather feeling, like a map from yore would have.

When I found Contrado, I asked if they could do it for me, and they said they could, so I took a chance and ordered it.

I had an incredible experience, but I had to mark it 4 starts, and here's why:

+ 2 Star for having the material I needed.
+ 2 Star for having the ability to create the size I needed.
+ 3 Stars for customer service (Priyal was amazing)
- 2 Stars for ease of use with their self design section, it would often crash on me, and I was never really sure if I was doing it right.
-1 Stars for delay in response, the website sent me an e-mail saying I would be responded to in 24 hours (it was more like 3 or 4 days).

All in all, if you're looking for something, I would suggest giving them a try, but reach out to a person to help, I had Priyal help me ensure my design would fit and look good.

Terrible customer service experience

I was excited to incorporate contrado products into my brand. I thought it was great that they offer such a wide array of what seem to be luxury products (silk, velvet etc) as a pod model.

As a business I need reliable partners, regardless of product. I simply can't have my brand tarnished by delays, vagueness, design issues etc.

Unfortunately contrado just does not meet basic minimum viable product for a reliable partner.

Simply ordering a few samples to test the product has been an absolute nightmare. I can't imagine the stress and reputational damage I'd incur using them for my business.

Ask them a question about the preview been faded and whether that reflects real life... Get a vague answer that completely ignores your question and then when you follow up be prepared to be ignored for 3 days...And counting.

Have a product that has been out for shipping for 7 days and you have no idea where it is and want to chase ? Be prepared for them to just direct you to the tracking website, which gives you absolutely no information whatsoever ever. And then be told "I tried contacting royal mail but I had no luck". When you press them to chase.

Its been absolutely horrid customer service so far and there is no way I'm letting them anywhere near my business after what I've just experienced.

I don't care what the products are like when/if they finally come. Basic reliability and communication are red lines and they simply don't meet the minimum requirements to do business with.

It's honestly a real shame, because they could be filling a serious gap in the market with luxury goods not been well represented by pod models but if they can't get the basics right then there is no point bothering to continue down this road.

Exceptional Service & Quality – My Go-To for Sustainable Products!

I've used Contrado numerous times, and every experience has been exceptional! Their customer service is truly end-to-end, assisting with everything from order placement to international shipping and import/export support. They always meet deadlines, and the quality of their products is consistently outstanding. The range of items available is impressive, with a fantastic selection of sustainable materials—one of the key reasons I continue to work with them. Super quality and rapid turnaround.

I recently ordered some sew in labels for some clothing and merch I’m making from Contrado, after some issues with some other label companies I’d previously tried.

The quality is amazing, much better than other companies I’ve used previously, both in terms of print resolution and details, and a perfect colour match. Plus the turnaround was just a few days which is amazing (unlike several other companies that take weeks - and clearly come from China).

I’d 100% recommend them over any other print fabric company, especially for sewing in labels as the quality and turnaround time is amazing. Customer services were also super helpful when I asked questions before placing the order.

Ordered a slim fit shirt from the site.
Adding the design was straight forward, although the graphic on the chest is in the wrong place, which is my fault in placement on the design tool. (Maybe there should be guides for typical placement?)

Then i couldnt proceed because i hadnt added graphics to the arms (which i didnt want to). But again not a massive issue.

The issue i do have is the quality of the fabric in the tshirt itself. I read that its 160gsm but without any prior experience i was unaware of how thin this is.

Ive tried the shirt on and fit is fine, but i doubt that this will wash well and hold its shape. Feels like a very thin and cheap material. The graphics i added show through very easily.

Overall i would use Contrado again but i would do research on the material im actually printing onto.

Poor quality prints, delays and bad customer service

I am fed up of Contrado. I have used them on and off for one off prints for gifts for friends and family over the years and they’ve been fairly hit and miss. Last time they were so bad with delays and I had to leave a trustpilot review for them to take my complaint seriously. This time really is the final straw. Had a framed print done a few weeks back which arrived promptly, not positioned level in the frame and with a print error all the way down one side of the print. I relented as I needed it for my friend and kept it without mentioning to them. Fast forward a few weeks later and I had a second framed print and I am waiting and waiting and waiting and this print has been long overdue delivery by almost a week. No warning / heads up about the delay, and certainly no apologies. I sent two complaints since I got no response after the first one. All I got was a weak apology about the printing team being delayed and that was all. I’m still waiting for it. I am angry, and this is the last time I’ll be using Contrado. They are not cheap and the quality doesn’t match up to the price. Will be on the lookout for alternatives.
