Found it very difficult to arrange a face to face appointment at the Crownhill, Plymouth branch. Told someone would call and never did. Eventually the appointment was made with Nigel Harding and all went well.
Remember to take identity documents and the person arranging the funeral has to have their own method of payment

Peter's funeral
We contacted co-op Funeralcare in Eastcote to arrange my brothers funeral. From the moment we walked through the door there was a warm welcome. We weren't rushed in organising the event. Everything was explained in detail. Thank you Danielle. The funeral director Jon and his team were very respectful of my brother and of my family. They all made the whole experience bearable at such a sad time. We would definitely recommend Co-Op funeral care Eastcote.

The person who assisted us was clear and concise. She moved quickly through the things we knew and understood and spent longer explaining the things we weren't so sure about. WE didn't feel rushed or pressured and were given the time we needed to make informed choices

The information I received was explained in a way that was easy to understand,I chose a plan that was right for me the gentleman who sold me the plan gave me plenty of time to think about it answered all my questions in great detail i am very happy with the service i received would recommend to family and friends.

Simple to understand and transparency throughout. Up front costs and interest free payments over 12 months makes the plans accessible and easy.
Real peace of mind.
I also have to mention the estate planning service which is astoundingly good and a MUST if you want your wishes followed.

Please don’t use this company
Please don’t use this company. I paid £900 on 24 April 2026 for my relative’s funeral before realising there were sufficient funds in her bank Acct and that Nat West would pay them when presented with the funeral company’s invoice. I explained this to the coop who advised no problem, gave me the invoice and said they would reimburse me for my payment asap. The funeral was on 15 May 2026. It is now 21 July annd after about a hundred e mails back and forth reassuring me they will refund - they still have not done so with different excuses every time. The last one being today asking me to confirm payments made? It is hard to get them to answer the phone and they will not provide the name or contact details of someone senior at head office for me to liaise with. I think the company is very poorly run and dishonest to be frank and therefore would strongly suggest to using an alternative. It’s a stressful time and you want honesty, diligence and kindness.
