The product is very good, but at present I’ve not had to make a claim. I would have given it a 5 start apart from your renewal costs, for the second year in a row I’ve declined the renewal because th... See more

The representative was polite, informative, courteous and efficient!
Easy to apply and one of our party has medical disclosures which were easy to add and the policy was god value for money.

Made a mistake on the online form. Contacted co-op within minutes. Took a couple of minutes to correct and cost me £35.
Was told it would cost me £35 to cancel the insurance even though the insurance did not start until 4 days later.
Since co op replied on 16/06 (it's now the 28/06) saying they would contact me to discuss the issue I have heard nothing prompting me to reduce the score to one star.

Helpful contact, listened and acted quickly to alter mileage on policy which reduced the premium. Pleasant, friendly and efficient. Top marks!
Was all good. But when I returned to get a quote again it went from 120£ to 2000£. Possibly a glitch. The 3 rd time I got a quote it came back correctly. Otherwise all good.
My mother has just died. I was notifying them of this and trying to keep the policy going, because one of my siblings is staying at the house while we sort things in the aftermath of her death.
There was absolutely no empathy, nor common sense, employed in this endeavour by the Co-op Insurance staff member on the phone.
I was on the phone for over an hour, endlessly having to answer questions the company would already have known the answers to (given it was all on the existing policy of my mother). I do not own, nor live, in this house....my mother has just died...and I am getting endless questions about the types of mortice locks, etc, etc. AND then being asked about my marketing preferences and whether they can keep my credit card details on file for renewal purposes. NO! They cannot! Please just deal with what I am trying to do in as smooth and efficient, and empathetic way as possible. Every time I pointed out that they already knew this information, the girl on the phone said something like: "If you keep interrupting me, this will only take you far longer." Unreal.
Co-op Insurance failed on all counts. Even their email link to setting up an online account failed to work - it would not accept my date of birth (I suspect their terrible system might still have my late mother's DOB in there instead?)
I have lodged a complaint, which I hope will be swiftly responded to. It was a total disgrace. (I have had very smooth, straightforward and kind responses and resolutions from various other banks and financial institutions). Co-op Insurance obviously has very poorly trained staff. I would not recommend this company.

Scott, the agent, was very patient and helpful despite my having misread my quotation documents.
He sorted my quote out with good humour and is a credit to the COOP.
Spoke to a friendly lady called Kelly, who explained everything clearly
Very easy to complete the form online except in picking Spain as a destination the form required a destination. The city or district of Alicante was not on the drop-down list so picked one of the locations I am visiting in the period. I hope that doesn't invalidate the policy. After checking with the Co-Op everything is fine. So the help line was quick and excellent help.
