Bad experience with DHL company

For the first time, I had a bad experience with a courier point an agency that provides services with different entities (carriers) where there are different accessible prices. When you register in the system, it appears from where the items will be collected to where you want to send them. It has a specific code where you can track it anytime/any day. Unfortunately, DHL collected my order on Monday and returned it 24 hours later to the same place where it was collected (the service is international outside of England).

I wasted a day and a half on the phone trying to understand why the parcel was sent back to the same address where the parcel was collected, the first answer I got was "they work like this from time to time especially in this high season Christmas".

The girl on the phone (courier point) customer service was super helpful with me, helped me in whatever way she could, and always had solutions to resolve this embarrassing situation, I had to pay again to be resent my boxes. When the DHL driver went to pick up the boxes at the door (Monday) he was asked twice if there was any document missing if everything was in order to proceed with the same as an answer, he said that everything was ok when wasn't.

Courier Point customer service by phone or by email is very helpful they are very attentive and have solutions for any circumstances delays, shipment, payments.

Excellent service

Excellent service! Very easy and straight forward. Sent parcel through courierpoint with DHL . Parcel already arrived in USA within couple of days! Will most definitely use again !

Efficient and convenient service

I have used Courierpoint twice. On both occasions collection or drop off was convenient. I was kept updated about my international parcel and I was notified when it was delivered. I was also able to follow it on the specific courier’s mobile app. It was cheaper than the other available providers and was delivered earlier than expected. I will use them again.

Yet again

Yet again, such a brilliant service. Picked up from me by FedEx at 10.30 am on Tuesday, delivered to my daughter in Calgary at 11.30 am on Wednesday. Even allowing for the time difference, that is stunning service. I am happily gloating to my colleague who posted a parcel via Royal Mail / Canada Post a full week before me and it still hasn't arrived.

Why would anyone NOT use CourierPoint?

A nightmare

I send parcels in February with this company and up to date, no one can tell me where they are. This company is terrible. Avoid it if you can!!!!

I am sorry that you have had a challenge with this shipment. It has been collected and moved by UPS on the service selected. As a reseller of branded carrier service we do not physically move the parcels ourselves and whilst over 98% of our orders are delivered without issues, unfortunately some shipments do have challenges. The greatest Customer Service experience!

I used to work for Courierpoint for a number of years and knowing very well what customer services work looks like in the background, I would never ever use any other company. My shipment to Finland has been successfully delivered without any issues, highly recommend to anyone!

“Most reliable and efficient courier in the UK”
Owner of a small growing on-line business which relies on using the services of a trustworthy, reliable and efficient courier company who can ship during peaks large volume of parcels some delicate and fragile goods at times. Can’t recommend Courierpoint enough for competitive pricing, great customer service and reliability.

I have used Courierpoint for a year and have shipped with them regularly on a weekly basis. The customerservice team are excellent and have never had any problems with my shipments .

£200 con

Was all going very well when I put the dimensions in to their website. Gave me a very good price (£23).
They appointed UPS who failed to collect the first day. Got collected second day and delivered the following day. That was 1st July.
Yesterday evening (27th July) I received an email stating they were taking an extra £189 from my account because I mislead them with my sizes.
My parcel was 1530mm x 390mm x 90mm and weighed LESS THAN 10kg.
They say my parcel was 2.4 METRES long, double the width and height and weighed 51 KILOS!
I asked them how the line driver loaded the thin acrylic sign that was the weight of my wife, onto the van on his own (even without questioning the size!).
I have photos of the parcel alongside a tape measure and a pic of it on a scale (it actually weight 6kg, so smaller than I stated).
I’ve just called them as they’ve not responded to my three emails but you CANNOT SPEAK TO ANYONE.
I will not be conned or robbed by you.
Reply to my emails and WITH AN APOLOGY, and tell me it’s over.
I will NOT recommend you to anyone. You’re a shambles.

We are not able to take any payment without authorisation. Accepting our T&Cs you have agreed to pay additional charges if the carrier assessed weights or sizes differ from those you have entered.

Please bear in mind 51 kg is the volumetric weight this has been calculated as length x width x height (cm) / 5000.

You queried this shipment last night after 7pm, it is now midday the following day. During this time you have had confirmation that we have received your query and have raised a query with the carrier. We have not taken any additional payments, only notified you of the information provided by UPS to us on what they collected and have charged us for. This gives you the opportunity to query there billing if it is incorrect as we have not seen your shipment ourselves. Our query process gives clients the opportunity to dispute any carrier records.

Since we are working on small margins, trying hard to keep the prices competitive, we are not able to cover for such big difference.

I believe the advisor you have spoken to, asked you to get in touch with the Credit Control Team. Members of Credit Control are dealing with invoice queries like yours. Be assured that in Courierpoint excellent customer service is the most important to all of us. Staff member you have spoken to, wanted to make sure that you will get all the help and information you need from the best source; they would not be of much help, not having access to separate department's files.

Competitive prices and good customer service

Delivery went smoothly using DHL through Courierpoint to post a parcel to the USA. Competitive pricing and very helpful and honest customer service.
I had previously used them to send with FedEx, who were completely terrible and returned my parcel twice with no explanation, but Courierpoint refunded me so I was happy to use them again.
