Taken over by Ripe and screwing existing customers
Craftinsure has recently been taken over by Ripe and my renewal premium has just risen 41% without any explanation or justification despite being with them for 20 years and never making a claim. That's bad service in anyone's book. Ripe are obviously looking to make a quick return on their investment and testing the market to see how much more money they can screw out of loyal customers. So unfortunately I'll be leaving Craftinsure/Ripe and going elsewhere.

We do understand how frustrating premium increases can be, particularly after many years of loyalty and a claims-free history. While Craftinsure is now part of Ripe, renewal premiums are not increased arbitrarily or simply due to the change in ownership. Premiums are reviewed based on a range of factors including wider market conditions, underwriting costs, claims trends across the industry, inflation, and changes in insurer rating criteria.
We genuinely value long-standing customers such as yourself and appreciate the 20 years you have insured with us. Your feedback has been noted and will be shared internally, as we understand the importance of transparency around renewal pricing.
