Very friend and caring staff , gave me chance to become mother after 10 years of my waiting

We were made to come in on multiple different days to complete different blood tests, wasting our time, annual leave, and petrol, rather than just doing all the tests in one as our new provider did. Our doctor was late for our initial consultation and didn't acknowledge this or apologise, and then proceeded to be very patronising. We had to pay for an HTLV test because of our "Caribbean heritage" (i.e. because we are Black), even though we were both born in this country and I have only been to the Caribbean once. Our new provider agrees this test was completely unnecessary. Create still use BMI which is a widely discredited measure of health, and is based on white males. Our new provider uses waist to height ratio which is far more accurate. Create also sent me on a wild goose chase trying to get a procedure through my GP, without sending my doctor the required documentation until I stepped in and micro-managed the process. I have written this review many times and Create had it deleted because apparently they reached out to me to verify my identity, although I had never received any such communication from them. Create have never contacted me to address the issues as they are more concerned with getting negative reviews taken down.

We’re pregnant!! A thing myself and my partner have waited for what seems forever to say and it would not have been possible without the help of Create Fertility. From the very beginning we were treated like family, reassured that no matter the outcome Create would be there to support us the entire way. All our doctors and nurses were great and made sure all our questions was answered to the best of their knowledge and reassured us they was only a phone call away if any concerns or new questions came to light. The lovely receptionists made you feel at ease and calmed your nerves just talking to you about everything and anything. Something so little but made a huge impact. Overall we would recommend Create Fertility over and over to any couple/anyone going through fertility issues as they truly made our dream come true and for that we will be forever grateful. Biggest thanks to them.

After 10 years of TTC and 9 fertility treatments, we finally got our bundle of joy with the help of Create. They reviewed all of our notes from BWH and wanted to get to the root of why embryo transfer was not resulting in a positive pregnancy, in contrast to BWH who showed no empathy and just wanted our money. Dr Felix, Dr Datta and Dr Vijay were amazing. We undertook 3 frozen tranfers with Create after Dna testing and felt valued, listened to and at ease from egg collection to tranfer. It didn't feel like they just wanted our money and refused to compete embryo transfer unless they understood how to assist with a positive pregnancy. Even after a positive pregnancy, Create still monitored me until 12 weeks. Amazing staff, amazing service, resulting in one happy mum and dad to our beautiful healthy perfect baby boy

We had kind and professional support throughout our treatment at CREATE Wolverhampton and Birmingham clinics. Despite being busy, when I spoke to staff they were always happy to help or advise. We are very grateful our treatment led to a wonderful baby boy and hope to come back for a sibling in the future!

After 12 years I welcome my miracle
baby girl in January 2024 I would like to thank all the nurses and special thanks to Dr Fliex it was a hard long journey but everything was worth it.

Bad experience

Me and my partner had been trying unsuccessfully for a family for 6/7 years upon discovering Create Fertility, due to the NHS being under pressure and the waiting period we thought we’d book somewhere as to cut the waiting time down. We contacted Create, did all the tests and we were doing our first IVF with ICSI in no time.

Onto the BAD bits…

During the egg collection, the surgeon had made my partner bleed quite heavily having “being nicked”, there was mass panic, an alarm was raised, curtains were shut abruptly and i was rushed away to sit elsewhere - not being told what had happened or what was going on. She was then put to sleep so they could fix what the hell they had done in the first place, all the time i was sat in the waiting room going out of my mind with worry. They only managed to get 3 eggs even though her egg reserve was high and we were told very good (not 100% but we are VERY sceptical that this incident is why not many eggs were collected). We only had 1 embryo to go with and that was of low quality we were told, so went ahead and had that put back and to no surprise, we soon miscarried. After that nightmare we decided to take a break as the whole experience had scared us quite badly. Now 4 years down the line we have decided to try again, contacted the NHS about the possibility of funding, they have told us that “once you have self funded privately - you don’t get any funding via NHS” and that Create Fertility should have told us this before taking our money. Had we have been told that information, obviously we would not have gone ahead.

Thanks to Create and their sly lack of information we now face the probability of not having the family that we have craved all our lives, we simply don’t have the funds. Finally, the aftercare is none existent at the place and it all seemed a bit heartless to not hear anything after what we had been through, for £7k+ i expected a LOT better care. I would strongly discourage anyone thinking about using a Create, do some research and find a better alternative. We are heartbroken.

I got recommended by a friend who had two children through CREATE (Birmingham) as I didn’t even know where to start?
we have a son already not through ivf, we had been trying for another for about 3 years every month disappointed and couldn’t understand why?!
From the first appointment I felt relaxed all the staff I came across were friendly & helpful I found out I had low eggs for my age (definitely recommend having this scan even if your not ready to start a family but to understand your own body) we was very lucky the first transfer worked and now have a healthy happy 12 week baby boy now our family is complete all thanks to CREATE

I had to write this review as I don’t want others discovering this too late.

I had three rounds of egg retrievals with Create in 2022, followed by three transfers in November 2022, January 2023 and April 2023. Although none of these resulted in a live birth, I was generally happy with my experience with Create. I felt I was in good hands and everything seemed to go smoothly.

However, after three failed transfers everything changed:

1. My assigned coordinator stopped responding to me. I sent an email a week over the course of July and August 2023 following the miscarriage after my third transfer. Each email was completely ignored to the point I thought there must be an issue with my emails. Every time I called the clinic, I was told my coordinator would call me back. She never did. This ghosting went on into September and then October. Emailing and calling the generic clinic number is the only way to contact them, so I honestly had no idea what to do when I was consistently ignored. I live two hours away from the clinic, so not easy for me to just pop in and ask why no one is responding to me. I turned 41 during these months of being ignored, so time really wasn’t on my side. I kept asking for my queries to be escalated, and eventually a manager called me and listened to my feedback, and she just said it won’t happen again. It continued though. I can’t tell you how stressful it was not knowing how to move forward. I couldn’t even just switch to another clinic as Create still had two of my frozen embryos. It was only when I started to email asking about how to transfer my embryos to another clinic that I finally got a response.

2. After my three failed transfers, I was referred to a miscarriage specialist. My doctor at Create wrote a referral letter explaining my journey with Create so far, and I took this letter to the miscarriage specialist. I’d had a hysteroscopy in September 2022 after my three egg retrievals but before my first transfer to have a polyp removed. I explained this to the miscarriage specialist, and he told me that wasn’t true – it wasn’t what my doctor at Create had written in the letter. Apparently my Create doctor had written a letter saying I’d had something completely different! The miscarriage specialist didn’t believe me even when I insisted that I’d had a polyp removed (he of course assumed my doctor knew better than me). So I had to waste more time tracking down the report from my polyp removal to prove I was right and that my doctor at Create was mistaken. I can understand a one-off mistake by my doctor, but every time I had a consultation with him after my three failed transfers, he never had my notes in front of him so was always confused about where I was at in the process, he always turned up very late to our scheduled calls (I’m sure he’s busy, but I have a busy job too). He also made fundamentally incorrect recommendations about my next steps (he forgot I had two frozen embryos left and was talking about the timings of my next egg retrieval until I realised what he meant and had to correct him).

3. Finally, the price increases were insane after I’d had three failed transfers. My first three transfers cost £1,750 each. For the exact same procedure for my 4th and 5th transfers, the cost jumped to £2,195! That’s over a 25% price increase in 12 months. At first, I assumed it was general annual price rises (I get their costs go up), but 25% increase felt extortionate. I just had to pay it though.

Overall, I can say there was a clear and sudden change after I had three failures. I get that Create is a business and I must make their numbers look bad, but they’re dealing with people’s lives, so it was horrible to be dropped the way I was. I think if you’re a good patient and your transfer works, I’m sure you’ll have a great experience with Create. But if like me, you keep failing, be prepared to be treated badly. Next week I’m having my fifth transfer with my final frozen embryo, so I’m relieved that my journey with Create is over and I can move to a different clinic if this transfer doesn’t work. Awful experience.

From the outset on arrival, Lydia the receptionist made me feel so welcomed and that we mattered. The nurses couldn’t do enough for you and all of the paperwork being online made things a lot easier to use.

Create clinic were amazing! The staff were so kind and supportive throughout our journey. I can’t thank them enough for making our dream to have a little one come true. I would 100% recommend Create Birmingham.

CREATE were very supportive through our IVF journey and were very good with communicating with us. We are so so grateful that our treatment was successful and we now have a beautiful baby girl.

Absolutely atrocious, how they are still able to operate is beyond me. We were never assigned a patient co ordinator, it’s been almost a year since our initial consultation where we were told we needed more tests, these were completed 3 months ago and sent by our GP, who Create have ignored simply saying they are “working on it”, Create have told me that we still need tests and haven’t got results? No one will talk to us by the way, twice promised phone calls that never came. You are just left feeling less than human and with no where to turn. I wouldn’t wish any of this on my worst enemy. Held off writing our experience because I feared it would go against our treatment but it doesn’t feel like we will ever get any treatment

Create consultants and staff were honest and realistic about the chances of my treatment working from the start. But I believe they came up with a treatment plan to enhance my chances given my age (42 when I started treatment). Luckily for me the advice they gave me regarding Sperm donor requirements and PGTA testing was absolutely worth the additional wait and costs. My daughter was born following one successful round of IVF and one frozen implant after PGTA testing.

The embryologists were amazing explaining the science and giving me all the information I needed to select the embryos to send to PGTA testing.

Fantastic service throughout our treatment. Birmingham clinic had accommodating staff and the environment was always spotless.

Really wish I didn't have to give them 1 star - as I am currently a patient there, but I have missed 3 cycles because they cannot get their ducks in a row. Nurses do not call you back when they say they will, the laboratory misses tests, they charge you twice for things, they even missed the window to send me urgent medication even though I asked 3 different people to do so in the same week - they only give you one phone number to call and pass you onto the poor receptionists, whose fault it is not! And we have just barely started and I feel stuck with them. So if you have any other potential options, please do explore them!

Thanks to create for supporting us, staff members were polite and helpful. We had succeed with FET.

Staff were all really warm, friendly and welcoming. Treatment and tests were explained fully and we were listened to. We felt fully supported every step of our journey and all our questions answered.
