worst bank in the world
My application for a mortgage was…refused without a good reason
My application for a mortgage was refused straight away whilst it was accepted in another part of France-Mayenne-.At first when I asked why ,they refused to explain and then when I said I would complain ,an employee called me back showing he was not aware of my application .When I said that and -certainly was shown my application by a colleague started to find several reasons to refuse .
The first question I was asked was what I was thinking about doing in the house I want to buy ,and this question seemed very strange .I was asked as well by another employee whether I had family in the area.
I still have solved my problem with my mortgage but won't use again this bank in Le Cateau Cambresis. and would not recommend it.
The worst application I've seen…
The worst application I've seen compared with other banks , very slow , server is always down , also the website isn't complete to be used you can't make any kind of credentials and not useful at allllllll , I don't advise anyone to deal with this bank or even their applications

It is a good bank but once you have a big amount on the credit agricole they make it impossible to transfer on line though all conditions are met.
I have ongoing issues for 18 months…
I have ongoing issues for 18 months with this bank, they told me to F* Off back to England, I ask copy of CCTV, refused. Police requested it, saw video no volume. This is the most unfriendly bank I ever came across. Want to sell my house and leave France.
Very bad banking services and support
Very bad banking services and applications.
My money is always blocked . The support doesn't read the messages and act like if they are speaking to a dummy child.
Never think to deal with them
They treat me as if I'm a stupid child
They treat me as if I'm a stupid child. I'm 65!!! Why can't I transfer my own money to a Notaire who is based in the office next door to the bank without providing a full copy of the Compromis?
Last week I had to write a handwritten letter to pay my tax bill. Do they think I'm being scammed by the tax office and the notaire? What reason can there be when I have sufficient funds? I'm appalled
Cannot transfer money abroad excpet in…
Cannot transfer money abroad excpet in person. Given the complete run around by indifferrent staff who aren't interested in solving the issue. Having to clos ethe account just to get the money out. You have been warned!!

Been let down again send emails no reply if staff are of sick why are others not taking over and dealing with important problems my fault I can't speak French but emails were sent to English speaking staff don't no what happened with this branch.they won't even phone my English mobile worst service ever still not resolved tried calling today for assistance in English I no there are staff there that i can speak to but told they were sick or on holiday
0 for CA programmers
Mobile application so badly programmed it lacks any logic, intuitiveness, in fact any bloody use at all. Typically French, it couldn't be more complicated and time-wasting if it tried.
Worst bank around.
I've been with a lot of banks and this is by far the worst. They are out of date for a start. Slow, administrative procedures. Forget who the client is. Bad customer service. Bad phone app. Everything takes weeks they are so slow. Will charge you right and left for stupid things like 10 euros because they send you a letter. Avoid. Also they invest in unethical trades with your money.
DON’T GO HERE
Late with transfers, my conseiller seems to always be on holiday. They keep harassing to change my address and every time, I tried to change it. My conseiller is on holiday or he isn’t bothered to change it.
I recently received a cheque from my old employer. I’ve never dealt with a cheque, so an employee from CA guided me through the process. After a week of waiting for my cheque (which was the amount of my wage, so I really needed it!) I still haven’t received anything on my account. I went to the customer services and they said that they had lost my cheque!
They needed the cheque number, amount of money and date. I had to go back to my old employer, who thought it was very fishy that I claimed that my bank lost my cheque. The first question I got was ‘how can a bank loose a cheque?!’.
I’ve given the bank the information for the cheque, and up till now, I’ve received nothing. They blamed me for filling in the piece of document for the cheque wrongly and that’s why it’s lost. I told them that I filled in the document with an employee and then they claimed that the machine must’ve not recognised the numbers on the cheque.
This is the third time, that I’ve needed to take money from my savings as I have bills to pay. If I’m only slightly in the red. They completely block my card, fair enough, but it isn’t fair when they fail to transfer MY money on time!
Really bad service!!!
Really bad service!!!! Totally inefficient, and they make you go to the branch several times for the same transaction. The bank should better train its staff and be more transparent in the information about the services they offer.
10 days on transfer and still no funds
I have been with credit agricole for 10 years and they were good; but they have changed their rules and procedures... no more.
I had to do a transfer to buy a house, 10 days later after the initial demand and many messages they still blocked the funds and transferred the money too late. The contract was broken and the purchase fell through.
Thanks credit agricole for the worst most unprofessional service I have seen anywhere in the world.
Terrible services
Terrible services. Pay monthly for assurance juridisque, but when you actually need this service they do nothing. Banking in the UK is 100% superior. Credit Agricole charge for this and charge for that, but don't offer anything more than what you get for free in the UK. Absolutely awful.
Poor customer service
Poor customer service . Pls avoid and look for better alternatives.
I would have given them 0 if it was…
I would have given them 0 if it was possible not even 1. Simple things like changing your address or having a new card due to the loss are incredibly difficult do to. In addition, if you wish to send a document to change your address from your account on ligne, you may send only to your Conseiller and no one else, and if you are unlucky like me beacause your Conseiller is on maternity leave, there is no way you can send it to someone else. So, stay away from this bank, I am looking for other banks, will leave CA for sure!!
Sucession bank fees.
My mother had all her accounts in the Credit Agricole.
She passed away on the 1 of january 2022. I contacted them for the succession process. They want to charge nearly 700 euros (based on the total amount left in various accounts) for this process Some tasks they are not obliged to do because the notaire will do.
I told them i am not happy with that, taking into consideration my mother was with the bank for many, many years. So this is the way they thank her. I complained and they said this is explained in the general term and conditions updated every year. A real joke.
As if everybody is going to check those specific fees before leaving this world!!
Totally indecent to charge money like that after the client death. This should be regulated.
I complained so much (to the directeur) that they offered me a 150 euros discount so to speak. I should not have to negociate like that during such circunstances.
I have been a customer for more than 20…
I have been a customer for more than 20 years of the Credit Agricole Centre Est. Since they changed all the team at the local office, it's becoming a nightmare. I have issues on a weekly basis, it's time consuming, they don't take customers' calls, they are so poor, rude, interrupting the customer, non professional, it's just awful, I plan to leave this bank.

Had an excellent experience at Credit Agricole Centre Est. I thank in particular Mr Bosredon for his top notch professionalism. Would certainly recommend them.
