Reward eventually comes (but you have to follow up)

I have participated in 2 of their credit card sign up rewards. Both times I had the credit card approved but had to follow up within their specific time period (not too early AND not too late). The reward eventually came both times. However, I am annoyed that I have to follow up in order to recieved the rewards and I would be concerned about missing the timeframe to follow up with them.

Real cash but a bit of processing wait time

Use it to apply credit card, was approved by the bank right away but cash genius cannot recognized I was approved even though I followed every step and was approved instantly. I have to wait 4 weeks to submit ticket and waited 2 and a half week to get the cash. Happy to get it eventually though but the process couldn’t be improved.

Reliable, quick payout

Their web site shows the rebate status, it invites us to create a ticket when we don't see any progress for over 4 weeks. I filed it, it took only 2 weeks to conclude their investigation then sent me the rebate. I recommend.

It is a scam

It is a scam. I applied for a credit card on the website. I was approved. They did not want to give me the 225$ promised on the website. I created a ticket. I gave them the reference number. The guy told me I did not gave the reference number. He is a liar. I gave the information on the ticket message.

Don't use this website!

First time using CreditCardGenius and Never Again!

First time using CreditCardGenius and it was aweful. No cash back was registered automatically so I had to create a ticket to chase it. It took close to 2 months to get resolved.
Also, CreditCardGenuis and GeniusCash are the same. They try to lure people to use their app with almost double cash back; makes you wonder what data the app is stealing to justify the double reward.

Sometimes we don't receive this confirmation from the bank automatically, and manual investigation is required. We must send the customer's information directly to the bank for a manual approval. There are various things that the bank and/or the affiliate network needs to validate such as approval status, that you're a first time cardholder for that card, that the application was started from our site, etc. Unfortunately, the manual investigation time does depend on the bank and it is outside of our control.

We've just checked on our end, were able to confirm that GeniusCash for this offer was sent on 2025-07-24 via Interac. If you have auto-deposit enabled, please check your transactions for a deposit on or after this date.

Disappointing Experience with Cashback Process

While I was approved for a credit card application through CreditCard Genius on the same day I applied, it took over three months and multiple follow-ups to receive my cashback. I ultimately had to send a strongly worded email to get any action. Meanwhile, my husband applied for the exact same card and received his cashback within five days. The inconsistency and delay were incredibly frustrating.

Very slow process

Very slow process. The following is what the competitor website did.

"If your application reference number ends in "A" or "W", please file a ticket for us after your approval".

So there is a bug in the BMO credit application website.

We can see that you submitted applications on July 2nd, July 3rd and July 10th. We've just checked on our end, were able to confirm that GeniusCash for the offer claimed on July 2nd was already sent on July 10th via Interac.

For the remaining applications, if you haven’t received your GeniusCash and it's been 4 weeks since your application date on our website, please head to your creditcardGenius dashboard or GeniusCash dashboard to create a ticket for each offer. This way, we can get your info sent directly to the bank for a manual investigation. Please keep in mind that each card/account application is reviewed separately, and being approved for one offer does not guarantee approval for others. Each bank evaluates each application individually based on the specific Terms and Conditions for that offer.

Aside from being approved for the card, there are other application eligibility requirements that the affiliate department considers, and there’s a variety of reasons why an application may not be eligible for GeniusCash, such as not being a first time cardholder for this card, application being linked to another affiliate partner, not providing correct information, among other reasons. This confirmation is required in order to pay out the marketing incentive, as per our Terms and Conditions.

Misleading Bonus Offer – Feels Like a Scam

I applied for the Tim Hortons Mastercard specifically because it advertised a $100 sign-up bonus. I was informed that Credit Card Genius can take several months to process these bonuses, so I waited patiently.

Now, after months of waiting, I’m being told that I’m no longer eligible because too much time has passed? That’s completely unfair. I shouldn't have to chase down a reward that was clearly promised as part of the offer.

I’m extremely disappointed with how this was handled. I won’t be using this service again, and I would strongly caution others—this feels like a bait-and-switch.
