While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more
To protect platform integrity, every review on our platform—verified or not—is screened by our 24/7 automated software. This technology is designed to identify and remove content that breaches our guidelines, including reviews that are not based on a genuine experience. We recognise we may not catch everything, and you can flag anything you think we may have missed. Read more

Reasonably easy to use but be warned. You can only delete companies on your watchlist one at a time, which is a major pain, so you slowly accumulate a lot of companies. They then charge accordingly.... See more

Excellent value and professional service
Excellent service at a value price. Simple Credit Checks can be made quickly.

Slow to update
It's generally a helpful service but the data can sometimes be weeks behind reality. We had a restaurant owe us money that closed - we knew that and acted on it. It took 6 weeks for their credit focus rating to change.

This company is actually taking money out of my account without permission
This company changed its debit name to commission and I had no idea they were still taking money out of my account.I thought that commission was bank charges. I have contacted them five times this week and no one has responded and they are refusing to stop my debit. In fact, I cannot even trace back from which part of my account the debit is coming from!!!!! It is not from a current account. Disgraceful

Quite limited functionality
Could do with an option to download recent accounts.
There are no ratios available such as Acid Test, Liquidity ratio, etc.
Company searching (for a new credit report) is clunky and unreliable.
Sometimes searching existing customers does not show the company and you have to request a new credit report which then advises that it is an existing customer. This workaround does let you then see the customer.
Clicking on Directors does not show you other Directorships for that person.
There are multiple entries for some non-limited companies. These often have different ratings making it hard to work out creditworthiness.
If you try to sort by Credit Score on the opening screen all the N/A customers are listed first. As only 7 companies are shown at a time it's a laborious task to go through the screens to get to the low scoring companies.

It's "okay"
You don't really get much out of the service.
The info can be found at companies house, freely.
It does show a credit score which is slightly indicative of a company's status however I find it has no bearing on the real situations. Probably as they rely on tainted data so not their fault.

CreditFocus
The service itself is good but what I don't like about it is the fact that they have been unable to provide an invoice prior to taking the money out of the account. This is very unusual. Why can't they issue an invoice prior to debiting like anyone else?

Excellent Software
For the money it's worth it. It pays for itself the first time you credit check a company you were going to give credit to.

It's not bad but...
It's not bad but some of the information is lacking some depth and clarity. I don't know if, with legislation changes, the amount of information available is restricted but I quite often feel that there should be more detail to help me make decisions on how to treat possible new clients.

Effective source of information but could be easier to use
Useful source of reliable information
Layout and usage could be much easier to use, although that may require a rewrite of the software?

Highly useful
I always use it before entering into a commercial relationship with a client.
I've given it 4 stars as there are some metrics such as number of staff which don't show any data so i'd question the value of it as it's misleading.
