Everything was perfect.Great guides,hotels,restaurants and things to see.The tour was very well organised and nothing went wrong. I would recommend Cuba Travel Network to anybody who wants to see Cuba,which is a beautiful country The tour was great value for money.

My Cuba visit with the help of Cuba Travel Network

I visited Cuba from 17 December 2019 till 11 January 2020.

When I was engaged in planning my trip I received a lot of useful tips from your staff by telephone in Amsterdam. Then when I was deciding on my final trip proposal I even received a very helpful phone call from a member of your staff from Havana. The telephone conversations convinced me I was making the right decision to book with Cuba Travel Network.

Then when I arrived on the plane from Madrid at Havana airport I was picked up by your agent after there had been a very long wait for the luggage to show up. On my first morning in Havana your host manager was very helpful in the advice I received for my stay in Cuba. Although this was not my first visit to Cuba – my first trip had been in 1990 with my wife – I very much appreciated the trouble he took to review my plans with me and to advise me on what to do and what not to do in Havana.

He maintained contact with me and contacted me about my onward journey and the flight to Santiago de Cuba. I was informed almost at the last minute about the necessary change in plans for the flight that Cubana had made. We had to fly via Cayo Coco and then continue by road to Santiago. The journey by bus was terrible with many stops to eat on the way and lasted nearly 12 hours! But this was not the fault of Cuba Travel Network, as I had been informed from the start.

On my arrival in Santiago de Cuba the agent there was again extremely helpful. He also gave me very useful tips about I ought to do when I went to the Sierra Maestra. We picked up the rental car together. Also, as I was myself not in the best of health myself it was great to have him by my side for the first day. On my last night in Santiago and when I had to return the rental car, he was again by my side, so that everything worked out perfectly.

During my last week in Havana the company’s team was again enormously helpful and friendly when I visited your office, when advising on places to eat and also on keeping me up to date on the final transfer to the airport in Havana.

Indeed when I look back I realize how advantageous it was for me to have your company behind me during the time in Cuba, even when things didn’t work out OK, as was the case with the Cubana flight to Santiago which had to be changed at the last minute.

Untrustworthy travel agency with very slow response rate & giving out wrong information regarding flight availability. Forcing you to book both flights & hotels with them for no reason other than greed.

I contacted Cuba Travel Network to plan a trip to Cuba for our party of eight people (2 families). While we have traveled extensively, it was our first time to Cuba and we were a little concerned about visas and embargoes and so we decided to work with an agent to coordinate parts of our trip.

What Went Well
We worked with Amanda for all of the planning, and it could not have been a better experience. Amanda is very knowledgeable, super friendly and very communicative. Amanda listed closely to our preferences and crafted the ideal itinerary for us. Amanda kept in touch as our departure date approached, sent us updates and generally kept us informed.
We did have a few guided tours, and every person we worked with was well informed, on time and friendly. We had an extended road trip for a few days and we got to know our guide quite well.
All of the hotels were great and the vehicles clean and well equipped. No issues at all.
One nice touch was the VIP escort upon arrival at the Havana airport that saved us time going through immigration and customs. It was a nice touch.

What Could Have Gone Better
Even though we booked months in advance, it was the peak season and we had some difficulty getting rooms at our preferred hotels in Trinidad. We settled on two nights in Cienfuegos, but there's not much to see or do in that city, and we ended up driving to the National Park (and back again) to hike in the mountains outside of Trinidad. It was a small glitch in an otherwise perfect trip.

Overall
I would highly recommend working with Cuba Travel Network in planning your trip to Cuba. And if you can, work with Amanda who is amazing!

We spent 14 wonderful days in Cuba, thanks to Amanda at Cuba Travel Network. She arranged for a variety of accommodations and experiences for us and helped us better navigate the new travel restrictions for Americans. Most of all, she connected us with outstanding guides who, in candid conversations, gave us insights about what it's like to be Cuban. We normally travel independently and make our own arrangements. This was nice because all we needed to focus upon was having a good time. We've been to over 32 countries over the past 45 years, and Cuba is one of our most favorite.

We made a 14 days Cuba round trip with a rental car.
Cuba Travel Network arranged for us private transportations, accommadations, sightseeing, like an Oldtimer trip through Havanna etc.
The team was excellent and created for us an unforgettable trip !!

Very well organised trip. All guides were punctual, extremely pleasant and highly knowledgeable. Their spoken English was very good. We thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of our visit. We particularly enjoyed meeting the owner of Nostalgic Cars and the day trip to Viñales provided a pleasant contrast to the hustle and bustle of Havana. All in all a fantastic visit!

I have no hesitation in recommending Cuba Travel Network to anyone thinking of travelling to Cuba. Amanda was our main contact. She listened carefully to our ideas and gave us excellent advice when devising our tour. Needless to say it was totally bespoke according to our wishes. She kept in regular contact over the months of planning and we had lots of phone calls and emails to update us, ensuring we were able to make the most of our 16 days on the island. Amanda was aware of our tight budget and stuck to it.

When we arrived at Havana airport we were met by the VIP travel
co-ordinator who guided us smoothly through Cuba’s red tape.
This attention to detail continued throughout the tour. Every transfer was on time and all the drivers were polite, helpful and we felt very comfortable and safe.
All our tours were guided by experts, friendly guides who spoke excellent English and were flexible with the time enabling us to make the most of our excursions.
The hotels chosen were always well appointed and clean. We were given excellent advice on where to eat in Havana and as a result ate some fantastic food here.
Our itinerary included 4 days in Havana, 1 night in Las Terrazas, 1 night in Vinales, 2 nights in Cayo Lavisa, 1 night in Cienfuegos, 2 in Trinidad and finally 3 night at The Royalton in Varadero where we enjoyed a well earned rest before returning to reality.
If you are considering travelling to this fascinating country I would not hesitate in recommending Amanda and her team

The staff were very friendly and professional is answering our queries. We especially appreciated that the local ground member were there to welcome us at each of the city (where they have a local office). Each of the member provided us with some local tips that were very helpful. Floor was especially helpful and lodged a formal complaint when she found out that the automatic car that we booked was not available, and we were given the manual car (cheaper rate). We had a wonderful experience in Cuba thanks to the professionalism of the staff. We would highly recommend their service for first time travellers.

Also Floor their representative in Trinidad who was also most helpful with her ideas about the many interesting things that one could do and see in Trinidad and the surrounding area. I particularly appreciated that she took the time to come and see me in my 'casa particular' to discuss things. The casas suggested by Amanda were excellent and the hosts very friendly. Planning the whole trip from the UK was made easy by the quick and detailed responses from Amanda to all my email questions...everything was great; the airport collection, the casas, the internal transfers, the suggestions about where to go and what to do...and the comfort factor knowing that the Cuba Travel Network followed up and confirmed all the various bookings they made for me was for me a big plus. Cuba Travel Network planned an excellent trip to Santiago de Cuba and Baracoa for me. I have to specifically thank Amanda Maitland. Amanda helped me with the planning process from beginning to end. She provided excellent suggestions and helped calm any doubts or nervousness that I may have had throughout this process. Have faith and a little bit of patience with them. From the minute we stepped off the plane to when we stepped back on the plane we experienced the wonderful hospitality of Cuba and its people.
Our friends ( from the UK) and us ( Australia) were treated with the utmost respect by everyone. The professionalism of the company in its arrangements of our tours, guides and accommodation was of excellent standard. Everything went so smoothly.
We loved all the experiences and could not have wished for more. We hope that many more people have the opportunity to visit this wonderful country and have the experiences we had.

Amazing time thanks to CTN!!
From arrival to depart, CTN was there to assist us. The whole trip went very smoothly, transfers, car rental, hotels, perfect! In the hotels we got the best rooms and as we departed very late and we were travelling with two children CTN even managed to get us a free late check out in our last hotel! We loved Cuba and we certainly will go back! Thanks Alexie, Manolo and Floor (and ofcourse the rest of your team) for making our trip so wonderful! We will certainly come back!
