Tim had a career as a Flight Test Engineer primarily testing Jet Fighter and Heavy aircraft for the UK MoD prior to turning his attention to his long lived passion for baking and has since never looked back. Unable to deliver on time
Couldn’t deliver on the timing that they suggested would be possible when I booked and paid. Called me after my delivery slot to inform me that delivery wouldn’t be possible for atleast another 5 hours. Had to cancel the order.

I appreciate that my order was last minute but I don’t think I should have been offered a time slot if it couldn’t be met due backlog/ traffic etc. I thought the service that I was paying for was for that kind of speedy delivery. Had I known this was not possible when I made the order I would have tried another company that could offer delivery within a few hours. I was refunded very quickly and had no issue with that.

it's a shame we couldn't deliver your order yesterday. Your order was placed very late considering you placed the order about 13:30 for delivery at 15:30 same day delivery.
This is a pretty tight window, and we had a backlog of orders placed prior to yours which unfortunately we had to prioritise.
Your delivery postcode was also over an hour drive from us given the time of the day and central London traffic.
We try our best to help last minute orders like yours, however sometimes your order has just been placed too late for the time you need it delivered.
Furthermore, all our cakes and cupcakes are baked freshly on the day, and we did not have any prebaked ones that could have been sent out to you sooner.
Someone from our CS team contacted you as soon as your order came through our system to inform you of this. We also processed you a full refund immediately as requested. I appreciate your disappointment but, in this case, we couldn't do any more to help your tight schedule.
Once again, we are sorry, we couldn't help this time.
If you would like to discuss this any further, please do not hesitate to give us a call. We hope you will give us a try again some other time.

Issues with delivery timeslots - cancelled order
EDIT AFTER RESPONSE: Just to be clear here, I have no knowledge of where your offices / pastry shop is based and how far away they are of a given address. The way the website is designed, allows you to pick very specific timeslots (so this might need to change if these are not achievable). And yes, I confirm that you did offer me an alternative timeslot. Instead of my original 3pm slot the timeslot was 5 hours later, at 8pm, and at which time the birthday person would have been already out having birthday celebrations. Just to tell the whole story. One more detail: I did initiate the order earlier than when you got this but got confused with the option to pay by 'vooch' and save £5. I had to research this company, see how legit it is etc. before even placing my order. So I didn't really expect that you bake and deliver the goods within 20 mins, originally I was aiming for a timesloot 1 hour after the order.
ORIGINAL MESSAGE: I ordered a birthday gift for same day delivery - a balloon and 6 cupcakes. £40 total, which was probably the cheapest price around. However, later on that day I was informed that the delivery would need to take place later than my originally indicated time, as there were issues with the timeslots (which might have been outside of their control, but unfortunately I'm rating based on the overall experience and service).
The birthday person wouldn't be at home at the newly indicated time, so they did cancel and refund my order. No issues with that at all, however I ended up not giving the birthday gift in the end, therefore I cannot rate with more than 2 stars.

Thanks for your review. You placed an order at 13:47 to be delivered for a 14:15 slot on the same day to a postcode which is over an hour away at best.
Although we try our best to fulfil all orders, we cant always do this especially in extremely short time frame except of course we are not too busy. We tend to prioritise existing orders on a first come first serve basis and in some cases due to backlog, we have to rearrange a different time slot which is what we did in your case.
We offered you an alternative time slot as soon as we realised backlog was packed and offered you the option of immediate refund so you can explore alternatives should you wish to. You chose the option to refund which is what we did.
Unfortunately in this case we couldn't meet your order as you left it too late in the day. We strive to provide the best service and in your case , that was the best we could have done.
Once again, we apologise you feel disappointed.
