We do however check in from time to time to ensure no customers had issues and if they have we do reach out to them and we expect this to continue under Ares. CUSTOMPC.IE ceased selling components and accessories on the 30th of September 2024. All custom desktop pcs , laptops , servers and workstations with warranty have been transfered and all customers have received new contact information to ensure they have even better support than we have been able to provide over the last 15 years. Custom Computers and Technologie Limited is no longer involved with CUSTOMPC.IE We would like to thank our loyal customers in Ireland and everywhere else and we would like to ensure all of our customers are aware that they have support from A.C.T. who have sent emails to all customers providing new support information and details. Our decision to cease selling components and accessories came from this being a service we started in 2021 to assist customers impacted by the rules change with regards Brexit in January of 2021. This service was never intended to be in place for 4 years. Unfortunately we had to cease providing this service after consultation with our core customers and we provided 120 days notice of the end of component sales. The transfer of CUSTOMPC.IE was never intended to take place in the same year however we felt this change would ensure continuity and better support across Europe and in ireland for our customers who had purchased custom pcs , laptops , servers and workstations. Component and accessory sales were reasponsible for less than 20% of or sales however 80% of our support tickets were from this 20% and this had impacted the level of support we could provide to the many customers who relied on us for support for their workstations , servers , gaming pcs and laptops which is why we took the decision to cease selling components and accessories. The opportunity to ensure a better level of support from our core customers came about as an added bonus and we could not refuse the opportunity given what this meant for our loyal customers. Support is still available direct at CUSTOMPC.IE and through the normal emails and we do not believe this will change given there was an undertaking to ensure the same email addresses were to be live for at least 12 months. The CUSTOMPC.IE brand is not part of the ARES Group and we expect the brand be taken to new heights by ARES.

Shane , Please accept our apologies for the delay with your laptop. We did upgrade your laptop to the 2024 model as the version you ordered had become End of Life and this was unfortunately the delay with your order. You received both a processor upgrade and the laptop you received also came with an RTX dedicated graphics card. We did not apply any extra charges and this done as a gesture however I can see that our sales team notified you of the upgrade before shipping rather than to contact you earlier to ensure you know of the delay and for that I can only apologise and assure you this was our mistake and it should not have happened. I do hope the extra performance from the laptop shows you the respect we have for our customers and when we have an issue with an End of Life product we will always look for a solution which offers our customer a better specification no matter the cost to us. Please accept our apology for not offer you an update earlier in your order process. This should have happned and I will investigate as to why it did not happen. The 10 Business Days is an Estimate and not a definative timeframe as stated on the website and in your order confirmation email. The estimated eta would have been the 07.02.23 and clearly we failed to meet this estimate with you laptop not shipping until the 13.02.2023. There was 21 days between order and shipment which is not standard and as i have explained the delay came due to the ordered laptop now being End of Life. There was also a new bank holiday thrown in which did also add a day but this does not explain the 6 day delay. Again this was our error and I can assure you it is not normal for such as delay. The vast majority of custom desktop pcs and laptops are built , designed , tested and shipped within the 10 day estimate but there will always be exceptions and unfortunately with your order the delay came from the EOL model ordered which required us to consider the best solution and this did add time to your order. The fact the new laptop model was not available or even released when you placed the order on the 23.01.2024 did mean we could not order the chassis to build the custom laptop as the new model did not become available until the 01.02.204. I hope this explains the reason behind why there was a delay and again please accept our apologies and I hope you have good experiences with the upgraded laptop which now has a dedicated RTX graphics card which means this laptop is capable of gaming and 3D rendering which the original laptop would not have been. I do hope these upgrades are of use to you.

I am delighted with my new Ryzen 7…

I am delighted with my new Ryzen 7 gaming PC. CustomPC were very helpful in reconfigure my system because of the choice of components I picked. They ran me and offered to upgrade a couple of parts to improve my performance. I would encourage anyone who wants a gaming PC to buy it from CustomPC.ie.

2 sales enquiry emails goes unanswered

It was a concern when I tried to phone Custom PC and found that that they don't take sales enquiries over the phone.
I wanted to add 2 additional HDD and a SD card reader to a machine and couldn't find an option on there site.
I sent an email via there contact form and got no answer. I sent a second email from a different account and got no answer to this either.
I did however get an email from them indicating the 'support ticket' issue was resolved and they were closing the ticket.
If this is how a sales enquiry is dealt with I wouldn't have faith in a support enquiry.

If you have placed an order you have a direct access to our support staff through your account. If you can please provide your order number we can offer more assistance. Please note that once a CUSTOM PC order is placed we cannot make changes which is why there are multiple stages before the order is completed. We are however reasonable and if we can make a change we will but it would depend of the ORDER STATUS as should the PC already be build or in testing making changes is not practical for either party. Site does not work properly, horrible customer service

Site didn't properly function. Subtotal was less than the total of the item, and when ordered vital computer parts were missing that I definitely did select.

EDIT: After reviewing CustomPC responded here saying I didn't place an order on their site I made this edit. Very useless feedback as I most definitely did but PCZONE just assumes stupidity saying you placed yor order somewhere else. This isn't a thing, you can't select PC parts and whatnot on Humm and I am not braindead and definitely selected everything on their own site. HUMM is just a payment method.

To clarify a little further, when the order was placed on the pczone website upon reviewing the "order placed" tab the computer was missing a CPU, hard drive and some other parts. That's how the final amount being charged was considerably less than what the parts selected were shown to be worth and not some 10% discount.

The fact PCZONE doubles down on their site being perfectly functional instead of addressing its critical issues makes me relieved I cancelled. Dodged a bullet for sure.

Yes the SUB TOTAL will always be less than the TOTAL for a purchase as you will have VAT in IRELAND @ 23% and a delivery cost which will make up the TOTAL. You also did not place an order on our website and you were in fact on the HUMM.IE website which I assume is where you got the SUB TOTAL. Humm do have additional charges for finance and you would need to discuss this with then. Your order total received a discount of 10% which was shown during checkout and it on our order documents. The SUB TOTAL is €1759.42 minus 10% Discount €216.41 + 23% VAT €359.26 plus delivery and insurance of €23.99 which gives a total due of €1921.25 Including VAT , Delivery and Insurance. Did you receive different information from the HUMM.IE website when applying for finance ? Please email accounts@custompc.ie and we will ask HUMM to investigate on your behalf. I do however not see a completed application with HUMM however they should be able to find this with your phone number.

Really great. Would recommend

I ordered the PC on the 31st (they were back on the 3rd), the PC arrived today. They fulfilled the est. delivery time span. The packaging was great, a lot of safety precautions. The PC looks great. The cable management was good. They upgraded the SSD from 256gb to 512gb for free. All drivers and the windows was already done even though I didn't select it. I would definitely recommend them. They also left a haribo gummies pack in the PSU box which was really funny.

Shane , You placed your order on the 31st of December 2023 at 15.34 which was a day we where closed due to the holiday. It was stated on our website that order placed on the 31.12.23 would not be processed until the 04.01.2024. You ordered a special order item which was a Dell Monitor and this item had a stated delivery estimate of 10 business days from the day the order was processed. We processed your order on the 04.01.2024 and shipped your order on the 15.01.2024. I am sorry you are dissatisfied with the delivery time but please understand this was a special order item which was heavy and could only ship to Ireland by road and sea which is why the delivery ETA was stated as 10 Business days from date of order processing. We cannot import this type of item into Ireland using next day air freight due to the weight of the product as this would add €50+ to the cost of the item. We have over 1000 products available for next day delivery on our website in our Next Day Range including over 40 Monitors. We try to give all customers the choice between fast delivery and specified special order items. Your order was for a Video Conferencing Monitor which is not a stock item in Ireland and unfortunately never would be as the order volume for this item is small which is why we had it listed as a special order item. Again please accept our apology for any confusion but we do try to make sure all customers are aware of delivery ETAs for all items which is why the information is on the product page and in the order confirmation email.

Ordered online 10 days ago. Items were shown in stock and still no sign of my delivery. Money was paid on order and despite trying to call several times and emailed twice I cannot get a reply. I am very disappointed and wont be dealing with you again. I cant even get in touch now to get a refund and go elsewhere. It is a disgrace that you can carry on like this.

I have a better understanding of the problems with your order. The order was held for a Security review on the 4th of January 2024 which is the day we returned to work after the holiday. Our sales team organized for the monitors to be shipped to our facility in Carlow ( the original estimated ETA for a monitor is 10 business days ). Only 1 of the 2 monitors arrived into our Facility in Carlow and our support team contacted you offer a similar Samsung monitor to replace 1 or both monitors as they did not know if you were using the 2 monitors with 1 PC. You informed them that you then wanted to cancel the order as you were unhappy with the delivery time frame. This was still with our accounts team as it seems the delivery address on the payment card did not match the address on the order. The sales team could not have changed any aspect of the payment given it was already under investigation which is why the order is still showing as PROCESSING. Our accounts team did report to the merchant processor that the order has been cancelled by the customer when our sales support contacted the customer. At that point the payment review is with the payment processor and the card issuer. Why the order is still showing as PROCESSING I cannot tell you but what I can tell you is that the issue relates to card security and I will send you an email and we can discuss this offline as for GDPR reasons I cannot continue this conversation on a public forum. I would point out that we do not advertise a phone number on our website as we ceased phone support almost 9 years ago in 2015. All support is through our support teams who you can contact for example through your account. I would also point out that a customer can cancel an order and generate their own refund by logging into their own account. I think here the security review created issues from day one and for information on that you would need to speak with your bank or card issuer.

Very happy with the gaming entry level…

Very happy with the gaming entry level PC I bought for my daughter she is over the moon and I liked that they had put a company pen and a pack of Haribo also came with all the booklets for the different components. I wasn't expecting a light up keyboard and mouse so my daughter is very happy with it.... I recommend custom PC highly

Mauro , We do not sell products which are not in stock. You ordered a Gigabyte RTX4060 Graphics Cards and you paid using an offline payment method ( HUMM ). Between you placing your order and us receiving payment from you the item you ordered was sold. We then informed you and placed an order with Gigabyte for the item you ordered. We have many RTX4060 cards in stock here in Ireland however you ordered an RTX with 3 Fans which is not a standard card given almost all RTX4060 cards have a maximum of 2 Fans which we also explained to you. When you place an order using an offline payment method such as HUMM Finance we cannot process the order until you have completed your application with HUMM and we have been paid for the order. As it states on our website HUMM is an offline payment method and this can add 2-3 days to the delivery time of an order. The main disadvantage however with using HUMM as a payment method is that we cannot process the order until we have received payment. We therefore do not recommend using HUMM for components and certianly not for when there is only a single item of a component available. It is not possible for us to hold stock or release stock until payment has been received and with Humm orders this can add 2-3 business days to the order. Humm do provide this information to their customers and you will also find information stating this on our payment information page. You placed this order on the 27th of November 2023 at 13.27 and we shipped to you ont he 21.12.2023 with DPD.ie. We updated you on the 29.11.2023 and you requested that we proceed with the order. We explained that the delivery ETA was going to exceed 10 business days given the vendor Gigabyte had no stock and we offered multiple alternative RTX4060 cards however you wanted to wait for the triple fan version. We placed a special order with Gigabyte and a card was sent direct from their factory to us in a very short period of time and we continued to update you and shipped the card on the 21st of December.

I am sorry you are unhappy with the delay but please understand this delay was 100% related to the payment method as the payment method HUMM is an offline payment method and is in fact primarily used by customers who are placing orders for custom pcs and laptops and not components. Due to security procedures as well as payment not being completed during checkout Humm orders can take 2-3 days longer than normal orders paid using a debit or credit card. I also need to remind you that the security delay with this order came from the name on the order differing from the name on the HUMM Application. This put us in the position of having to provide additional information to HUMM manually before this order could be processed. It is likely HUMM contacted you to get verification of the name on the order. Placing an order using HUMM is not like paying with a debit or credit card and there are security protocols in place which makes the HUMM payment slower to process as there are manual steps. Your order had the additional issue of the order and application names differing which forced us to take the additional step of contacting HUMM for verification before the order could be processed. Our security protocols are in place to protect our customers , Humm and ourselves. Our staff did everything in their power to ger you the triple fan RTX4060 you wanted and we were able to do this only becasue Gigabyte in Germany were able to ship the card direct from their factory in the Far East to us here in Ireland in a record time. Under normal circumstances a special order such as the card you wanted could take 8 to 10 weeks. Our commitment was to ensure you received the RTX4060 Triple Fan version before Christmas and we did that for you and kept you updated. Please understand that this was outside of our control becasue of the payment method and on top of that a triple fan RTX4060 is not a standard card. We are here to do everything possible to help.
