It's an activation key, not much to report. Downloaded DaVinci Resolve Studio and then activated with the key, no issues.

I have used the free version for a while BUT the STUDIO is even better and worth every cent, As a Stock videographer - I like the object removal, Magic Mask AI etc. tough to do in the free. AND there is a lot more to the STUDIO Version

Davinci Resolve Studio is of course amazing and I have no complaints about the software. The way I had to get a key, however, was... extraordinary. I didn't realise I could get a key online from Blackmagic since it directed me to resellers, so I bought a key from CVP. What I also didn't realise was that they wouldn't be sending me an online key - instead they would be sending it via courier, so I would have to wait a few days to unlock the Studio features. Annoying, but OK. With some fanfare (courier delivery messages) a medium sized cardboard box arrived (see pic). Wow - must be a nice big manual in there! No. Inside the box was mostly air, and a large folded-over envelope. Inside that envelope was a smaller envelope. Inside that was a shrink-wrapped card sleeve. Inside that was a plastic card with the 25-digit serial number to type into the software. Wow. Then I got bombarded with requests to leave a review, so here it is. The process is completely bonkers and wasteful. This is 2024, folks! There should at least have been a key emailed to me in addition to a physical parcel. And Blackmagic could have made the upgrade from the free version easier, e.g. from the package itself instead sending me scooting around their busy site. Anyway, rant over, I have it, but how preposterous is this whole method of purchase - and its implementation with a cardboard box, 2 envelopes, and a courier service.
Wonderful. Nothing else to say about this software. And future updates are included in the price.
