The most amazing experience of my life…
If you're looking to complete a C2C then look no further, Cycle Britain were amazing! The attention to detail was outstanding, nothing was too much trouble, Alan was very helpful during the booking process and throughout the whole tour, the trip was fantastic value for money you really could not ask for more from the guys at Cycle Britain, they have everything covered. Alan and Alex really looked after us on the tour and gave myself and my dad the most amazing experience, I would definitely recommend Cycle Britain for any cycling tour / experience to anyone and will definitely use them again in the future.

Fred Whitton Tour
In July last year, I joined one of Alan's group cycling tours, tackling the Fred Whitton Route over two days.
Before the start of the tour, Alan was in regular contact with the tour participants in order to communicate details, ensuring that all were well-prepared and equipped, but also clearly outlining how we were all to be kept as safe as possible in view of the pandemic.
Mid Saturday morning the adventure was to start. Once we were all congregated and briefed, with all luggage and provisions packed in Alex's van (Alex took charge on the first day of accompanying us in a van ensuring our safety, (Alex and Alan swapped roles on the next day).) we set off on what would turn out to become an epic ride. Not only was the weather kind with us, we were well-led by Alan as well as guide Mike. Supported by Alan's, Alex's and Mike's cheerful and supportive nature, we tackled mile after mile. Fuelled by stunning views as well as regular food and drinks stops with what seemed to be never ending supplies dished up by Alex and Alan, we emerged ourselves into this experience we all sought for different reasons and with different goals, pushing ourselves and encouraging each other at the time, all enjoying being part of this ride with this group of riders. So day 1 passed. With the last pass for the day tackled, we rode to our hotel, a stunning former hall in the middle of the countryside with amazing views, which offered great food to refuel and luxury accommodation to rest for the night. Refreshed and re-energised, we re-started on our own Fred Whitton experience the next morning to master the last two (and hardest) passes to conclude at our starting point. Although we were physically and mentally stretched by the route, it was amazing, leaving all participants wanting to do the ride again at some point in the future with Alex and Alan. Without the work and commitment they had put in, we might have had a different experience. Fortunately for us, we had the above, which was fab. I still think fondly of this weekend, often revisiting my photos. Thank you, Alan and Alex.

A great experience in the Lakes …
A great experience in the Lake District around a well planned route. The itinerary was set out very well. All the service points were well set up with an interesting variety of refreshments. Plenty of photos throughout the event
High standard hotel in beautiful setting.
Very good value total package. Will join another event if I can maintain my fitness.

Indredible ride with awesome views, proffessional support and fantastic camaraderie
I have always wanted to ride the Lands End to John O’Groats route but kept putting it off as it seemed a daunting commitment. However Alan Little invited me to do just the last 3 days with him ie the 3 Scottish legs, which sounded more manageable
I joined Alan at Edinburgh along with my two friends JP and Helen to do his last 3 days of the LeJOG ride with him, riding the entire length of Scotland
Each day we rode around 100 miles, with a food stop approx every 25 miles provided by Alex in the support van
We were treated to magnificent views, awesome scenery, exhilarating descents and top-class hospitality.
Organisation was extremely well done and the entire trip ran flawlessly.
My favourite part of the route was in the Cairgorms National Park, following beautiful river valleys, old military roads, delightful forests, and even Balmoral castle.
The further North we went, the wilder, more beautiful and more remote the landscape became.
The scenery was spectacular, each day the route taking us further north alongside more magnificent lochs and quiet country lanes
A tough climb up to the Glenshee ski resort rewarded up with stunning views, and the descent from here down to Braemar was fast, exhilarating and well-earned.
Each night at the hotel we at huge amounts of food, had a couple of beers and a much-needed rest.
At every evening meal we were all chatting enthusiastically about what an awesome day we had experienced, swapping stories, viewpoints and experiences of an epic, memorable and gratifying journey.
Arriving at John O’ Groats we had covered almost 350 miles, climbed over 15,000 ft of ascent, and burned around 18,000 calories each.
I highly recommend this trip, and will certainly be booking with Cycle Britain training again, but next time I will ride the entire route!
