I had a faulty Western Digital MyCloud 6TB drive (Manufactured 2018), it wasn't able to communicate with the case. They disassembled and rebuilt from a new donor drive in their clean room, a lot of work all explained by a lengthy report and some supporting photos. Unfortunately this could not recover the operation to working and my data was lost, you pay for the work regardless of outcome and there is no guarantee of recovery. I've now moved to a RAID solution which is comparable to the money I spent on the failed recovery. Lesson learnt.

Data Recovery Specialists 100% recovered the data on a broken hard drive. Which was a total relief when all my precious photos weren't lost forever. Still, there was a slight negative to the service. I found them to be rather pushy and impatient. So much so, It made me feel uncomfortable at times. For this reason, I would look elsewhere in the future.

Excellent service from a thoroughly professional company. Polite and attentive staff, prompt response, informed of progress, simple procedure to have your data recovered. Recommend to all.

Good fast service. Filled in an online form on the web site in the evening and received a phone call the next day offering a free DHL Express collection for that afternoon. Data Recovery Specialists got the hard drive the next day and I received a report within two days saying what data was recoverable. Jason Murphy phoned me several times keeping me up to date on the recovery process and how successful the process was likely to be. Overall, I cannot find any faults about what Data Recovery Specialists have done.

No data recovered. DRS costs a lot of money. The free assessment will always say they can recover the data but you must spend a lot to recover anything - or nothing in my case. So I suggest more honest assessments would be helpful.

DRS were very attentive and communicative. I received everything I needed from my old hard drive. It’s costly but a very particular and effective service!

Loss of data is a horrible position to find yourself in when years of memories could be lost forever. I spent some time researching suitable firms after a local hardware specialist informed me my 2TB external hard drive was not powering/spinning up and recommend I find a "data recovery specialist".

The process of getting my hard drive to DRS was smooth, and they kept me informed throughout. I was horrified at the cost of recovery - prices start from around £300 alone, but tend to average between £500 and £1,000 depending on the issue(s) - so it's a position I hope to never find myself in again which is why I now pay for more storage on a monthly basis and I've transferred all the recovered data into the cloud.

DRS were able to recover all my data and they returned it to me on a new 1TB hard drive which is better than my old hard drive because at 1TB it does not require an external power source.

I would use DRS again, but I hope I never have to *lol*

I've used Data Recovery Specialists a couple of times now and each time their communication and response times have been excellent. Their team have achieved >95% data recovery for me. I would highly recommend them and will use them again should the need arise.

Gave them £1140 for nothing, great communication until I'd paid then shocking. Wouldn't recommend

I wish to express my dissatisfaction with the services provided by Data Recovery Specialists. Despite spending a total of £1700, the files recovered were comparable to those recovered from standard DIY recovery software. The company's initial scan, priced at under £200, yielded minimal results. While the staff exhibited a high level of professionalism, friendliness, and responsiveness initially, the situation drastically changed after an additional payment of £1500 was made.

Following this transaction, the company's communication became inconsistent, characterised by unresponsiveness and a lack of acknowledgment regarding my request for a detailed report on the work performed. This lack of transparency and professionalism is deeply concerning.

In conclusion, I am profoundly disappointed with the level of service received from Data Recovery Specialists. The discrepancy between the initial engagement and subsequent interactions has left me with a negative impression of the company's integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction.

I took my hard drive to this location, I spoke with Daniel about recovery my data and he told me he can fix hard  drive and recover my data, I transferred £2500 in advance, but after one weeks with suffering with this company, they told they failed to recover the data and they don't want refund my money, and they damaged my hard drive,

It's completely different company with bad reviews, and i check this company on trustpilot  under name

And lots of people warning it's scam,
I found multiple accounts with bad and good reviews to manipulate new customers,
New illegal scam, they gave big hope of recovery my data and they know they can't recover my data  back, they just want to take money.
And Data recovery Specialists original company not fair to send me to different company with bad reviews,
I spoke with both companies they refused to refund my money.

I sent off a hard drive which had been dropped (whilst still spinning) using the no win no fee service. The hard drive was picked up prompty and a report generated within a few days. The report suggested the drive couldn't be fixed so it was returned, all for free. Whilst the data on the drive was lost, we didn't occur a fee for this service. We have another drive to repair and I'll be sending that one off soon.

I had two orders, first one approx 50% of data been recovered. On the second I had been given an assurance that it would work, paid the money and result was 0% data recovered. Im glad at least some data are recovered, but trying to explain to specialist that its only 50% of data off HDD, they would not want to understand what I was talking about. Generally I would NOT recommend to use this service.
