Our Philosophy

At Daylesford, we’re dedicated to growing, producing and cooking seasonal, organic food. It must be fresh, and full of flavour, packed with the many vitamins and minerals that come from natural food, picked and eaten at its peak.

As part of a mission to reverse the industrialisation of our food and the pollution of the land that nurtures it, we practise organic, sustainable framing with far less pesticides and herbicides on our crops. We do not use artificial growth promoters and hormones on our animals, and maintain the highest welfare standards.

Above all, we believe that when people eat natural, organic food, they can taste the difference. It’s a chain of goodness that begins with healthy soil, and finishes with healthy animals and people.

Our Farmshops

From high-quality larder staples to indulgent treats for special occasions, our farmshop shelves are full with fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables from our organic Market Garden, artisan bread made by hand in our own Bakery, award-winning cheese from our Creamery and fresh organic meat from clover-rich pastures.

Our Homewares collections are made by makers who are as passionate about sustainability, quality materials and elegant design as we are to create one-of-a-kind items for your homes and gardens, from the softest linens to the signature scents of our home fragrance range.

Our Cafés

Our organic cafés are the natural showcase for what we do on the farm. Here, our chefs make our produce the star of each plate, with seasonally changing menus and daily specials highlight what’s good to eat right now.

Stylish but expensive

Beautiful looking buildings and very neat and tidy shelves, although the site overall seems rather disjointed and doesn't flow well.
We found ordering coffee and cake a strange process as we had to queue up three times to be able to order and pay.
It feels like the kind of place to go to for a look around rather than to buy anything - I didn't see many visitors leaving with shopping bags! It's a place for people way wealthier than us - my husband looked at a plain grey sweater - £850 and I looked at some clothing in the half price sale - knitted waistcoats were still £325. Even the jams, chutneys and the like were far more expensive than other farm shops.
We have friends who love it there but I don't think we'll become regular visitors.

Wonderful experience!

The moment I step out of the car and breathe the Daylesford air I feel revitalised! I love the shops, garden plants, food and especially the wine!

Really cheap food

Really cheap food. Couldn't believe how much things were. Lots cheaper than Aldi. £5 for a loaf of sourdough bread barely bigger than a matchbox is an absolute bargain I'd say.

Beautiful place

Wonderful, fresh organic produce and all beautifully displayed. Although it was very busy, it was still a very pleasant experience looking around the farm shop & home shop. The staff were friendly & very helpful. Would definitely return..

Retail heaven

Nice meal. Nice service. The dressing on the greens very tasty. Chicken not dry. But I had the sardines as a ‘nibble’ £12. In the shop the same tin is about £6. So a bit of sourdough toast and a few leaves adds a lot. This cutesy tin of sardines offering is not what I expect. I had it once in Copenhagen. It was annoying then too. Daylesford is a beacon of healthy good taste and a retail leader. Mrs B should be advising the government on retail growth. 😁

Service in the wine area was fantastic…

Service in the wine area was fantastic (as ever). However, trying to get served any sort of pizza was a herculean task. Staff repeatedly were zombie like in avoiding eye contact and generally preferring to do anything other than speak to (let alone serve) a customer.

Very enjoyable 1st visit to Daylesford Cotswold Farm

We live an hour from Chipping Norton, so while there with family on Friday I agreed reluctantly to make the extra trip to Daylesford, having never had any desire to visit before. I've rarely had such a pleasant suprise! The only part I can talk with any knowledge or detail about is the garden centre - which I didn't know they had, but overall I was blown away by the overall investment the family must have made to build and develop such a beautiful site. Immediately on entering the garden centre I could see the manager checking out each row of plants with an assistant, attention to detail. The range of perrenials, shrubs and small trees was excellent, and I didn't feel that prices were inflated, especially as there were several examples of particularly mature plants in larger pots. I'll return on a day trip soon just to shop for plants. There is so much to see here, and the site feels spacious and comfortable, with plentiful parking.
