Our Philosophy

At Daylesford, we’re dedicated to growing, producing and cooking seasonal, organic food. It must be fresh, and full of flavour, packed with the many vitamins and minerals that come from natural food, picked and eaten at its peak.

As part of a mission to reverse the industrialisation of our food and the pollution of the land that nurtures it, we practise organic, sustainable framing with far less pesticides and herbicides on our crops. We do not use artificial growth promoters and hormones on our animals, and maintain the highest welfare standards.

Above all, we believe that when people eat natural, organic food, they can taste the difference. It’s a chain of goodness that begins with healthy soil, and finishes with healthy animals and people.

Our Farmshops

From high-quality larder staples to indulgent treats for special occasions, our farmshop shelves are full with fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables from our organic Market Garden, artisan bread made by hand in our own Bakery, award-winning cheese from our Creamery and fresh organic meat from clover-rich pastures.

Our Homewares collections are made by makers who are as passionate about sustainability, quality materials and elegant design as we are to create one-of-a-kind items for your homes and gardens, from the softest linens to the signature scents of our home fragrance range.

Our Cafés

Our organic cafés are the natural showcase for what we do on the farm. Here, our chefs make our produce the star of each plate, with seasonally changing menus and daily specials highlight what’s good to eat right now.

Took a long time to get the wifi…

Took a long time to get the wifi working. First tried logging in via Facebook, lots of adding details. Then to verify says go onto another device to confirm details! I have used the one device I have with me. To go on the Facebook app you need to close the page to confirm your new log in, then when you go back to the original site… it has closed! So can’t log in. If you log in via the form, so many details to log in. I’m getting wifi, not applying for a new bank account. Make it simpler. You made this way too many details to get online. Over 10 mins to register. I used it because the normal phone signal was bad so takes so much longer to go through the add to wifi process

Delicious lunch

The manager and the waiter couldn’t have looked after me better after a frazzled journey. Delicious lunch and the charming waiter charged my phone for me.

I visited to shop and have lunch …
Ordered a pizza and I have to say it was one of the worst pizzas I’ve ever eaten … I left most of it!… your pizzas used to be lovely … what happened?

Organic Chicken

Purchased a free whole range organic chicken yesterday. It lacked the flavour and taste that we expected from a product of this calibre. We've had better overseas in Australia and Thailand at half the price. Even Aldi free range corn fed chickens taste better. Very disappointing.

So glad to be living near Daylesford…

So glad to be living near Daylesford where dairy, eggs and meat are produced with the welfare of animals first.products carefully sourced too.the hedges to die for.contrast daylesford with the panorama programme ‘ the milking cow’860 Holsteins milked twice a day by 5 men without a care for cattle or merino sheep on huge ranches in Australia, fois gras in USA and France, the list is endless, don’t watch the videos it’s too upsetting, just feel happy when you’re at Daylesford eating a lunch for £20 couldn’t be better.
Couldn’t be kinder.

Stylish but expensive

Beautiful looking buildings and very neat and tidy shelves, although the site overall seems rather disjointed and doesn't flow well.
We found ordering coffee and cake a strange process as we had to queue up three times to be able to order and pay.
It feels like the kind of place to go to for a look around rather than to buy anything - I didn't see many visitors leaving with shopping bags! It's a place for people way wealthier than us - my husband looked at a plain grey sweater - £850 and I looked at some clothing in the half price sale - knitted waistcoats were still £325. Even the jams, chutneys and the like were far more expensive than other farm shops.
We have friends who love it there but I don't think we'll become regular visitors.
