DBS Bank is a very bad bank
DBS Bank is a very bad bank. If your money is deducted even once, they create a lot of drama and don't even refund your money. First, they said I had a zero balance, then they imposed a maintenance charge of 10k. If you don't maintain your account, they will deduct your money and won't even return it. So, it's better if no customer opens an account with DBS Bank. They have very poor facilities.
Theft merchants?
I wanted to purchase an item from a company in Hong Kong and I had to do a US$ money transfer to their DBS Bank, Hong Kong Branch. I followed their instructions to the letter. I used a well known and respected foreign exchange company to do the transfer and the transfer was successful - up until DBS decided to question the transfer on grounds that I still don't understand.
DBS refused to let the transfer proceed. After much to and fro, it took me a month to get my money back and in the process, DBS extracted US$150 in, what I guess were, fees. No explanation was given for the loss of funds. It's as if they just stole the money.
So, I will never, ever, send any money to a DBS bank account again. Just woeful.
Irresponsible behavior
Dear Sir/Madam,
My name is Mohamed Ibrahim, I am 15 years customer in your purasaiwakkam branch and I have a gold jewellery stored securely with your bank. Currently, I am working overseas and unable to return to India to collect the jewells. For this reason, I authorized my mother to collect it on my behalf.
However, it has been over one months since my mother first attempted to retrieve the jewells. During this period, the bank staff has been consistently rude to her and has failed to provide clear answers or guidance regarding the gold jewells.
Today my mother senior citizen 70 years old waiting in your bank in 6 hours for loan closer
This behavior is unacceptable, and if it continues, I will be forced to escalate the matter to the authorities.
(This type of staffs is shame on your bank and damage ur bank name)

Very disappointed with Dbs handling on Treasure account holders, from unlimited access for private lounge & limousine service
Drop to 4 times a year. Worse is no notification at all & even terminate the joint account holders without informing.
Only realised when we visited the lounge & realised that you cannot enter the lounge.

The branch I am talking about is the Singapore branch and the app related. This is the worst bank app I have ever encountered. It took me an hour to set up the initial registration, even with the help of the relation manager. Even with the help of the relationship manager, after an hour, I still cannot register. Not to mention that I have already spent one and a half hour staying in the bank in person to set up the bank account. It is totally absurd to spend another hour just to sign in some thing that have already been done in person in the bank. I think the IT department should completely revolve in order to improve that service of this app
Pathetic Service and False Promises
They called me and offered me a free dbs super card which I never needed but they kept pressing on it and the fact that it is a completely free card. I still never used it. I never even set the atm pin. After a year they unreasonably charged an anuual fee complaints to which were only received after multiple calls and email. However they took so long to respond and reverse the amount that it got an additional late fee and it’s been again 2-3 months that I have been calling them again and again to reverse the charges and close the card and they always ask me to wait for 5-7 business days and nothing ever gets resolved. They are not closing the card nor reversing the amount. The customer service is pathetic and so frustrating to go back and forth to get one simple task done. Never get their card or be a part of this bank.

Very worst customer service. They are responding to customer query. I have paid my personal loan amount and there is some excess amount that they need to refund me.. but it's already more than one month still they haven't refund my money. Even when I tried to chat with customer service they say my issue is under process. Need to wait for few more days. I really feel bad to do banking with them.

DBS bank claims safest and first bank of Asia. The experience is contradictory to their claim. I get same messages’try again later’. No reason! When I called, employees who responded were poorly trained and selected guys. They don’t know anything how to resolve issues so asking me something or other rather than doing something to solve problems. Then said you transfer some funds to any account there is bug in our system. I did that too. Wrote emails but nothing moved. Every mail asks same thing but nothing on problems. Hopeless third grade bank. Harassing and torturing customers rather than solving problems. Advise not to open with this bank, open local bank.

THE MOST DISGUSTING BANK I've ever banked with.
Have held a credit card with them in Hong Kong over 2 years, automatically reject my credit limit increase requests despite providing them the income proof, asset proof,etc... I then raised countless complaints with them , but they never respond to you in a formal way, hoping probably to wait out the complaints. They would rather call you and give false promise that they are looking into the credit limit request, but they get you rejected in the end without any reasoning. This is the most disgusting bank I have ever banked with , avoid them like the plague.

Worst banking experience. People are helpful...to within the scope that they are allowed to operate in. However, the systems are not customer friendly. I set up a business banking account and from day 1 was unable to use internet banking as the 2FA unit they gave was not properly synced. The checks would be rejected even though the account was properly funded. The bank card they issued took multiple tries to be properly initiated.
To fix ANYTHING I was required to visit a branch.
Communication was very poor. Fast for the initial acknowledgement of your email but their followup was almost non existent which turned out to be very painful for us as the dependencies that relied on their response cause multiple issues.
Avoid like the plague.

I asked before closing a case from UP do I have any other case at that time they are saying no only 1 case. After closing that case they are saying you have one more case. Avoid DBS !!!! I Don’t feel safe having my money on a DBS bank account -
I am facing a fraude Issue with my DBS bank account. I am trying to get someone to help me solve this. I talked to over 10+ persons on the phone and left a few messages on the online platform but no one seem to know what to answer to me.
During my last trip to Europe, I noticed 29 transactions made in Malaysia (total amount SGD1560). Those were contactless transactions. Note that my DBS card and my phone were with me.
I request a refund, no one seems to know what to answer to me and avoid the issue.
Today I don’t feel safe having my money on a DBS account as the money can disappear, with no response and action from the DBS team.
Good check and balances for high transfer
Made a transfer to fund an investment account. Due to the recent rise of scams, DBS actually had someone call me on my mobile to check if the transfer is legit and if I am under distress.

The systems and processes are so rigid that if your banking needs are any amount more complex than the narrow range of six or seven things that the product manager there imagined someone would ever need to do in their lives, then DBS bank is completely incapable of handling it.
I experienced headaches opening an account. Headaches closing an account. Frequent closures of online banking - apparently this rickety thing needs more maintenance than my old condo.
Don't get me started on the huge queues at the bank branches (which close at 5pm by the way, I can only assume they do this because they think most of their clients are unemployed...?).
And if you need to contact them for help through their non-functioning chatbot, clear your schedule and prepare for frustration.
I went to clementy for activating account of my helper. After half an hour staff asked the intention of visit. It took more than 3 hours. In India service is much better & faster.
