A great experience!

I ordered the Monza sofa after viewing it in the showroom and was blown away with the level of service provided both in store and online. They kept me updated from start to finish… when the sofa did finally arrive the delivery men were nothing but helpful! They helped me move my furniture and carefully put the new sofa together. I can’t fault DeluxDeco!!!

Wait very much worth it

Wait very much worth it. I had seen reviews complain over the wait-delivery time, we were also trying to justify the length of time it would take. However, we have received the sofa and could not have made a better decision, we ordered an Italian sofa and the quality is beautiful. Staff-Delivery was great too, assembled by the team. in the end, glad we waited.

We ordered a Base Leather 3 seater sofa…

We ordered a Base Leather 3 seater sofa from Deluxe Deco in September 2015. We had visited the showroom, and although they didn’t have the specific model on show, we were taken to look at a similar model. We were given information regarding the differences and were told that the seat and back cushions were removable. We were also told that some parts of the sofa were not real leather, but a PVC that was matched to the leather and was ‘generally’ only the rear and sides of the sofa. As it was going to be against a wall, that didn’t bother us too much, but there never was any formal confirmation of exactly how much of the sofa was NOT leather.

The sofa was delivered around early December and the first thing we noticed was that although the back cushions could be removed (they are attached with Velcro), the seat cushions were fully attached to the base. We did query this with customer services, whose customer ‘service’ was very poor, and they eventually responded to advise us that they had never told us that the seat cushions could be removed.

We have now had the sofa for just over 6 years. We have looked after it extremely well. We have cleaned it and treated it exactly how we were advised to do so. We do not have children or pets that could potentially damage the sofa. Yet for the last couple of years, the state of the sofa has deteriorated so badly, it’s an embarrassment in our home.

Not only is it clear now that the majority of the sofa is NOT leather (as can be evidenced by the state of the ‘material’ and the fact that it is now a different colour to the parts that are leather, the PVC has torn in several places and the seam stitching on one of the arms has also frayed (where leather meets PVC) and this isn’t even a part of the sofa that is sat on! The leather itself is still in extremely good condition, so it’s such a shame the entire sofa was not leather.

We thought we had bought a good value piece of furniture. Turns out that the saying ‘if something seems too good to be true, it probably is’ is correct. I would wholeheartedly urge anyone considering a purchase to quickly think again before they part with their hard earned cash. We have now had to purchase another sofa, something we shouldn’t have even had to consider for quite some years to come.

Would have liked to have included pictures of the damage, but do not appear to be able to.

Dear Customer, we are sorry to hear of your sofa degrading as you describe. All the wearing parts under normal usage are top grain cow hide leather and extremely durable material. The other parts (non-wearing parts under usage circumstances) are synthetic leather which should not degrade. We no longer deal with this supplier and in fact we have many ranges which are full leather however the costs of these are commensurately higher due to the cost of natural leather. From all our hundreds of customers who purchased this range this is the first report of this nature. The product we sold was excellent value for money and we would offer a resolution if we were in contact with the maker. If you are interested in any of our products in full leather, we are happy to offer a very good discount, should this be appropriate. Sincerely regards Delux Deco.

Well worth the wait!

They took a while to arrive, but my cinema chairs are finally here and I couldn't be happier. Exactly as I expected, well made, zero scuffs or scratches and delivered and installed by friendly, professional people. Amazing!

Bad experience - avoid!

Purchased sofa in January 2021. Sofa was delivered with delay in June 2021. On the delivery was highlighted that sofa was damaged (cracked). We were offered repair. We had to wait 6 months to get replacement part arriving in shipment from China! Technician was arranged to perform repair (arranged by DD shop). Technician advised that there is different type of material used in replacement part sent and did not recommend fitting…! when I chased it with shop I was then challenged by rude advisor, that I refused a repair and advised that should not listed to technician as they “say things”! Unbelievable… I am still chasing shop to get my sofa repaired! Nearly 9 months after delivery and 13 months after placing an order! Poor service and lack of respect to customers…

We took steps to order the replacement part which was an exact match to the material used on the sofa you have ASAP. The process takes time and due to its size it had to be shipped and cannot be couriered. We have called you to explain that the material looks slightly different when stretched on a sofa or when loose and that this is the nature of the material. The repair was therefore unnecessarily refused, and you were ill advised. Leather grain always varies slightly and cannot be the same part to part, exactly. Because you refused a repair, we then must order the material again which is delayed because it is a 3-week Holiday at the factory side. Apologies however this unavoidable. We have already re-ordered the part again and we will take care of this in due course. Best Regards Delux Deco.

Good quality sofa

Good quality sofa, just as we hoped for. Would recommend visiting their store as staff were very knowledgeable on products, definitely helped us decide based on our image.

Will never use again,order - 100013370

Having ordered a two seater recliner for over £1700 in July,it arrived on the 14th December,absolutely unacceptable,customer service is shocking,all I was ever told was...it's not our fault,we were told when ordering we would receive this at the start of November so got rid of our sofa to make way for the new one,then spent over a month sitting on hard kitchen chairs,usual stuff was spouted,Covid,brexit etc yet friends of ours bought an electric recliner 3 piece suite from another retailer AFTER us and received it last month.
The manager wrote a rude reply,with no apology and his spelling atrociousand this is a manager,he said we couldn't get a refund or any compensation,because? Yep....it's not our fault,we'll,it isn't mine either and at the end of the day,THEY had our money and we had nothing,to top it all,he said as a good will gesture,we would get some free leather care cleaner,did we get it? I'll let you all guess for yourselves,they may be great when things go smoothly for them but when they don't be prepared for bad customer care and I've just read some of their replies to unsatisfied customers and it's always defensive,like the customer two from me,we had delay after delay,ive NEVER had such a bad experience from a company,if they have such delays,their delivery time needs to be amended on their website and stop blaming customers for writing bad reviews

Apologies your product is late.

After looking into your order it does appear this was late by several weeks however we did keep you well informed and in good time by email and SMS. We outlined the reasons with explanation and in detail. The order time on your order is 10-16 weeks and we never advise in advance when customers will receive the order other than on the order confirmation. There is no email on our ticketing system nor system order updates to indicate 3rd November. Removing your old sofa was your own action.

These reasons are entirely beyond our control and related to Covid 19.

We are unfortunately subject to international supply chains and all companies importing goods have occasional delays with some shipments. This is as a result of pandemic related issues with materials, staff shortages due to the pandemic, unexpected outbreaks, problems at the ports due to congestion and shipping delays. We cannot anticipate these as by their nature they are sporadic and isolated.

We therefore cannot be responsible for such delays however we do our absolute utmost to minimise these at all times. Some customers may be affected on some orders and we always keep them well informed.

It is not possible to change the outcome of these delays during these extraordinary times and we do not offer compensation for delays which are an act of god.

This departure is a late departure due to delayed incoming vessels from another location, which has been further compounded by severe congestion at the port. Unfortunately, there are now indiscriminate logistics delays on departure and during the sea voyage which are due to the pandemic/increased demand, and regrettably beyond our control. This is affecting the whole global supply chain system. We have an ETA (estimated arrival time) for this shipment of 11th December. All going well it will be with our delivery partner a few days later and they will contact you at this point to arrange delivery. However, we have recently experienced delays transporting goods from the port to the delivery partner due to the shortage of UK Heavy Goods Vehicle drivers. This is not affecting every shipment and we are booking the transportation as early as we possibly can to avoid delays. Worth the wait

We purchased universal cinema seats and violin sofas and after a long wait we can honestly say would not hesitate in buying again from Delux Deco. The quality and aftersales service we have experienced is exemplary. Don’t hesitate or buy anything elsewhere, you won’t be disappointed in the slightest.

Very poor customer service

Very poor customer service. You will spend lot of time emailing them with responses super delayed or no update. They have chargeable number. Sofa delivery as per contract was max 15 weeks. Due to leather issues initially, they delayed whole shipment Received sofa after 19 WEEKS.. after such a long wait the sofa had edges torn.they Arranged for homeserve repair which came after weeks and then they mentioned it will be done by manufacturer. Trying to email delux deco but absolutely no response and standard message manufacturer will look into.NO compensation provided and no updates u can ever receive.

Leather is a natural product and on this rare occasion due to pandemic related supply chain issues the specific colour chosen was not available. We communicated that immediately and another was chosen. You had the option to cancel the order at that point. We delayed nothing and the goods were sent as soon as practically possible and we have responded to all your 23 emails with adequate explanation and in a timely fashion. Delays are due to supply chain issues related to Covid 19 and Brexit which therefore allow us some leeway time to deliver your goods which were later than 15 weeks. These delays are beyond our control. As to the unfortunate need for a small repair Homeserve repairs are a separate company and this is the soonest slot available. I feel I must write about our…

I feel I must write about our experience with this furniture company. Having looked at many websites for a Matt Black Floating Wall unit, we found Delux Deco. They only advertised the units in grey or white matt. I enquired whether they could accommodate us with matt black, which they said they could. We travelled from Kent to Windsor to visit the showroom. This was in June this year and we ordered the unit, having to pay approx £100 more for the bespoke matt black colour. We were told that it would take some 2 to 3 months and we paid our deposit of one quarter of the price. We came away very happy and excited. To explain, we are having extensive building work done and our builders were preparing for the delivery of the unit. They have papered and painted in preparation and all the appropriate electrics and fittings added taking into consideration every measurement that was supplied to us, (to incorporate hidden plugs etc.) We made several calls for advice along the way. We did not suspect anything was wrong…
About 9 weeks into the period since we ordered the unit, my Project Manager asked me to get an update of a more realistic date that the unit would be available. I rang the showroom but was told to email into the support team. The reply I received was devastating ..it read “We have been waiting for quite some time for the outcome of discussions with our supplier regarding the manufacture of custom Ikon units. Unfortunately due to the global demand on raw materials in the current climate they have substantially increased their prices to the point where they have doubled for custom made units. Prices in all industries are now highly inflationary and this has a knock-on affect for the consumer as a result.

Unfortunately we are not able to offer this custom product at the original price as it is simply not viable. Please accept our sincere apologies for this situation and we will of course refund you as soon as possible.”
Nothing was up for discussion…..Had we not asked for an update, we would still have been unaware.!
Whilst I can appreciate that these are ‘testing/difficult’ times, this company offered us the goods at an agreed price back in June for this custom built piece of furniture and pointed out to us at the time that as it was a customised order an extra £100 would apply to the cost and that the deposit was non-refundable. We agreed on these terms.
What we cannot accept, when told of the situation, was the attitude of the company literally telling us on the phone, “what do you expect us to do!!!!!.
At first he had no intention of even offering to help pay for the increase.He then said that we could pay another £200 and he would get back to us when he had found out the new timescale. Subsequently he sent another email to say that he could not continue with the order… the deposit has been refunded to us.
This is why I have to post this to make future customers aware.
We now have to find another unit to fit over the area that has been prepared for that unit!!!
I have been married for 43 years and in all that time we have bought many items of furniture we have never ever been told that we would need to pay double for something that had already been ordered at an agreed price, with no thought of how we might feel.

Although I would like an end to this entire unfortunate experience I feel that I cannot leave deluxdeco’s response unchallenged.
At no time did the employee show any concern or empathy in his dealings with us. In fact he only said that he was sorry after I commented that an apology would be nice. His method of dealing with the situation was to go on the defensive. At the point of ordering the cabinet we were informed that we could not cancel this order or we would forfeit our deposit. It is ,therefore,somewhat ironic that deluxdeco cancelled our order. Had I not taken the time to check on the delivery of this cabinet I wonder when I would have been told. A quick curtesy call by way of a forewarning might have shown good customer care.

I fail to understand the “chicken analogy”. If you go to buy chicken and they havent got any then you cant buy any - its a simple as that . Also he mentions that the company will continue offering customers the cabinet in white and walnut, but I think he must mean white and grey. Clearly he needs some knowledge of product availability.

I have no intention of commenting any further on this matter and will certainly not be changing my original opinion as stated in my first review.

Thanks for your review.
We are sorry you feel the need to publicly review the situation when the reasons for cancellation of your order are squarely a result of Covid 19 and Brexit.
Just as chicken restaurants have no chicken and supermarkets shelves are empty and shipping companies are having massive delays, your custom single order is no longer possible as the factory are simply too busy to now do any custom work. Demand outstrips supply, labour is short and material prices are escalating.
These factors are beyond our control and not within our power to change or affect.
At the point you placed the order this was not the case otherwise we would not have taken your 25% deposit.
This affects Ikon unit’s custom made only from Europe. We shall continue to make these units in white and walnut as a standard item.
Initially the communication from the factory was that it may have been possible for a further cost, then subsequently this was not possible. This took place at 8 weeks when we were placing the orders for custom items. The factory that make the goods are within their rights cancel this if it’s not economically viable.
The order process was explained whilst in-store when you visited. We issued a full refund within days of us becoming aware of the situation. We also called and fully explained the situation and apologised. We have acted 100% responsibly to you as a customer but unfortunately we are not responsible for events beyond our control, simply. You review however is therefore unwarranted. Regards Delux Deco.

purchased the Camargue from delux deco

purchased the Camargue from delux deco, quality and look is superb. However, when assembled by the delivery team it was slightly damaged, emailed and called delux deco who placed an order for the replacement piece immediately. Luckily the damage (indent on arm) wasn’t very noticeable and so could get away with it for the time being, staff were understanding and apologetic, otherwise would be 5* :/

Good Product awful service.

Good Product (5 stars), Customer Service 1 star. The Customer service is so bad it makes me want to dry and I won't actually sit on the furniture it has made me hate it so much. If you want them to threaten you with terms and conditions and have an argument then use this lot. They will be happy to oblige (after about a week of not doing anything). I am surprised you claim to not know who I am, as I told you I was going to leave you a review. You must have a lot of people telling you you are going to get a bad review in that case.
