First time using this service and I was impressed. Recommended.
Fantastic service! I opted for the faster route and received a detailed report and prescription well within the specified timescale.
I would definitely use this company again and I have already recommended it to some friends!
Thankyou Dermatologist.co.uk

I think this is a very good idea as it is cheaper and more convenient that having to attend a hospital. However, in my case, I might have found it more helpful to have a quick phone conversation (15 mins?) rather than receive a very detailed report. Maybe this could be another idea for the future? My issue was with the meds prescribed and the hospital pharmacist only advised "I don't want to make that call. You need to contact the Consultant" when I rang the number for any meds issues.

I had a nasty skin flare up over Christmas/New Year when everywhere was closed. The online consultation and resulting advice was excellent - and very prompt (I paid for the 24 hour response as I was in such pain) - based on the evidence I provided on the online form. I tried to provide supplementary evidence using the email on the website but this was not taken into account which was a pity. I would say the service was very good but I am now hoping to see Dr Ashworth in person as I have been recommended by a GP to see a dermatologist. I need his expert help for my chronic skin condition. I would recommend this service to others.

Frankly, I was initially very skeptical, not least because I understand this is a relatively new service, but I felt huge relief when I received the report on a mole that had been concerning me on my back. The report was both very thorough and clear. And while the doctor understandably stressed he would still recommend a face-to-face consultation at some stage, as well as suggesting things to ask for along the way, he went to great lengths to put my mind at ease. Every statement the doctor made was visibly paired with knowledge and expertise. The limits of online consultations like this are obvious, mainly because of the limitations of either the cameraphone, or the person taking the pictures. But the site suggests best practice for photographing, and if you can get enough clear pictures, ideally in outdoor, overcast / cloudy daylight, and enter as much information as possible - wherever possible, I think this is a fantastic resource that can help alleviate concerns, or reinforce them to prompt further action. There is an additional charge for expediting the assessment, which I actually appreciated as I was getting a bit consumed with worry over the Christmas holiday period, with no professional available for days.
One negative - I received an email saying 'We received zero clinical information about the mole photos' - the form you fill out wasn't very clear on where to put the information. It asked how long I had experienced what I was experiencing, but nothing more. I would suggest a clearer form layout, if that hasn't been taken care of already.

They said I would get a prescription within 48 hours and I didn't. And my face hurts from the acne. The best I can do to talk to them is fill out a contact form that I don't even know when I'll be answered. Such a bad service for such an expensive price.

Didn’t tell me what my skin condition was called and prescribed creams that I have already used. Not worth £65, you rather spend that elsewhere and see a Propa dermatologist in person.
