Detail was able to accommodate my request for next day service. The technician arrived right on time. I requested an interior clean only and my car was spotless. The price was reasonable. My technicia... See more

Unacceptable Weed Smell
Really bad - the technicians wreaked of weed tremendously and I was concerned about my car smelling like that, when I mention it to them they said I don't see what the problem is, we're not smoking in your car. Then told me that since there was dog hair that I had to pay an additional $60 so I told them no, I'll go down the street and vacuum that out first that I'm not paying that much of an upcharge when it wasn't even that much hair. And then on top of that they wanted me to pay them directly vs online and that concerned me as they were young men, not professional looking and wasn't comfortable giving them my card info.
I called detail.com to see if they could cancel and send me different technicians but they were unable to.
Now looking for someone else.
Never came
Never came, wasted my whole afternoon. Customer support is non existent. Scheduled for 10am-1pm, Lucian the tech called at 2:45 to tell me he’ll be here in another hour and a half. This company is a joke
I have used this service one time in…
I have used this service one time in the past and was satisfied. The time frame I selected was from 10:am to 1:pm. The technician showed up right around 10:am and was done around 1:pm, and I went about the rest of the day that I had planned. I scheduled the same time frame for yesterday 6/30 thinking I would get the same service. At 11:am he was still a no-show. As I don't own a smartphone, I checked my desktop for e-mails. I had received an e-mail stating he should arrive at 11:15 am. I called customer service to verify. I was told he wouldn't be finished until around 2:15 pm. I told them I had expected the same service I had received in the past, and had scheduled a 2:pm appointment for the afternoon. He asked if I would like to cancel and reschedule. I said yes I will have to cancel, and call back to reschedule. He failed to tell me that there would be a $60.00 cancelation charge. I advise reading the "Terms and conditions" (FINE PRINT) before doing business with this company. They have most certainly lost a customer in me.
Bait & Switch
Website clearly shows the price for a Gold Package is $169 for my zip code, which is 60020. This was for a 4-door sedan, not an oversized vehicle. Also, the tech had it marked as "platinum" when he arrived, even though I specifically booked the Gold Package. If I hadn't noticed, I would have been charged for the more expensive service. Was then informed American Express is not accepted, and the tech wanted a tip on-top of the $205 I was forced to pay.
The tech did a good job and the car shines, but I will not be using this service again. This is not a local business, rather an "Uber" style tech company who matches local 3rd-party-contractors with your request. No skin in the game for them. Also, do NOT trust the reviews on their own website, they are fake. I gave the tech a good rating because he did do a pretty good job, and now suddenly I'm singing the companies praises on its own website. I will be going back to my local carwash for detailing. At least the guy who works on your car actually owns the shop and is interested in your feedback. Also, I happened to step outside just now, 10 hours after the tech left, and I see he threw trash all over the lawn adjacent to the driveway, probably angry he didn’t receive a tip. Classy.
What a waste of my day today has been.
What a waste of my day today has been.
At 9:45am your technician phoned me to tell me that the weather was forecasted to be rain all day today. He wanted to reschedule to Sunday.
I told him that he was incorrect and that the weather is going to be clear all day today, so I did not want to reschedule. We agreed that he would come and, if it rained, I would pay for the work I had ordered nonetheless.
He then asked me if I had heard of Venmo and Zell and if I would like to pay that way on the phone. I informed him that I had indeed heard of them, but I would not pay till he was here at my home.
He said he was going to be here at about 11:45 am.
Well, it is now 2:25pm, the sun is still shining, there hasn’t been a cloud in the sky all day, and I have not seen hair nor hide of this guy.
I am livid. I have put off other appointments to get this done today. If your technician didn’t want to work today, he should have simply not picked up the job. If you couldn’t provide a person to do the work you should not have accepted the job either.
This is the worst service I could have received, not to mention the cost to me of being at home all day waiting for a job that isn’t going to get done.
I hope YOU have a good weekend because I won’t. Instead, I will be spending it washing my cars myself.
Just awful
Just awful, signed up to get my interior detailed and the technicians came out and took photos - I got a call from customer service to upsell me on a new package at 80% higher cost. I said no, I just want the service I requested - I looked outside and the technicians had left with no notice - complete BS, DO NOT USE DETAILS.com!!
Very Unprofessional
I scheduled my appointment 2 weeks ago for 2 cars. Hours before the appointment they texted and said they had to cancel. I called. They said the technician was too far away for the day! They had my address for 2 weeks and didn't know until 4 hours before the service that he was too far! UNPROFESSIONAL
Had a confirmed appointment with a 3…
Had a confirmed appointment with a 3 hour window. 1.5 hours into the window I get a call from Detail.com the detailer cannot make it and would I like to reschedule. Absolutely not. After wasting an afternoon ensuring I was available and half-way through the window period they cancel. I asked about other options and was told they had limited service in my area. Fine; but why confirm my appointment. Do not use this service. Contact detailer directly.
not worth the price
wasn’t totally thrilled with the service. we bought best package and it wasn’t really worth it. My car was already very clean and my car didn’t really look that much better than when they started… wasn’t worth $250 was more like what you would get at a car wash .. I got a vacuum, wax (but they didn’t wax the top of my suv, window wipe and they left my carpets wet and still dirty
Customer service was terrible and…
Customer service was terrible and pushy. They told me uploading pictures were optional and then canceled my appointment 24hrs before because I didn't have the pics uploaded. I received a total of 23 emails/texts between the time I signed up for service and the next day when it was done. The tech was in a yelling match on the phone for about an hour, neighbors called because they were concerned. The entire point of the detail was to eliminate a moldy smell. $300 later and the smell is still there, as well as smears on the window and remaining dirt under the passenger seat. A horrible experience and I will never use them again. I will also deter everyone who is looking for detailing from using this place.
Detail.com sent a man from TK Detailing…
Detail.com sent a man from TK Detailing to do the work on my car and only did half of the services listed on the ad. When I asked him about the things he didn't do He started getting aggressive and stating that he did them, even though I stood right in front of him and showed him the dirty areas that he didn't clean. Even the smallest of things such as the radio and vents were barely wiped. I saw that he was wiping the interior with a sponge which made sense as to why the dust and dirt was wiped INTO the crack and crevices. Again he was so aggressive that I decided to take the issues up with Detail.com instead of continuing to try to get this man to actually do the work that was listed in the Ad. Overall this business seems to be fraudulent and the man then bullies you into paying for work that he doesn't produce. When I reached out to Detail.com they didn't care at all what this man had done and that he didn't provide the work. My husband just died and I was having to drive with my children to another state which is why I had my husbands car cleaned for us. We had to drive for 12 hours sitting on soaked wet seats and the work just wasn't done. Detail.com provided no help and didn't care at all.
Ruined my car’s interior!! DO NOT USE
I used detail.com to schedule an interior detail of my car.
The technician scratched up the center console of my 1 year old car.
I called and sent pictures and they gave me an expired policy number with State Farm – total fraud.
When I called them back they said that they were not able to help me.
They use subcontractors and take absolutely NO RESPONSIBILITY for any damage!
Terrible - would never use them or recommend them!
