Bad customer service, terrible communication. Can’t get diabetic supplies on time or when promised

Since I have had to change my diabetic supplier from Medtronics to CCS Medical, getting my necessary supplies has been a nightmare. CCS NEVER takes responsibility for their errors. They blame the drs, the manufacturers, the patient, and whomever else they can throw under the bus. They have an “automated” system for reorders, but it doesn’t work well. I have had to authorize and reauthorize and reauthorize several of the SAME order. I get emails to authorize, texts, and I go to the website. They never tell you they are out of stock unless you spend 30 minutes to an hour on the phone. You always have to call them!i had my pancreas removed, so I have no way of producing insulin. CCS doesn’t inform patients that they (CCS) is out of stock. I authorized and order two weeks ago (3/27/2024), which was supposed to be ahipped on the 4th, then it was the 10th, today is the 17th of April. I was told today that they are out of stock and have no idea when they will be getting more.

Sorry I can't option zero as a rating

Sorry I can't option zero as a rating. If you are in your right mind do not do business with this company. They are unresponsive, will not return money and will tell you that they need more documentation from your doctor. 4 times my doctor has sent them what they wanted. They are risking my life by not sending my supplies.

Without supplies for second time with CCS

For second time now son will be without supplies thanks to CCS medical delays. Sent email yesterday expressing concern because already using last sensor, inquiring about the cause of delay and offering to help in any way possible; no response, though there is now an expected ship date—in 11 days!!!

Stay Clear! One of the Worst Companies in the US

One of the worst companies in the United States. Do your research to see out other dealers of diabetic products, because this is THE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL. I pay my copay or $25.00 for Sensor Libre refills. This month, my balance was $165.00 - but with no explanation of what the larger amount was for. They have no way of looking up your history of payments, they have no details on what charges are for. Just an amount with nothing to show why. Support keeps you on hold forever, only to be told, that billing has to handle that and it's a 45 minute phone wait. If you choose not to wait and have them call you back. THEY DON'T. THEY NEVER RETURN CALLS. I emailed twice and spoke with phone reps twice. Four times, no progress, and today is the cut off to get my diabetic supplies on time.

Today I called one final time, and the women gave me the usual billing department nonsense. I refused and said, No, not this run around again. I want a supervisor. She said hold on please. Comes back, and says, please continue to hold. Then she just connects me anyway with the billing department and now I'm on hold for 20 minutes and about to hang up. Obviously, the last person I spoke with didn't want to deal with getting a supervisor or was told "just put him through billing". This is one incompetent company you don't want to deal with. Trust me!

This company is a joke! 🤯

I didn’t even want to leave a star for this company but I had to in order to leave a comment! I’ve NEVER in my life gone through anything like this in all the years I’ve been a diabetic! I wear an insulin pump and get my supplies here.. it took 3 weeks to finally get my supplies shipped..mind you .. I have to change my site every 3 days .. I had to drive an 11/2 to my diabetic doctor to give me three free ones to last me after being told it was put on urgent delivery and I still never received my shipment. I called two and three times a day every day for another week or better for them to tell me so many different things until finally, I had two phones and had my doctor on one end and CCS medical on the other for my doctor to tell them there was no reason or understanding of why my supplies had not been shipped. They said they would take care of it and didn’t until again the next day I had to call and throw another fit which is not something I do and is very humiliating. It was all very humiliating. I cried, I begged and pleaded with them!! It’s not something a patient should have to go through without my Supplies I have to give myself multiple multiple shots a day. I work several jobs A mother of two and a grandmother of three my life is busy and should never have had to gone through anything like this and would not have ever if it wasn’t for CCS medical. I find them a very poor establishment and hope no one else going through CCS medical has to experience this!!!, I am trying very hard to find a different provider that my insurance will cover and never have to deal with CCS medical again!!

Horrible company

Horrible company. I have getting my supplies for over 3 years and it has been a nightmare since. Supplies very frequently late and I go with my pump due to no supplies. I currently do not have a sensor for my pump, and was told a new ordered needed. The last order was 2 months ago. I am a retired nurse and worked for a commercial insurance company and I am lost in this. I have contacted my congressman and will discussing this issue with him. asking why Medicare is contracting with this type of business.

Never

Never, I repeat, never, do business with CCS Medical! My husband has been trying to get his medical supplies since November! I’m talking supplies like infusion sets and reservoirs for his insulin pump! He has had to get emergency supplies from the hospital, from Medtronic’s, a great company, his endocrinologist and even borrowed from others. Andy has been hospitalized three times with ketoacidosis, a life threatening condition for diabetics! CCS is aware of this. His doctor has submitted the requested information multiple times. Andy has made over 20+ phone calls, with wait times of up to two hours. He has been promised return calls, on numerous occasions, and has yet to ever be called back!

It is enough! DONOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are incompetent and potentially liable for malfeasance!

I have been using CCS Medical for my diabetic supplies for years. My Insurance changed so I called them to add the new insurance 4 weeks ago, I called them numerous times inquiring about my order. They kept saying that it was pending and needed approval. Today I called again and they said that they were not taking the new insurance. I understand that however, I don't understand why it took 4 weeks to let me know. Now I have to find a new supply house and am out of the supplies I need.

This is the second time that I had to rely on this company for timely delivery of my diabetes pump supplies and they failed to get them to me and I am not able to speak to anyone at the company that is able to get things done.
If you have a choice on who will be the supplier for your medical needs DO NOT CHOOSE CCS!!!!

CCS lacks core competency

1. They have an extraordinary long lead time from ordering the product to shipping; unacceptably so, when dealing with medical product.
2. They have persistently sent the wrong cgm despite my repeatedly providing the information regarding what my pump is and is not compatible with.
3. They are still billing me for product that I returned last year.

Avoid AT ALL COSTS

Avoid AT ALL COSTS! I've been put on hold, hung up on, lied to, and been taken around in circles regarding getting supplies for my Dexcom G6 and my Tandem T-slim insulin pump. They send the wrong supplies for no reason, and then when I contacted them, they sent me MORE of the WRONG supplies. Also they will only send me a Dexcom G6 transmitter every six months. It's a quick google to find out that a transmitter lasts three months (90 days). They told me to call the manufacturer (who affirmed it'd every three months (90 days)), and STILL CCS won't do ANYTHING to remedy this. There is no way to report issues on them, they send all of my CGM supplies LATE. They DO NOT CARE about their customers AT ALL. Horrible company. (I need to put in a day of experience but these issues have been going on for over nine months). I've sent them filled out surveys and details on the issue. Have they ever tried to fix anything? Absolutely not.

Horrible

I’m a type 1 diabetic. My insulin pump warranty expired on 11/6, and on that date Tandem got the ball rolling to get my new pump. On my patient portal, the new pump was stuck in limbo. I called last week on 12/27 to make sure everything was good to go because I’d already met my deductible and my pump would be a $0 copay. The order finally went into a status that I could authorize shipment, and they did ANOTHER authorization. It’s a new year so I lost my $0 copay because my deductible renewed. I have to pay $2100 to get my new pump. I cannot afford that, so no new pump for me. When I was told last week that everything was good to go and I didn’t owe anything. The rep I spoke with was very helpful, but ultimately her supervisor could not do anything to fix the issue and I am still being asked to pay $2100 upfront or $700 a month. No one can afford that. This isn’t the first issue I’ve had with them. Horrible company and I’m going to be pushing as hard as I can for my employer/insurance to go through a different medical supply company.

My opinion they are horrible!

In my opinion, horrible! Do not use this company as they screw up every single delivery. You get one shipment approved with a shipping date. Then 1 week later you get another request for authorization for product with a new proposed shipping date and a new order. They are completely incompetent!

horrible experience

horrible experience. Employees can care less. I was told 3 different days that I would recieve my daughter's diabetic supplies the next day and each day....stll no order. Each person I speak with, apologizes for the error and assures me that "this time" it will be resolved and I will recieve the order. Do yourself a favor and search another DME supply company. Horrible customer service. Very stressful dealing with this company!!

Complete waste of time

On Nov. 14 I called to re-order Dexcom 7.

It was a refill order.

I was asked my doctor’s info.

I replied “new doctor” and provided his info.

I then called my new doctor and asked him to rx the Dexcom 7 for me. Which he did, on Nov. 17, according to my Chart.

Tiktoktiktok 2 weeks pass.

No Dexcom 7. Where is my Dexcom 7?

The idiot employee never placed the order.

What the fudge.

I want your customers to know they have to act as if your employees are imbeciles, BECAUSE THEY ARE.

Exceptionally poor service and…

Exceptionally poor service and absolutely NO care for customer. My insurance required me to use CCS to get CGM and Insulin Pump supplies. Note: I already have the pump. Order placed over a month ago with CCS. Dr. sent work order and prescription to CCS. But no shipment. No contact either. Just silence. I can't login on to myccsmed.com, even after repeated reset password attempts.

Supplies ran out and I had to pay list price to pump supplier, even though insurance contracts with CCS. Have placed over 15 calls to CCS and 90% of time go on hold for 30-40 minutes, then get hung up on. The few times I got through they admitted they had prescriptions for supplies, yet didn't have 'clinical notes.' I stood at Dr's office and watched him fax notes to CCS. They still claim they don't have them. Liars.

My daughter has Type I Diabetes and we have been customers of CCS Medical for 2.5 years. It has been a miserable experience from the beginning. Every time I place a call, I get a different answer. They are horrible at interacting with my insurance company and no at CCS seems to understand exactly what it going on. I have wasted days on hold to address simple issues. If you call back enough times, one can get the answer you were looking for but it is probably not correct.

This company is tge absolute worst

This company is the absolute worst. Due to my insurance. I'm forced to deal eith them the only thing I would rate then 5 stars I'd for incompetence lies and excuses. Originally I received my insulin pump supplies monthly. About 2-3 months ago I was expecting my supplies but they never arrived. Contacted them and was told supply was delayed because I changed Drs, which wasn't true. I was then told they were waiting on pre-auth which could take 30 days. My supplies were dwindling and CCS didn't care. Each time I called was another excuse. My Dr had to scramble to help get my supplies. It took a few more weeks. I was told my supplies would now be quarterly but I was never told that. CCS told me tge pre-auth was denied because twice CCS put in for montly supplies. Anyway another issue, I have 6 days supplies left..I was told 2 weeks ago my supplies were mailed out. They suck and don't care about their customers
