Cold Calls and Evasiveness
Like the other bad review, I received a call out of the blue stating that I had engaged using their web form.
The person speaking was named Olivier.
When questioned for things like "when, and what IP" I got silence once more, then a return to the script of "using the webform".
If a digital design company can't capture simple things like date and IP address used, as well as perhaps sending a verification email as a security step, then they are NOT to be trusted with your data or money.
Seeing as they had my email that I know has been in data breaches in the past, as well as my mobile number, I'm of the opinion that they are either victims of a credential stuffing attack, or more likely, have purchaesed a breach database and are calling people on it.
Either way, as they are supposedly based in Dublin, this is a breach of GDPR. I will be making a complaint through their website shortly, after which, should I receive no satisfaction, forwarding the details onto the DPC office.
A message to Digital Centric - Do better, dump whatever DB you've aquired - it was obtained through less than legal means.
In short, don't trust, don't confirm info and get the caller's details.
