A complete waste of money. Food was awful, dissection was worse, gloves and hats were from a kitchen. Lots of sadistic and tasteless references. Only Victorian element was it’s similarity to their freak shows

Pretty disappointing.

The event stated approx 1 hour late as the check in process took for ever. So the 6pm-10pm evening turning into a 7pm - 10:30pm evening.

The dinner was good but there was no water on the table. Pretty shocking for a £75/head event. I would say though the dinner was NOT victorian themed as advertised.

The website promised dissection of the brain and GI tract. There was no live or practical dissection of either of these but there was one GI tract specimen to look at.

There was insufficient PPE: one pair of cheap food grade gloves for the entire evening and no aprons or masks. This is not PPE by any dissection standard.

The event was 30 minutes late starting, which they did not state why this happened.

Sam who created the event just came to introduce the event but took off, didn’t take part in the event other than this.
Holly on the other hand was brilliant! How she explained it all was so immersive, interesting and exciting. She was very passionate about what she does.

Value for money I would say it’s worth a £50 ticket and not £70+ price tag. You are sat at a large circle table with about 10 people per table, this was ok for us as they were a funny and fantastic bunch. But some people may not like this.

Overall it’s an immersive, interesting and fun event but just needs more organising from staff to make sure things are up to top scratch if public are paying £70+ per ticket.

It was shocking to say the least.
Waited in a queue for half an hour with most people wondering what was going on? No staff member came to explain that there would be a delay.
Entered into a hotel function room with round dinner tables that sat 10 people all squashed together. The dinner serviced was a chicken Kiev with dried and stuck to the plate veg, at no point was we asked or offered options on food. The pudding was chocolate cake which none of these are inspired by Victorian history as promoted online. Whilst dinner was being served in the back ground on pull down screens was the dragon's den show investing in the company and pointing out the profits to be made and high cost of the tickets this was on loop!
When it got started the show started at 8, it was one women speaking and no real detail on Victorian medicine at all it was below average anatomy and physiology at best.
No real engagement with the audience and staff just sitting around.
Nothing like what was advertised online, very disappointing and such a shame as the idea seems to have so much potential.

The idea is brilliant 😁 loved the show and the trip down history lane. The food was delicious. The only point I'd like to make is, when talking about the specimens and having it being filmed for the audience; the filming should take place from above so as the audience can see from the dissectors view.

On another point the shouting from the kitchen is quite distracting, and possibly a different venue is more appropriate.

If you study History/ Archaeology then it is not the event for you. Great idea but really disappointed with the execution.

Nearly an hour late..to then sit and realise there was no refeshments at the event so it was back to good ol'queing at the hotel bar.

Dinner was frozen chicken kiev with a frozen fudge chocolate cake.

With dinner, we watched the tape of the CEO on Dragon's Den..so we first learnt how much of a profit margin he is making instead of anything victorian.

The lady presenter was good though, passionate about what she does and I liked that.

The dissection itself was essentially watch the presenter quickly and then we were left to butcher it up with blunt 3 tools.

Not worth the 90 odd quid

Really disappointing experience for the price of the ticket, show started extremely late, charged extra for decent gloves, bar queues we're an absolute joke - over an hour queuing!! After dinner we sat around for another 45 minutes, no other option for refreshments, no water provided) Basic things lacking such as soap in toilets, (which was needed as the free gloves split) open doors to enable you to enter and exit without touching things. The hairnet and gloves we're just for show, there was no discussion about cross contamination or health and safety (except fire exits)

The presenter Holly was amazing, she did a fabulous job - it was just very poorly executed.

It has potential to be fantastic but needs ALOT of work

I was really looking forward to the event, it was nearly an hour late starting and the '2 course inspired victorian dinner' was a chicken kiev and some chocolate cake.

There were 10 people to a table sharing one set of organs, and I was lucky enough to be on a really nice friendly table. There was no dissection of brain, we had to try to pull a tooth out of a pigs head. There was dissection of lungs and heart. We then got to watch the presenter explain the digestive tract which seemed a bit rushed towards the end.

As below, the concept is there but the execution is not.

PPE was a hair net and a pair of plastic gloves, very Subway-esque. £5 for nitrile gloves (but do you get a note book too!)

Could very easily pop down to your local butcher and get some scraps of organs for free for your own at home science lesson.

Arrived at the hotel and stood in the corridor for what seemed like an eternity - after waiting 40 minutes we were finally allowed in. Not one member of staff came to let us know what was going on or even to say that there would be a delay, a bit of communication goes a long way!

The food was nice, there just wasn't enough of it so went home hungry. Bar only had two members of staff for 150 guests so it took forever to get a drink.

Holly was a great presenter and incredibly knowledgeable. The dissection part of the evening was enjoyable, just a shame we didn't get to dissect any brain which was promised in the advertising of the event.

Overall we both enjoyed the evening, just a few things that the organisers could work on.

What an experience! 5 out of 5! I was throughly surprised when we actually had the opportunity to dissect samples for ourselves. It was so much fun! Surrounded with great company, the food was delicious and the staff was extremely attentive.
The dragons den clip was a fab little touch too!

The concept is fantastic, sadly the reality didn't meet expectations. An hour late starting, meant the evening felt rushed, the hands on walk through was good but camera work could have been closer to the subject in order to fully observe the process used.
The program (additional cost) contained no more than the script, or vice versa.
Would have been good to have more than one set of organs per table, and it felt unnecessary to show the dragons den clip on repeat where it could have been time well spent setting the scene for the rest of the evening.
Food was poor, served cold and had obviously sat on plates for an extended time as vegetables had dried to the plate.
A great concept, but certainly not worth the ticket fee

A really good experience and shared knowledge of medicine and the human body. The 2 course dinner was really nice, better than expected. The dissection is fun, interesting and a good opportunity to get to inspect and learn about organs that you are studying. As a student paramedic, I’ve found it really helpful to look at and dissect organs that I wouldn’t otherwise see. The structure and layout of the evening was well thought out. And a great opportunity to meet people in a similar field.

A little disorganised with time keeping to start with but overall really good evening and I would recommend

Lovely experience. The 2 course meal was delicious, the chicken and seasoned vegetables cooked well and a yummy chocolate cake for dessert. The dissection experience made you feel like a little surgeon with the supplied ppe and tools. Would have been better if the single pig specimens per table were not shared amongst 10 people, however I do understand it’s hard to come by pig specimens. Lovely experience either way, would do this again.

I was told by my friend about this event, and we went ahead and booked.
The only downside is that the event was organised from 6pm, however we only been allowed in after 6:30, so we have been queening in the hotel lobby.
The meal was good.
Would recommend the experience.

An enjoyable experience for medical and non-medical people. Our 2 course meal dinner was delicious.
The event staff were very professional and the entire event was just flawless.
As a downside - too much time wasted until we were able to get into the venue.
Overall, I would definitely go to other of their events.

Been a grand time. Food was extremely nice, especially the chocolate cake. The dissection part was amazing, never done anything like it before so would definitely recommend for someone completely new.

Great fun, absolutely brilliant and unique night out! Amazing, totally worth it
