I placed an order for a Bistro Set and…

I placed an order for a Bistro Set and then read reviews which I found concerning. I contacted Directgb via email and received a swift response answering my concerns and queries. I must say I received excellent, polite and helpful customer service. I ordered my item on a Thursday and it was delivered in perfect condition on Saturday. Would I recommend/use this company again - absolutely. JN

Perfect company

Wen I was looking for a summerhouse for someone to deliver and build I was looking for about 4 weeks ,
Came across shedrite who make bespoke timber frame summerhouse there was perfect 100% the build quality was well out of the box , the team kept me informed all of the way .
When the men turned up to erect it there did not stop and did a perfect job .
I would recommend them to anyone who needs that something special.

Unfortunately I have no choice but to pass on my quite frankly horrendous experience with this company .
The website is worded like you are buying directly from them but you aren’t .This is a 3rd party business . My garden room was actually from another garden room company .Because of this neither company will take responsibility for faults .
Firstly , My garden room was delivered a month early because an office member had written a date down wrong , not my fault. Eventually the importance of my garden room getting delivered and built on the original date that had been given to me (my business was relocating to this building and I had electrical and plastering work booked in for the days after installing) This was rectified and dealt with well after a lot of conversation. I felt happy with the outcome and excited for my new garden room . However the following issues after it was built have a been a horrible , stressful nightmare .
On 24th September a pair of builders from a different company came to install my garden room. They told me straight away that they didn’t know what they were doing “we’ve been given no instructions or a plan “ they said , “don’t suppose you have a picture so we can get an idea of what it should look like?”
I paid £300 extra for doors that they hadn’t installed before but would “give it a go”!!!! £5500 this building has cost me and they would give it a go!
When they left at 6pm that night I was left with black tar roof adhesive all over my garden and toddlers after they had played out there.
Around 50 loose screws and a fair amount of staples .
2 windows had not been fitted properly leaving sizeable gaps above them . They also hadn’t fit a panel on the front of the garden room beside the front door. I informed GB direct straight away .
They had left me with a garden room that I am supposed to be using for my business with faults which meant I had to cancel my electrician for the Monday and plastering on the weds . I was informed that the installers from the other company couldn’t get anyone to look at for 3 weeks after installation.I explained this was not within a reasonable time frame and I expected someone to fix it sooner or to be compensated . I explained that I needed to get my business moved into the building and simply couldn’t afford to wait almost a month for it to be fixed . After nearly 2 weeks of back and forth unhelpful phone calls from the maker/installation company and GB direct , both insisted it was the others fault to fix .
I was eventually told by the installers to get a quote from a builder to fix the issues so I can go ahead with my electrical and plastering work to enable me to start trading from my new premises. Today (Monday 11th) this option has been denied after sending an invoice for a very fair quote to fix their builders incompetent work and again I’m left with the date of the 14th . I was also offered next day delivery for the piece of missing facia wood which mysteriously can now only arrive on the 14th too . There was never any intention to help me with my faulty garden room , they have dragged it all out to suit them with the date of the 14th looming .
Gb Direct didn’t offer any resolutions and the other company insisted I wasn’t their customer and that GB direct was their customer so they were powerless .
My building is now in breach of the terms and conditions.
I have sought legal advice and given the companies time to do the right thing but neither have .
Update , I received a threatening and aggressive phone call after placing this review and still no attempt has been made to rectify the issue.
I have personally paid out for the faults to be fixed with my garden room .

Good Afternoon,

We provide a number of summerhouses from a number of trade suppliers. You reported a fault with regards to your summerhouse with a strip of timber on the front of the building missing and two small gaps under your installed windows. We reported these faults to our supplier immediately who gave you a date to re-attend and resolve your issues within 2 weeks. You was unhappy with this date so the supplier advised you if you get a quotation from a third party to repair the issue and let them know the cost and if it was reasonable they would send across the money to pay for it. 2 Weeks later you came back to advise the builder is at your property and has completed the repairs already and advised of the bill, however you hadn't been in contact previous to advise of the total amount and the bill given was extremely high to fix the faults you had received. Therefore unwilling to send across the compensation for this issue, but instead to re-attend your property within 2 days to fix the missing strip.

In terms to breaching our terms there is no breach we gave you a date to re-attend within two weeks to repair any issues you reported of which you said wasn't good enough and got a third party to repair without advising of the quotation.

In terms of service originally the building was delivered to you early which was a genuine mistake from someone in our office. We had the building taken away and then we hired a truck and delivered your summerhouse to you just before the original date given to ensure it is installed in time for you. We also gave you a considerable amount of compensation for the inconvenience and as a gesture of goodwill the managing director purchased and sent you a Ring home alarm to install in your summerhouse for your business.

We have offer numerous resolutions to resolve your issues to which we haven't heard back from you since. If you wish to contact us please do so on customerservice@directgb.co.uk.

Really really happy with it!

Really really happy with the service. The garden furniture I bought is perfect and was available for delivery quicker than I expected. Someone was also in touch to arrange delivery and was accommodating to my availability to receive it. Delivery guy was polite and helpful too!

Summer house

This company is incompetent and cannot…

This company is incompetent and cannot run a business properly. They have appalling customer service and they are very disjointed. The company who provide the sheds etc are called Shedrite - they are equally as bad and told me that the date for my shed delivery was wrong due to a 'system error' although when I challenged this as not being possible as humans have to input info into systems, they were adamant that it was a system error - all I wanted was an apology and them to be accountable for their mistake. I have also had problems with the company Divide buy who text me every morning at 5.50 am to say that my payment has been unsuccessful - it is unsuccessful as I have cancelled the order. Direct GB say they cannot sort this out. They promise to phone me back at certain times or e mail me but never do. Buy elsewhere - these are a bunch of cowboys!

Hi Don, Unfortunately the issues with the other companies we have advised of is out of our hands. We have been in contact with you throughout and emailed you all the details with regards to your shed delivery. The finance provider we use would contact you if you haven't paid your installment there is no way to stop this. The day you asked to cancel your order (2nd September 2021) we cancelled your order immediately. Unfortunately you didn't advise before hand that you wanted to cancel.

Expected more...

I placed my order of a summerhouse back in March with the assumption of delivery mid June (as stated on the website at time of order), however I was not kept up to date with my delivery or even stock status! Unfortunately had to cancel my order for this reason. It was difficult to get clarification on my order / refund status but once the customer service team got in touch with me the refund was processed swiftly and I even recieved a good will for the inconvenience.

I've had nothing but issues with…

I've had nothing but issues with dividebuy and the company I made a purchase with through them called directgb.co.uk.

I used dividebuy to make an order in March and here I am now July 2nd without the item I ordered that was supposed to be delivered in 7 days. I chased and hounded direct gb about my item over a four month period with emails, calls and attempts to make contact through dividebuy. They barely ever replied to my emails and if they did I was either passed onto someone else who hadn't a clue. Ignored. Or I would be told the delivery date is approaching over and over again. Divide buy were notified many times that they were providing a platform for a company who was scamming me and I was told its not their job to deal with it and I'd need to resolve it myself with the company who I cant even get past their secretary. Only after I threatened to report dividebuy to trading standards did they then *so kindly* offer to email direct gb on my behalf and enquire about my delivery date. But only after three days of failed contact from directgb lol.Did I ever hear back? No lol. Neither direct gb or divide buy contacted me themselves again after that and I had to chase them all down. I haven't received my refund or my item I ordered still and I reported both companies to trading standards because they're a joke. Dont vouch for a company as a reputable seller on your website then try to avoid responsibility when they don't deliver.
As far as directgb.co.uk.. beware of the managing director. He was told his employees were incompetent after months of someone from him company telling me via email he would check my delivery date the next day over and over again for the day that never came.. only when I angrily called the company to report the employee, did I get passed onto the owner who was equally useless. Promising flowers for their failure that never came, promising a June delivery date that never came. Call backs that never came. Was always unreachable according to directgb secretary. He'll say anything to get u off phone so you'll leave him alone. As of now before writing this review.. last time I could actually get ahold of him was the last Friday in June. Saying he'd have a delivery date before July 1st, never happened. Said because my experience was so bad I'd get the shed for my trouble and refund. No proof of this of course because he said it over the phone and never did let me know delivery date by July 1st. Lies constantly beware

Ordered a gorgeous patio set from Direct GB in May. Really impressed with the customer service. Becky kept us informed all along, checking up weekly until we had it delivered mid June which is much sooner than we expected. Great communication and really pleased with the patio set.
