I received the new INTU blinds 3 days…

I received the new INTU blinds 3 days earlier than expected, so a big plus for that. Unfortunately the necessary tool to help affix the blinds was missing. A quick phone call and the tool was delivered the following morning. As I began the job I realised that a part was missing. Another phone call and the part was delivered the following day.Following the enclosed instructions, putting up the INTU blinds was a breeze. Despite the two false starts I would still highly recommend the INTU blinds from this company.

I’ve ordered from this company twice two different styles of blinds and both came quickly packaged well and the fitting process was easy and with their online videos was simple!

Easy and super stylish

I put off ordering my perfect fit blinds for a while as I was nervous to get the measurements correct. I cannot stress how easy it was from start to finish. Very impressed and will be ordering for my other rooms very soon!

Had to replace some old broken normal Perfect Blinds

Had to replace some temperamental ordinary perfect fit blackout blinds but had supply quality issues (Not Direct Order Blinds), gave up returned them & luckily contacted DOB great friendly Customer Service with some sound advice. The Astral Perfect fit pleated blinds were recommended they are excellent & far superior with a much better blackout & for just £6.0 extra you can have them opening from the top or bottom. Thankyou very much… the wife’s now nagging me to do our other bedroom next.
Just a couple of suggestions :
A label on the side bars bottom left…bottom right would be useful.
A better diagram showing where the chord is positioned below the bottom bar…I got a bit tangled up!.

Recommend you purchase here 5 stars plus if I could!!

Ordinarily I use trust pilot as either a place to air a grievance or for doing research before buying - rarely do I actually leave a positive review. However, I felt totally compelled to throw a huge amount of praise in the direction of direct order blinds and particularly praise my name sake Cheryl. The communication I have had with them has been helpful, polite and to be honest they really went above and beyond to help solve an issue I had was not of their making. The blinds themselves are well made and finished beautifully, their price cannot be beaten and I thoroughly recommend buying from them.

Terrible Customer Service

Firstly, the blinds fit very well - Although blackout they do let some light in through the sides.

The reason for 1* is terrible customer service. 2 of the clear plastic clips for operating the blinds arrived broken. When I contacted customer service for replacements I was sent a link to purchase more. 2 small clear clips came to £7.90 with shipping etc.

When you spend over £500 on blinds for 3 small windows surely a standard response should be simply sent out FOC?

I was told because I hadn't requested them instantly when received they don't know if they broke from "user error". This is a worrying statement in regards to the quality/longevity of the parts.

I simply hadn't installed the blinds when they arrived.

For the choice of perfect fit blinds online and pricing, I'd advise shopping elsewhere.

The fabric you purchased was indeed blackout, but the system itself isn't blackout so there will be light that comes down the sides.

Your blinds were delivered on the 2nd November, and you first contacted us on the 10th January. While we appreciate that not everyone has time to put their blinds up straight away, we do have a 14-day window for you to inspect the blinds and report any damage to us, even if this just means opening the box and checking the blinds for damage and not installing them. If the handles did arrive damaged, we cannot claim from our courier 2 months later when you reported this too us. We are a small family run business and this would leave us out of pocket.

It is common that people misuse the handles, not realising that they need supporting when operating. Given the nature of them being plastic, they can break due to 'user error'.

As I said before if you had contacted us about this straight away we would’ve sent out a new one free of charge but as we were not notified straight away you would now need to buy replacements.

If you place any future orders and have any problems please let us know straight away and we will happily rectify :)

Excellent

I discovered Direct Order Blinds by chance and was a little apprehensive about spending so much on something unseen. I needed my blinds in a hurry so I took a chance and placed my first order. My order was from the "fast track" range and I was not disappointed with either the speed of delivery or the quality. Customer service is second to none and the resolution to some minor issues far exceeded my expectations. I would have no hesitation ordering from Direct Order Blinds in future. Highly recommended. purchased intu blinds, these are fantastic units,they fitted perfect and very easy to install,a thing i will say just follow the instructions for measuring and get this right and the blinds will be a perfect fit.

Amazing Quality and Price

Ordered 2 blinds for my main bedroom front windows only as wasn’t sure of quality. Arrived today and I fitted them easily, omg they are brilliant. I’ll be measuring up the rear windows tomorrow as so want the whole room done. Went for the Blush colour to match my wallpaper and I couldn’t be happier.

Excellent service and quick delivery!

I just placed my first order with Direct Order Blinds and I'm really happy. I ordered some window handle spacers so I can open my windows again after fitting some Perfect Fit blinds which stop them from opening. The spacers were dispatched the same day and arrived the next day by Royal Mail. I emailed them with a quick question about delivery and I got a very quick and friendly response. I will happily use this excellent company again - thanks!

Problem with Intu blinds

Ordered Intu blackout blinds in July for a bedroom. Direct order blinds told me there would be a small amount of light leakage down the sides. In fact the blinds let in a lot of light at the top and bottom, too, which meant they didn't do the job I bought them for. I sent photos, measured the fabric as requested, but haven't heard anything back for two months now. The blinds now come out of the channels frequently and I'll need to replace them.

Fairly easy to assemble and fit.

Fairly easy to assemble and fit.

End hook piece from the tilting wand was missing, but was dispatched immediately when notified.

One small suggestion for the perfect fit system, is that the clips be provided in black rather than white (they don’t need to match the frame colour because you can’t see them from inside once the frame is on), the clip piece that slides into the gasket is more visible from outside and contrasts heavily with them being white against a black rubber gasket seal. We ended up colouring the offending area in with black sharpies and looks much better from outside as a result. (But our effort will fade to UV whereas a proper black coating will be more resilient I would have thought)

Excellent Products, Excellent Service…

This is second order from this company and the service and quality of the product has been excellent both times.

Also customer services were prompt and helpful when I have a minor issue (my fault). They replied within minutes and resolved the matter.

My experince has been 100% positive.

Edit: 20/4/2022. My reviews are always 100% honest, if I have not been happy with a companies service or product I say.

I've already recommended to a friend

I made my decision to use Direct Order Blinds based on others' reviews and I'm pleased to say I've had just as great an experience.
Cheryl (often mentioned in other reviews) was great at answering my questions and coming up with solutions.
The quality of the blinds is great, they're really easy to install (I'd recommend checking out YouTube videos to help though as the written instructions miss a thing or two).
I had a small issue with a broken piece, but that's on it's way to being sorted.
And price-wise they were as good as any other provider. I've already recommended them to a friend.

AVOID!!

I rarely leave reviews but I’m just sooo disappointed with their perfect fit wooden blinds for lots of reasons and feel that the description should have been more accurate. Hopefully this review will help save others for making the same mistake! Firstly, it looks like there are too many slats left at the bottom. There seems to be an extra one that isn’t needed and it affects the closing of the blinds as the twister can’t rotate enough to keep the light out. The string loops out because there’s too much slack. I’ve checked with the company and they say this is normal! Secondly, the holes where the strings go through each blind is brown and not white. This brown can be seen constantly and is such an eyesore. Also checked this with the site and apparently this is the correct finish.
Thirdly, the blinds sit quite low in the frame so the mechanism can be seen a fair bit at the top. It makes the blind look rather clunky and not as elegant as I was hoping for. I feel really let down by purchasing these blinds as they are rather expensive. I certainly wouldn’t have purchased these blinds if I had known these points and I do not recommend them. If I could attach photos I would! The company are also quite late to respond to emails and need constant chasing. If you are to purchase from the site I’d make sure you get the discount which is advertised on the site at time of sale as they don’t honour this retrospectively. However, I really would recommend you avoid avoid avoid!

We are sorry that you are disappointed with your blinds Aimee. Wooden blinds are one of the only types we do not manufacture entirely in house. Instead, the wooden venetian comes from one of the largest manufacturers of blinds in the UK. Whilst you dislike the finish of the blinds at the bottom, where you think there are too many slats, we can assure you they are manufactured correctly. We are not new to the blind industry, having over 20 years’ experience measuring, manufacturing and fitting, so we are confident that your Perfect Fit blinds have been manufactured to an excellent standard. Further to this, the “brown” holes you mention are simply the colour of the wood. You have selected a painted wooden slat – perhaps you had not seen this type of blind before? Never have we had this complaint previously.

Regarding our response time; I believe we responded to your first e-mail the very next day after receiving it. You then took two weeks to send us the photos we requested. Our reply to this was slower as it was sent just before Easter weekend (where we closed entirely for the 4 days, to give our staff a well-deserved rest) and we wanted to raise your issues with our supplier once again.

The highlight of our remaining e-mail exchange was your insistence on a partial refund in exchange for not leaving a negative review. As a small business, these types of reviews can have a profound impact on our sales and therefore our staff and customer relations. Luckily, there are plenty of positive reviews, here and on other sites, for prospective customers to read.
