Hi as we have been exchanging emails to see what the possible cause has been. These tools work with vehicles that are over 1996 that are OBD 2 Compliant this will not work with every vehicle but has a very good coverage. As you have confirmed it has worked with your Ford its not a quality problem but rather it falls into one of the vehicles it will not work with
